Second Marriage novel Chapter 305

Charlotte, “...No! No! I can't go anywhere, you're so hurt."

If she left at this time, or Manfred sent her to the party, she would felt uneasy!

She didn't want to be an unkind person!

"Fool." Manfred whispered to her and showed her a faint smile, “Don't you like him? I am helping you."

"No!" Charlotte shook her head. Manfred’s smile was bitter and self-mockery, which made her nose sour. When shaking her head, her tears came down. She said, "I don't need you to do this. You just need to lie in the hospital and recuperate."

"I'm all right, they're bruises needed only to be bandaged. Let's go, or we will be late."

“No, no!" Charlotte bit her lower lips and burst into tears, “I don't need that, understand? Even if I want to go, I will go by myself. I will never let you send me there! I don't want to get you into trouble again..."

Charlotte broke down in tears.

She had always suspected Manfred had an evil purpose, but now...She realized that she was the one who was hateful. He had been so good to her, but she had been suspicious of him and thought he was bad.

Now...He was so hurt but he insisted on taking her to the party.

The nurse was moved and shed tears seeing that. She thought they were couple, but they were not.

The man was obviously trying to help the woman get together with another man.

How much courage would it take to give the woman he loved to other men?

"Don't cry." Her sobs made Manfred involuntarily frown. He considered this point to her, but she refused his offer.

"If you go on crying, time will be gone. Come on, I'll take you there, and then I'll come back to the hospital. OK?"

Charlotte shook her head, but the next second Manfred unexpectedly held her wrist, pulled her out. Charlotte turned pale on face, “Manfred, I don't want to be there. Let me go, I can go on my own, let me go!"

The nurse could not help crying out loud --

Although Manfred was injured, as a man, his strength was big. Charlotte could not do anything. Because he was injured, she did not dare to move and could only be pulled forward.

Although he looked fine, but Charlotte could clearly feel his pace was not as steady as before. He must have got more serious injury than she thought, and what the nurse told her made her believe that Manfred was just pretending to be strong.

How was he going to hold up if she didn't stop him? Even if he did, it was only his will, his body simply could not stand it.

"Manfred, stop, I want to talk to you, Manfred!!"

Charlotte finally called his name angrily!

Manfred had breath instability, but he stopped, looked back sadly at Charlotte.

Charlotte was panting with tears in her eyes. "Listen to me," she said. "I know it is for my own good. I can take a taxi, you go back to ward, or I'm not going, okay?"

At this point, Charlotte smiled and said to Manfred, “It doesn't matter I don’t be there. He and I are husband and wife. I'll explain it to him. I won't go. I'll accompany you back to your ward."

She wanted to pull Manfred back, but Manfred stood in situ motionless.

At last Charlotte could not help crying out.

"Manfred, I don't need you to do so much for me...Would you please stop doing that? Come back with me and lie back in bed. If you fall down again, I'll live unease for the rest of my life."

Manfred deeply stared at her and then showed a bitter smile, “I just wanted you to be happy and content."

"Let’s go, before the party is over, let me send you to him."

"......"

"Come on, there's no time to delay any longer. If I waste my time here with you, you will not see Kennedy."

Charlotte stood still. She really couldn't do anything so cruel.

"Charlotte, I do it voluntarily. I cannot give you happiness, can’t I do something for you? And the only thing I can do for you right now is to bring you back to him with my own hands, instead of... letting you accompany me here. If you don't leave, I'm afraid I can get recovered." With that, Manfred forcefully coughed. He seemed not to stand unstable.

Charlotte was scared and then nodded to him, “Ok."

"Finally. Let's go, now."

Charlotte would rather go with him than talk to him in the cold wind.

"Let's take a taxi. You're not in a good state to drive, and your car is at the police station."

Manfred smiled, "Ok."

They stopped a taxi on the side of the road. When Manfred bent down into the car, he seemed to have a twist. The pain made him got cold sweat. Charlotte became frightened and her face turned pale, “Are you ok..."

"Yes." Manfred endured the pain and sat in the car. Charlotte had to follow in.

"Are you sure you're all right?"

Manfred forced a smile, “I said I would send you to him and I will do it. Driver, to this address."

After Manfred told the driver the address, he said, “A car accident happened on that bridge, so make a detour. Drive as fast as possible, but be safe."

"Ok ~"

The driver nodded, stepped on the accelerator and the car sped away.

Sitting in the car, Charlotte was still nervous and bit her lower lip.

Manfred hurt badly but he still accompanied her to the party. She had been so late, would Kennedy wait for her?
