Zachary took the bouquet Serenity handed to him with one hand and used the other hand to pinch her face.

“So you’re aware you made me angry.”

Serenity laughed sheepishly. “I do have self-awareness.”

She turned to the bodyguards and said, “I’m fine now. You can go back to your stations.”

The four bodyguards looked at Zachary.

Serenity was worried that Zachary would punish them and speak up for them. “This incident was too sudden, and Camryn was smiling when she was talking with those men. It gave off the illusion that they knew each other. No one expected the sudden turn of events.

“This didn’t happen due to their negligence. Don’t blame them, babe.”

Zachary said in a low voice, “The missus told you to return to your posts.”

“Thank you, missus.”

The four bodyguards thanked Serenity gratefully.

Serenity said to Camryn’s two bodyguards, “Go back to Camryn’s side. I’ll tell Callum what happened in detail. I promise he won’t make you take responsibility.”

The two bodyguards thanked Serenity again.

They were worried about being punished.

As she said, they saw the man who got out of the car and talked to Camryn. When they saw Camryn talking to the man while smiling, they thought she knew him and did not move forward. Unexpectedly, the situation changed suddenly.

Fortunately, Serenity arrived. Fortunately, she knew kickboxing.

Zachary was not in the mood to work either. When the bodyguard drove the car out, the couple got in, and Serenity said, “Let’s go to the Newman residence to see Camryn first.”

She should have woken up by now.

The driver drove to the Newman residence.

Camryn awoke in the car.

As soon as did, she quickly realized that she was in a car that had a familiar smell.

“Serenity,” she called out tentatively.

She sat in Serenity’s car several times, and only her car had this smell. It was not a strong smell, but Camryn had an exceptionally keen nose, so she was able to catch the scent. She grew familiar with the scent after smelling it a few times.

Callum slowly pulled up to the roadside and parked the car.

“Serenity, is it you?” Camryn asked again when she did not get an answer.

She was sure that this scent was Serenity’s car.

“It’s me.”

Callum turned to look at her and say in a low voice, “I borrowed Serenity’s car to send you home.”

When Camryn heard Callum’s voice, she was stunned at first, then immediately unlocked the door and got out of the car.

Callum hurriedly got out of the car as well and asked, “Why are you getting out? Does your neck hurt?”

She was knocked unconscious, so her neck must have hurt after waking up.
