Second Marriage novel Chapter 241

With that, Nathan hung up the phone.

Charlotte could only hear busy signal and had no time to finish her following words.

After staying for a while, Charlotte put the phone down and sighed.

Something was wrong.

There must be something wrong.

During the day, when Nathan saw her back, he seemed to be about to say something, but then he stopped suddenly. Obviously, there was something hidden from her, but he did not dare to tell her.

But what exactly was that. Charlotte could not guess it.

Besides, Kennedy left from the meeting and disappeared for a day. What was going on?

There was something very important for him to take care of, though she didn't know what it was.

But human being was curious.

Especially after Charlotte decided to follow her heart, she especially hoped that she could melt into the life of Kennedy and slowly walk into his heart. Then she naturally wanted to know more about him.

However, she had no clue to find him at all.

Well, go back and wait.

She would wait Nathan got him back, so she returned to the room.

Lying on the soft sofa, she looked up at the white ceiling, reached to her abdomen and stroked it, mumbling, "Baby, if I want to be with him, will you be accepted?"

Charlotte knew that the child in her belly had not yet taken shape, and could not hear what she said, but she still hoped that Kennedy could accept it.

Charlotte smiled at the thought.

But suddenly Manfred’s gentle eyes occurred to her mind. Charlotte was startled. How could she think of him at this time? She shook her head.

She remembered the dream she had the night before.

"You don’t deserve my love."

Indifferent voice mercilessly sounded in the ear. In the dream Kennedy’s eyes were cold as ice and snow.

Suddenly Charlotte felt she had delusion. What she conceived was the child of other man, how could Kennedy accept it?

Delusion, everything was delusion.

Charlotte's mood sank to the bottom of the valley. She got up and went back to her bed, lying down for a sleepless night.

It was not until dawn that Charlotte fell drowsily asleep.

When she woke up again, it was almost noon. Charlotte turned over. It was sunny outside. She got up and took a look at the phone. It was more than 10 o'clock, but the phone was lying quietly, with no news.

Nathan Hadn't called her back yet.

Charlotte looked around again. It was still empty in the room. Kennedy hadn't come back yet?

After thinking, Charlotte made a call to Nathan.

When it was connected, Nathan sounded tired.

"Mrs. Moore."

"Nathan, how's Kennedy doing? Did you find him?"

"Mr. Kennedy is in the company now."

Hearing that, Charlotte felt relieved and then said, “That's good."

Nathan hesitantly asked, "Mrs. Moore... Have you waited for him for a night?"

Charlotte was stunned for a moment and immediately recovered her senses. Then she smiled slightly and said, "How come? I'm just checking. Since he's all right, I'll hang up."

With that, Charlotte hung up the phone before Nathan said a word.

After hanging up the phone, Charlotte looked at the mobile phone in a daze, and then lied back to bed.

What was she thinking? He could go anywhere he wanted to. It was none of her business.

Charlotte lay back on the bed, staring at the ceiling in a daze.

Kennedy did not allow her to go to the company, so she stayed in her room and didn't go anywhere.

And after waiting all night, she was so angry that she really did not want to see him at this moment.

After she lied for a long time, the mobile phone suddenly rang.

Charlotte was alarmed, hurried to take the mobile phone. She thought it was from Kennedy. When she saw it was Diana, she did not feel disappointed but excited.

"Diana?"

She had wanted to contact her, but did not know what to say. Since Diana called her, she could talk with her.

"Charlotte."

Diana's voice sounded tired and hoarse, as if she had cried.

Charlotte froze for a moment, and then asked, “What's wrong with your voice?"

"Nothing." Diana's tone sounded some fluster, then she said lightly, “Charlotte, it seems that recently we are not as good as before, Yanis......"

Speaking of this, Charlotte had that feel too. It seemed that after they had different opinion, the relationship between them became cold.

"My relationship with her does not prevent us from being friends." Charlotte explained softly.

"But, she is very hostile to me. If she affects our friendship, will you still be friends with her?"

"I..." Charlotte paused, did not expect that Diana would say so. Did she call for this?

When Charlotte did not know how to answer, Diana once again said.

"Forget it, I won’t question you. I want to ask you to hang out, and... I was not a stingy person. I know I am not your only friend. There must be others. I won't blame you."

Hearing this, Charlotte finally showed a smile.

"Good, Diana, I am glad you are ok with that."

"Shall we meet at the same dessert shop we met before?"

Diana liked to eat dessert. Although Charlotte did not like it, she was ok with that and nodded, “Ok, I will right there."

"Good."

After hanging up the phone, Charlotte quickly got up to change clothes, and then went out to meet with Diana.

After arriving at the agreed dessert shop, Charlotte entered the shop and saw Diana sitting by the window. She was wearing a pink veil skirt today, and her hair was curled beautifully. The color seemed to be newly dyed.

"Charlotte, here."

Diana waved toward her. Charlotte sat down in front of her and asked, “Diana, did you do hair?"

As she sat down, the waiter came over to give them the menu. Charlotte was wearing a smile, but when she saw Diana turned to receive the menu, she froze.

Diana was wearing that pair of earrings.

Diana loved dressing up, there was nothing strange that she wore earrings.

But the pair above her ears today happened to be the pair of earrings she had seen in the box.
