Second Marriage novel Chapter 269

Looking at Kennedy getting farther and farther, Charlotte withdrew her eyes until he disappeared at corner.

She looked down at her clothes and then at the calm sea.

Was all this real?

Why did she feel so unreal?

Twenty minutes later, the servants brought breakfast.

She had a hearty breakfast of bread, toast and sandwiches, and a choice of fruit.

The servants were very polite to her, respectful, but curious, and looked at her as she delivered the meal.

When they were far away, they discussed it in a whisper.

“Who do you think this woman is? I've been here in all the years, I've never seen a woman come with Mr. Kennedy.”

“The first womam brought by Mr. Kennedy to H Villa certainly is not ordinary. We must serve her well and don't offend her.”

“She seems to be nice. I don’t think she would give us a hard time.”

“Yes, but who knows what she really looks like? Anyway, don't look around, don't ask more questions.”

A servant said. After all, she had felt that Charlotte was looking at them with confused eyes. It was very likely that she was not satisfied with their eyes.

“I know, let's go. Be careful at lunch.”

Charlotte had no appetite, so she chose only a few pieces of fruit to eat.

After she had eaten, she lay down in her chair for some time, but after a while she became bored, so she got up to look about.

As soon as she got up, one of the servants hurried forward and asked, “May I take your orders?”

Charlotte was shocked. She did not there was a person...

She was stunned for a long time before shaking her head, “I have no orders, I just want to walk around.”

“Shall I show you the way then? I know this place very well and I can tell you about it.” The servant looked at her with smiling eyes that were crescent-shaped.

Charlotte wanted to refuse, because she wasn't in a good mood, and her eyebrows were sore from the hangover. But seeing her so enthusiastic and sweet, she couldn't resist. She nodded, “Yes, please.”

The servant stepped forward, “Please follow me.”

Charlotte followed her steps.

Across the corridor, there was a huge courtyard full of all kinds of flowers and plants, where the faint fragrance could be smelt. Charlotte could not help but take a look.

The servant walked while introducing to her. Charlotte followed for a long time, feeling dizzy, because it was too big. It must have spent much money to build such a scenic area.

Charlotte looked at a building in a daze.

“What's the matter?”

Charlotte recovered and smiled. “I was thinking... How much would it cost a day to live here?”

Hearing this, the servant was stunned for a moment at first, but after a while she couldn't help but smile.

“What are you laughing at?” Charlotte asked in puzzle.

The servant explained, “You don't know? This is the scenic area of Mr. Kennedy’s private villa. It does not cost money.”

As her words fell, Charlotte's face turned pale. Her lips slightly opened, but for a long time she could not say a word.

This big place was Kennedy’s private villa?

And she was still wondering how much it cost to live here a day.

Sure enough...was that the difference between her and him? He had more money than she could imagine. She was struggling to make ends meet every day. When the company deducted her salary, he had so much money.

How could possibly Kennedy like her?

But Diana was different.

She had a good family background. Although the Nelson family was not as rich as the Moore family, Diana could be a match to Kennedy.

Thinking of this, Charlotte's face became gloomy.

“What's the matter with you?” The servant saw that she was suddenly pale, and asked anxiously, “Are you feeling ok? Shall I call Mr. Kennedy?”

Charlotte was in no mood to answer her, but only shook her head, but the servant turned and ran straight to look for Kennedy.

Charlotte looked at her back, smiled helplessly, turned around and walked aimlessly.

Such a big place was a private place of Kennedy.

A villa by the sea.

She could believe that she could have married such a powerful and rich man.

Unfortunately, it was just a dream.

Kennedy heard the servant said Charlotte did not feel well, nervously followed her to find Charlotte, but he did not see Charlotte when he arrived at the destination.

“Why, she was here just now.”

Kennedy frowned, “What happened?”

The servant shook her head, “Nothing, I took her around in the villa and she suddenly looked bad. I do not know if she does not feel well. She had a few pieces of fruit for breakfast.”

Hearing that, Kennedy frowned deeply, “Tell a few people to look for her nearby, notice me after that.”

“Ok!”

After waiting for her to leave, Kennedy pushed wheelchair alone to look for her nearby.

Charlotte could not go far away. She just sat on a nearby board, put her legs into the water and gently swayed with her hands behind her. She didn't know what she was thinking.

Kennedy saw this at the moment he found her.

He felt relieved and rolled the wheel toward her.

“The servant said you look ill. Did you drink too much last night? Do you want to see a doctor?”

Charlotte didn't say anything. She froze and then looked out at the calm sea with a smile. “Kennedy, why did you bring her here?”

Kennedy had not thought about this questions. He just wanted to take her over at that time, following his heart. He did not think too much.

“Why?”

“This place is beautiful and I like it very much.” Charlotte sincerely said.

“Like it?” Kennedy raised his eyebrow. He did so much yesterday, but she did not say she like it, now hearing that she liked this place, Kennedy was in a good mood and showed a smile.

However, his smile lasted less than two seconds. Charlotte said, “Yes, I like it. It also makes me see the difference between you and me.”

At this point, Charlotte stood up, looked into Kennedy’s eyes and said in a voice as soft as wind.

“Kennedy, I found out clearly today that we never belong to the same world.”

“What are you trying to say?”
