Second Marriage novel Chapter 294

For Kennedy, he just came to pick up his woman.

She had gone out to play and was too late to return, so he came out to pick her up.

But for Charlotte, it was like she had experienced a disaster.

Almost, she almost is part with him.

Seeing that she wore little, Kennedy frowned and showed displeasure.

“Mr. Kennedy, I was going to take Charlotte down, and you are here.”

With that, Yanis took a look at Nathan.

Seeing Yanis, Nathan’s cold face flushed. He did not dare to look into Yanis’ eyes.

“Since Mr. Kennedy is here to pick you up, go back with him.” Yanis said and gently pushed forward Charlotte, “You don’t need to find me when it is late, I can come to you the next day and then we can go shopping.”

Charlotte turned around and looked at her gratefully. “I am leaving.”

Yanis waved to her, “Go ahead. Mr. Kennedy, I will go back now.”

After Charlotte went in, her hand was held by Kennedy. Compared with his hand, her hand was cool, and Kennedy's hand was emitting a searing temperature.

“Your hands are so cold. Don’t you know it is cold now?”

He frowned and scowled, took off his suit and handed it to her, “Put it on, don't catch cold.”

“Ok.” Charlotte took the suit and put it on. Suddenly she thought of that he threw that suit she had put it on and said it was dirty.

But now... He always gave his suit to her, and... he would wear it the next day.

It's as if he wasn't the one with the neat freak before.

Downstairs, Charlotte pushed Kennedy's wheelchair onto the car. After the two sat down, they did not speak. The car was quiet, because of what had happened before still annoyed Charlotte.

Although Yanis had enlightened her, she had been thinking of what Diana said.

Before she had figured out whether Diana was pregnant, Charlotte would not feel at ease.

“Anything wrong?”

As Charlotte was thinking, Kennedy suddenly asked.

Hearing this, Charlotte was surprised and turned to him.

“No.” She denied directly, after all, tomorrow she and Yanis would find out the truth, so today she did not want to argue with him.

At this thought, Charlotte took a deep breath and pressed her thin lips together. “I just...Recently I got bored in H Villa, so I went to Yanis. What is the problem?”

What was the problem?

Kennedy stared at her sharply. It seemed that there was no problem, but......but there seemed to be a problem.

However, Kennedy did not know what the problem was.

In these two days, Kennedy was worried about her. He pressed thin lips and did not speak again.

Charlotte turned her head and they kept absolutely quiet and returned to the villa. Charlotte didn't push him when he got off, but waited for him to get off the car.

When they reached the room, Charlotte put down her bag. “I take a bath.”

She walked to the wardrobe but when she passed by Kennedy, he suddenly took her wrist.

“Do tell me if there is something wrong. I don't want secrets between us.”

Hearing that, Charlotte froze and then looked back at Kennedy, “If I put everything out, do you think there is no secret between us?”

He said he would take care of it, but she got nothing and he didn't tell her everything.

So what if she told him her thought? Was there really no secret between them?

As expected, Kennedy froze and fowned. As he was to speak, Charlotte showed a smile, “I am joking. How can we have a secret? I've told you everything. Just do your job and don't worry about me.”

Although she had said so, Kennedy still fixed his eyes on her. The darkness in her eyes almost drown her.

At the beginning Charlotte could keep her smile, but gradually, her smile became faint. Kennedy said.

“Do you mean it?”

Charlotte recovered. She pressed her red lips and nodded.

“Yes, of course. Do you think I am deceiving you?”

Kennedy stared at her in silence.

Charlotte was disappointed. She didn't feel that she was deceiving him. She just felt that she was going to investigate the truth tomorrow, so she had nothing to tell him.

Thinking of this, Charlotte turned around and walked away.

“I believe you.”

He said. Charlotte froze and then looked back at him with complex eyes.

Charlotte felt that Kennedy had never believed her, and...they were too different. Diana’s words were unpleasant to listen to, but she was right about one thing.

She and Kennedy were not from the same world.

They were like two different lines, what if they intersected now? After a period of time they would separate.

Charlotte looked at him for a while, said nothing, and then went to the bathroom to take a bath.

That night, Kennedy did not hug her to sleep. She held the quilt in her arms and slept in the corner, far from him, and he did not come up to her as he always did.

The next day, as usual, Charlotte got up and got changed. Then she went directly to Yanis.

“How are we going to investigate? Go directly to ask Diana?”

“It is the most direct way, but... it's not the right time to go to her now. If she does tell you that, she'll be ready for it. It would have been very easy for her to fake a pregnancy statement.”

Hearing this, Charlotte frowned.

“According to both of our abilities, for your sake, we can't ask Kennedy to help us, and I don't have any connection, so we may ask Mr. Manfred to help us.”

Hearing that, Charlotte froze?
