Second Marriage novel Chapter 285

Outside, Rebecca and Sebastian followed Charlotte.

“Mrs. Moore, didn’t you save her? Why did she refuse to meet you?”

“Never mind, let’s go back.” Charlotte could understand that Diana did not want to see her, just like before she did not want to see Diana.

If she said those words, Charlotte would not have gone to the hotel and would not have found that she committed suicide.

Till now, she had not come to herself.

“So we came in vain?” Rebecca said, “She has no conscience. You helped her, but she did not even say thank you and even said she did not want to see you.” Rebecca thought Charlotte must be sad right now.

Sebastian took a look at her and motioned her stop talking by shaking his head.

Rebecca realized that she had said wrong words out of anger, so she apologized to Charlotte, “I am sorry, Mrs. Moore, I said wrong words.”

“It is ok.” Charlotte shook her head and stepped out.

When they reached the gate of the hospital, she heard a familiar voice. It was Zain standing there with a calm face.

It was him. Charlotte felt pleased to see him, so she walked over to him.

“Mr. Nelson.”

Zain nodded to her and glanced to the two behind her, “Shall we have a talk?”

Charlotte raised her head in surprise, “Mr. Nelson?”

“You saved Diana. As her brother, I should thank you.”

“No, No.” Charlotte flushed and waved her hand, “I just found her ahead of others. If it were found by other people, she would be saved too. Besides, we have known each other for years, sure I would help her.”

She did not say that they were good friends, because she felt that they were less and less close.

Zain looked at her calmly, “I don’t want to know what happened between you, but I believe that you are a nice person.”

Charlotte, “…Mr. Nelson?”

“But I have a question.”

Speaking of this, Zain’s eyes became emotional. Rebecca and Sebastian saw that and then looked at each other.

God, did this man like Mrs. Moore? No way!

“What is it?”

Zain said, “Let’s sit down at some place.”

He fixed his eyes on her eyes. He knew it was impolite, but he could not help it. They looked so alike.

Every time, Zain saw her, he felt familiar. Were they really blood related?

He got her information last night from Megan.

Her detailed information.

He spent a night to finish reading it.

Later, he found that not only her temperature was like that person, but also the way she acted and talked. If were not that they looked different, Zain would though it was the same person.

He got the answer in heart, but he did not dare to admit it.

It was significant after all. If he made a mistake, he would hurt two people.

So, he had better be cautions.

Rebecca was to refused. But seeing that Zain was like a wry man, plus Charlotte had agreed, so she could only follow Charlotte.

She thought even if he was a bad man, she and Sebastian could have the ability to save her.

There was a restaurant near the hospital and it was quiet. They walked in and sat by the window. Charlotte and Zain sat opposite.

Rebecca found the people from outside could be seen.

It seemed that Zain did have questions need to be explained by Charlotte, but have some evil ideas.

At this, Rebecca was relived.

The waiters came to deliver teas and they ordered some food. After that the water left with the menu.

“It is quite nice here.”

Charlotte looked around and said, “I didn’t expect to have a quiet restaurant near the hospital.

Zain did no speak, but lowered his eyes, as if he was thinking of something.

Seeing that, Charlotte did not speak again.

After a few minutes sitting there, Zain took a picture from his pocket and placed it in front of Charlotte.

“Do you know this, Ms. Nelson?”

Charlotte took the picture.

It was a safe lock made by gold. It seemed not special. She gave a smile “Is it special?”

“Nothing special.” Zain smiled and said calmly, “It is ordinary, but, it’s materials and its back are different.”

Charlotte was stunned. It did look different in the materials.

“My grandfather asked someone to make it especially.”

Charlotte nodded, “But the back cannot be seen from this picture.”

Zain showed her another picture, which was the back of the lock.

Charlotte did no see any difference, but Rebecca behind screamed, “Mrs. Moore, there are words on it.”

Charlotte then noticed.

Alice.

What did it mean?

Rebecca asked and wondered if Zain was trying to find the lock. But why? Mrs. Moore never got to know it.

Charlotte felt unfamiliar with it, so she looked up at Zain, “Mr. Nelson, what is the matter?”

Zain felt his throat rolled and then said.

“Have you ever seen this lock?”

Charlotte shook her head with a frown.
