Second Marriage novel Chapter 301

Perhaps Yanis was taking care of her feelings, because of what Diana had done.

Charlotte pressed her red lips and did not speak again.

Besides, she forgot to read that document.

Through the rearview mirror Manfred looked at her. While driving the car, he asked, “Do you have a good relationship with Yanis?"

Hearing that, Charlotte came to her senses and nodded subconsciously, "Of course."

"No wonder she had done so much for you. She's really a good friend."

Charlotte could not help but smile. "Yes, she is more loyal than I thought. I never thought she could be so kind to me."

"You've got your dress ready for the party, haven't you?

"Yes."

"But I haven't. Later, while I'm looking for a suit, you can drop in there and put on your makeup. Then we can leave on time. Don’t worry, we won’t be late.”

Charlotte seemed to have no other response except to nod obediently.

In her hand was the dress box, as well as a stack of thick document, which was about the investigation of Diana.

She should have opened it as soon as she got in the car, but for some reason she did not have the inclination to open it.

After driving quietly for a long time, Manfred seemed to detect something and suddenly asked, "Don't you open it?"

Hearing that, Charlotte froze for a moment and then smiled faintly, “Don't worry."

Manfred said, “At the meal, I thought you were quite anxious. Isn’t that what you care about?"

Sure she cared.

Charlotte pinched tightly the documents in hand. She was very concerned about this document, but she keep thinking of Kennedy’s look before she went out......

It seemed that there were two choices to her and at a glance, she would know which one was more important.

Yanis said that she was not brave, because she had been hurt before and she was afraid that she would get betrayed again. If she was willing to believe Kennedy, nothing would have happened.

And if she chose to believe, was it too late?

Thinking of this, Charlotte took out her mobile phone and send to message to Yanis.

Yanis should be in the car and she replied soon.

When she saw the message, Charlotte got sour in nose and almost cried out loud.

She had to cover her mouth. There were tears in her cold eyes, but there was also smile.

"Just follow your heart. That means you are brave enough to face your feelings. I am glad of that. And Charlotte, no matter which choice you make, I stand on your side, so go for it!"

Well, she needed to face up to her feelings and be brave.

There were two results and the worst was going back to where she was. She had nothing to lose.

With a smile, Charlotte wiped her tears, and then put the heavy document into her bag. When she went back, she would destroy it.

Manfred had noticed her action. In that moment he was disappointed, after a moment he gave a bitter smile, “It seems that you really like him."

As soon as Charlotte put the document in, she heard his words and her move stopped for a moment. After a moment she nodded, "Yes, that's true."

There was nothing hard to admit.

Manfred did not say anything and the car fell into silence until they got the destination. Manfred took her to do make up, and then he went to choose clothes.

Charlotte told dresser that she was in a hurry, so she was asked to make up quickly. The dresser agreed, so she went to change the dress and put on the makeup.

In the process of making up, she could feel that the dresser’s technique was very skilled and fast, but she still felt that it took a long time.

Until Manfred’s voice was heard, the dresser finished.

"I am done. Miss, you are so beautiful."

Charlotte came to her senses and looked at herself in the mirror. The makeup had already been done.

But she was in no mood to look closely. She thanked the dresser, and got up and went out.

Manfred was waiting outside. He was surprised to see her walking out.

The dress that Kennedy prepared for her was a light silver one, which was completely different from the style she used to wear. The silvery light made her look particularly dazzling. With the makeup on, she looked like a princess coming out of the painting.

At that moment, when the lights hit Charlotte, Manfred had illusion.

She was like a born princess, she should be born in the aristocracy, enjoying all the love and adulation.

But she did not have that family. It was rare that she had such temperament.

After two steps, Charlotte suddenly stumbled and she almost fell forward.

Manfred turned pale on face and stepped forward to hold her, “Are you okay?"

Charlotte was frightened and shook her head, “I am ok."

A few people were pale with fear, but they were relieved to see that she was being held.

"Good." Manfred let go of her hand and let her stand steadily, “Since it has been done, let’s go."

"Ok."

Charlotte followed Manfred out and got in the car.

By the car, Manfred unbuttoned the suit and took the suit off, “Put it on, it is windy at night. Your dress is too thin."

Seeing the dress, Charlotte subconsciously refused, "Thank you, but it won't be cold in the car."

With that, she opened the door herself and bent down to sit in.

Manfred’s was in the air, after a moment he put on the suit again.

He felt bitter in heart. She liked Kennedy, what was he thinking about?

The party was about to begin.

At this moment, the banquet hall was noisy. The employees were making preparations for the banquet. However, there was a wheelchair standing on the second floor, on which Kenney sat expressionless, staring coldly at the door downstairs.

That woman hadn’t shown up yet, and hadn’t him.

Oh, how cruel she was.

Nathan, who was standing by his side, could not help saying, “Mr. Kennedy, are you waiting for Mrs. Moore? She's sure to come. I've sent her the address."

Hearing that, Kennedy came to his sense and sneered, “What does it matter to me?"

Nathan, “Aren’t you expecting her to come?"
