Second Marriage novel Chapter 245

After tying the safety belt for her, Manfred closed the door, and then went around to the other side to get in the car. Then he took off his suit and put it on Charlotte's body, “Cover it well, don't catch a cold."

Charlotte looked at the suit, gave him one look, and did not refuse.

Manfred was really good to her.

If... If she didn't like Kennedy, maybe she could stay with him.

Now, however, her mind was full of Kennedy, she really could not deceive herself.

Thinking of this, Charlotte closed her eyes, and did not talk to Manfred.

The car went on all the way. Finally it arrived at the parking lot of their house.

Charlotte was afraid of being seen by Kennedy, so she hurried to get off the car. As she got off the car, she put the suit in the car. Seeing that, Manfred smiled bitterly, “You don't have to worry. I asked the servant, Kennedy isn’t home.”

Hearing that, Charlotte stopped at this point and stood in place. She looked back at Manfred, Manfred was also looking at her.

"Of course, you don't want to know where he's." He smiled faintly and gently, but his eyes were hidden fierce. Charlotte saw it clearly and lowered her head.

Actually she knew it. After all, Diana wearing the pair of earrings showed up in front of her. Although she went to the jewelry store and asked, but she still could not believe it.

She thought maybe the sales lied to her, also maybe she was wrong. The pair of earrings that Diana wore was not from Kennedy. How could she be with Kennedy?

So she wanted to go and see if he still had the earrings.

"Take your time, walk slowly, or I'll take you to your room."

"No." Before he walked forward, Charlotte coldly refused him, and then she slowly walked forward, and after a few steps, she stopped and looked back at Manfred.

Manfred saw that she looked back and unconsciously shouted out her name, “Charlotte......"

"Manfred, I know you are good to me. I thank you very much for your sincerity, but feeling can't be forced. If you like, you can always be my big brother, no matter how it is between Kennedy and I."

Hearing that, Manfred eyes became less bright. After a moment he showed a bitter smile, “Is that what you want to tell me?"

"Yes, I won't say it again. Thank you for yesterday, I gotta." With that, Charlotte turned to leave.

Looking at her far back, Manfred curled his lips, staring at his palm. His hand had touched her before, now it seemed to be haunted by the fragrance of her.

He stood where he was for a long time before he left.

Charlotte returned to the room and found that the room was cold and deserted. Kennedy did not come back.

For two nights, for two days, he had not yet come back.

Charlotte lied in a hospital for a night, so she felt uncomfortable. She had to take a shower first. When warm water rushed down, Charlotte remembered that her wound could not touch water. But a few days had passed, it should be okay. If she did not wash the body, there would be bacteria, so she took a bath with clean water and change clothes.

Kennedy was not at home, so she put on a nightgown and went out directly.

As soon as she walked out of the bathroom, Charlotte felt the cold breath flapping over the sky. She stood in the same spot, looked at the person who suddenly appeared in the room in shock.

"Where were you last night?”

Icy voice mercilessly hit on Charlotte's head.

It was not others but Kennedy sat on the wheelchair. His expression was gloomy and cold, like the king of hell. When he inquired, his eyes were sharp like a knife.

"You..." Charlotte stared at him blankly, "Why did you come back suddenly?"

He didn't come back for two nights. Why did he show up here all of a sudden? And how did he know she didn't come home last night?

“Why?” Kennedy sneered out loud, “This is my house. When should I get the consent before I come home?"

It made Charlotte’s scalp numb. She could only gently explain, “I don't mean that, I just..."

Her words had not finished, Kennedy pushed the wheelchair to come over, held her wrist, and pulled her into his arms.

"Ah!" Charlotte exclaimed and lied prone on his body.

She had just taken a bath, with moisture on her body. And she did not put on underwear. When she lied on his body, she felt a part of hers hurt. She blushed and wanted to push him away.

Kennedy’s facial expression was gloomy, and his breath of the whole body was dark!

"That's not what you mean? So what do you mean? Or do you think I have disturbed you by showing up?"

“What?” Charlotte looked at him with consternation and tried to push him away, but her wrist was held so tightly that she turned pale and said, "You hurt my hand."

"And you know it hurts?" Kennedy stared at her coldly and said in a mockery, “Why didn’t you think of this last night you did not come back? Huh? Do you know you're a married woman? Do you know what you should do?"

Hearing that, Charlotte finally understood why Kennedy was angry. She stared at him, “How do you know I did not come home last night?"

"You think you can get past me?" Kennedy sneered, "You seem to be bolder since you married me. How dare you not come home at night? What did you do last night?"

His tone was at first accusatory, then indifferent,

Charlotte was guilty and afraid. How would know she did not come home last night?

But being interrogated like this, Charlotte suddenly reacted and wondered what qualification he had to interrogate her.

She slowly raised her head, looked into Kennedy’s eyes and said in a calm voice.

"Do you care what I did?”

Hearing that, Kennedy’s pupils shrunk. He narrowed his eyes to look at her, "What did you say?"

Charlotte was not afraid of him at all. She pressed her lips to meet his eyes and kept her voice deliberately low.

"You know what I said? Kennedy, with what you can stay out at night and I cannot? You stayed out for two days and two nights. I've only been out for one night. Why are you yelling at me?"
