Second Marriage novel Chapter 282

Charlotte looked up at Zain.

She could tell anyone else until all the facts were out.

After all, Zain was the elder brother of Diana. If it had not been dealt well with, Diana would be angry with her.

She was angry and sad.

But seeing Diana lying in the bathtub covered with blood, hearing that she did not want to live anymore, she felt her heart hurt. At that moment, she felt she was like a devil.

It was she forced Diana make such a choice.

“It is ok.” Zain stood up and said with a calm face, “You stay here.”

With that, he was to walk out. Charlotte followed up. “Can we go to the intensive care unit now?”

“No, don't worry.”

Charlotte thought since she could not come in now, she could not stay here, lest Kennedy found it out.

Thinking of this, Charlotte said aloud, “I'll go back now. I'll come and see her 24 hours later.”

Hearing that, Zain's lips moved and he nodded, “OK, your driver is still waiting for you outside, you can go back directly.”

“Yes.”

After saying goodbye to Zain, Charlotte walked out of the room alone. When she went to the door, she turned back and said thank you to Zain. After all, he got a the ward and let her stay.

Zain raised his hand with a calm face, looked at the time on his wristwatch, and then said quietly, “I will go back to the company. You can go back first.”

Charlotte paused. She thought Zain would be here with Diana, but......

On the second thought, he was wasting his time in the intensive care unit, where there was 24-hour care.

Charlotte felt relieved and then followed Sebastian out of the hospital.

On the way back to the villa, Charlotte's face did not look good. She looked out of the window at the scenery and did not feel good thinking of Diana in the bathtub.

The ICU staff was gonna take care of her for 24 hours, right?

Thinking of this, Charlotte closed her eyes, feeling tired both physically and mentally.

Sebastian probably knew she was uncomfortable, so he comforted, “Mrs. Moore, Miss Diana will be fine, don’t worry.”

Hearing that, Charlotte suddenly came to herself and opened her eyes to look at Sebastian who was driving, “Sebastian, what happened today...

“Mrs. Moore, don’t worry, I will not tell anyone.”

Charlotte smiled with relief. “Thank you. I don't want to tell him, became I feel it has nothing to do with him.”

“I understand.”

Charlotte closed her eyes. She told Sebastian that it had nothing to do with Kennedy, but was it true?

Did that Diana committed suicide have nothing to do with them?

Returning to H Villa, Charlotte shivered as the sea breeze blew. Rebecca came up to her and asked, “Are you cold? Now the weather is cold. Hurry into the house.”

Rebecca noticed that Charlotte's clothes were not the one she was wearing when she went out. She had some doubts. When she just wanted to ask, she saw Sebastian behind Charlotte winked at her.

Rebecca had worked here for years. Seeing that, she stopped. Charlotte was distracted and walked into the room. Rebecca asked after Charlotte disappeared in her line of sight.

“Sebastian, what happened today? Mrs. Moore doesn't look good.”

Sebastian sighed, “She did encounter something today, but it is now under control now.”

“What is it? Tell me about it.”

Rebecca asked.

Sebastian felt she was curious and she would not tell others, so he told her about it, saying that Charlotte went to see her friend, but this friend committed suicide and was sent to the hospital.

Rebecca nodded, “If her good friend suddenly committed suicide, she should be shocked. Sebastian, I will comfort Mrs. Moore and I will tell others about it. It is dark, you can go back.”

“Ok, I know you are clever, I am leaving.”

Charlotte returned to the room, sat on the sofa, and looked ahead with no focal length in eyes.

Rebecca brought a bowl of hot soup in, “Mrs. Moore, a bowl of hot soup will keep you warm.”

Looking at the steaming soup, Charlotte suddenly remembered that Diana fell in a pool of blood, gradually, the bowl of soup unexpectedly became blood, dripping, which shock her line of sight and brain.

Charlotte had a pale lip, trembling. Rebecca found her wrong and was to ask what was wrong, Charlotte suddenly screamed and clapped down the bowl.

Bang!

The glass bowl fell to the ground and broke into pieces of glass. Rebecca was startled and widened her eyes. “Your hand!”

Charlotte only felt pain in her hand. When she heard Rebecca's voice, she composed herself and found that it was not blood but a bowl of soup. Rebecca looked at her doubtfully.

Then she realized what she had done. Charlotte bit her lower lip with regret, “I'm sorry, Rebecca, I...I just...”

“Mrs. Moore, it doesn’t matter.” Hearing her apology, Rebecca was so shocked that she recovered after a long time and comforted her, “I have heard all about it from Sebastian. It is normal that you are distracted now. If you can't drink the soup now, why don't you take a bath first and I will bring the soup to you later.”

“You know about it? You......”

“What's the matter?”

With her eyes opened wide, Charlotte wanted to tell Rebecca not to tell others, but outside Kennedy’s deep voice was heard.

Her face suddenly changed. Kennedy was back?

As she was thinking, Kennedy sitting in a wheelchair already appeared in the room. Charlotte looked at Kennedy in a daze.

“Mr. Kennedy, you are back.”

Kennedy walked into the room and saw the mess on the ground and Charlotte’s face was pale.

Charlotte's heartbeat sped up, subconsciously she looked to Rebecca.

“What's the matter?”

Rebecca was quick to respond and answered, “I'm sorry, Mr. Kennedy. I slipped carelessly and hurt Mrs. Moore!”
