Second Marriage novel Chapter 257

Gnashing teeth, Kennedy stared at woman with red eyes. He felt she was abominable when she said that but felt sorry to see her being sad.

Fidgety mood welled up in his mind. Kennedy did not know what to do at that moment.

Charlotte continued, “It is not like a decision.”

“Then don't mention divorce.”

Charlotte paused and looked at him. “Then you give me an explanation, explicitly.”

Kennedy felt she was jealous and questioning her. But before she said that, he still planned to hide it from her, so he did not admit.

“What explanation do you want?”

Charlotte curled her lips and looked at him with a bitter smile. “At this point, don't you still want to say it yourself? Or do you enjoy having affair with two women?”

“What the hell...” Kennedy gnashed his teeth, “What on earth are you talking about?”

“Do you know who I saw today?”

Kennedy stared at her with a frown, waiting for her next words.

Charlotte smiled, “I not only saw Yanis, but also saw Diana in the morning.”

Kennedy’s eyes became cold, “You saw her today?”

“Well, what a coincidence? I met her, and I saw that she was wearing a pair of pink earrings on her ears, exactly the same as the ones I saw at the jewelry store. And just now you gave me another pair. It's very unfortunate. Although they are very similar, they are different.”

Charlotte had made her words clearly, Kennedy frowned deeply.

He wanted to hide her before the investigation, but she had seen Diana.

And Diana met her with that pair of earrings on... How should she feel about that?

“You think I gave her those earrings?”

So she had such a big reaction when she opened the box?

Charlotte asked, “If it wasn't you, who gave her?”

This question was very clear. Charlotte had been staring at him, wanted to see something from his eyes, but Kennedy’s eyes were firm from beginning to end.

Charlotte paused and heard him speak in a hoarse voice to defend himself.

“If I say no, will you believe me or not?”

Charlotte did not speak, she obviously did not believe it. Otherwise, she would not ask him.

“Why did you ask that? How did she get the earrings if you hadn't given it to her?” Charlotte asked, somewhat hysterically, after that she realized she had made a terrible faux pas.

She looked like a silly woman asking her husband if he loved her.

When did she become like this?

Thinking of this, Charlotte took a deep breath to suppress her anger, and then turned her head, “Forget it, I don't want to talk about this anymore. Do as you want.”

With that, Charlotte pushed him away and wanted to get up. Kennedy pressed her back and said in a cold voice.

“I didn't give her the earrings, and things aren't what you think they are, and... will you believe it?”

Seeing that she did not raise her head, he held her chin, forced her to look into his eyes, once again explained coldly, “I never explained to anyone, you are the first one let me say so many words.”

Charlotte, “......”

She looked at him. “So? Do you feel that besides believing in you, I owe you a debt of gratitude for what you've done to me?”

Kennedy pursed lips and said coldly, “Do you have to be so aggressive? Charlotte, what on earth do you want?”

Charlotte laughed out loud, with her face pale against the light. “Don't touch me, don't talk to me, and don't ask me!”

Kennedy frowned and stared at her.

“You...”

“Let go!” Charlotte roared, shook off his hand, and walked towards her shakedown, “From the first day to marry you, I have never had a good day. You don't know how I suffered every day. In order to stay, I agreed to your terms and signed the contract under your stress. Do you think I want to live like this? I've had enough.”

“Enough?” Kennedy narrowed his eyes, “Charlotte, do you know what you said?”

“Of course.” Charlotte raised her chin, “I am serious, let’s get divorce.”

“I beg your pardon?” Kennedy felt he was being forced to divorce. She had said divorce for a few times, which made him mad.

He was very angry.

But he could do nothing.

She was resolute, Kennedy sneered, “Give up that thought. Since you have married me, you will never get divorce. You're not going anywhere.”

Hearing that, Charlotte stood in situ, looked back at Kennedy in disbelief.

“Why? I just brought the contract forward.”

“Contract?” Kennedy’s eyes were cold, he said, “The contract is in my hand. I am the initiator of the contract, the time to terminate is depend on me.”

Charlotte, “...You've gone too far!”

Kennedy raised his eyebrows and showed a radian on lips, “From the moment you married me, you are bond to me. Don’t try to escape.”

“As for the contract.” Kennedy stared at her, “If you think you have the right to terminate the contract early, I can tell you that I can destroy it.”

Charlotte, “What on earth do you want? You don't like me. Do you have to tie me down? Can't I just get a divorce? You love each other and I agree you to be together, isn’t that enough?”

Kennedy’s eyes got darkened.

“In my world, only I can decide.”

“Besides, I don’t like her.”

Kennedy's voice was low in the last sentence and Charlotte did not hear that. She only heard the first sentence. She was angry and did not want to talk to him and went back to her bed.

She did not change her clothes but directly lay down. Charlotte angrily covered the quilt to the top of her head, no longer paid attention to Kennedy.
