Chapter Seventy One

His face contorts in anger, and he angrily moves towards Zohan when a hand stops him.

"Sir please, I know you don't like his presence and believe me when I say even I don't like it but Mushk and Zohan, both of them need this. I will be taking back Zohan to London, just let us meet Mushk once." Mr Quadri pleads, making Hussain nod and he leads them towards the living room.

"Who is it dad?" Irtaza looks up when he hears multiple footsteps.

His smile vanishes and anger replaces it, Mushk, who was seated on sofa, looks at his clenched fist and then his face which was turning red with anger.

Hurriedly standing up she holds his clenched fist in hers, worried. Irtaza looks down when he feels soft hands holding him. His eyes soften seeing Mushk’s worried one.

All this didn't go unnoticed by Zohan, his eyes were filled with pain, agony, longing but regret overpowered all of them.

"She was never so happy and carefree with me." He whispers in his heart, looking over the perfect pair created by god.

Irtaza jerks his chin towards Zohan, making Mushk follow his vision. She loudly gasps, taking a step back when a hand grips hers tightly and jerks her forward.

She looks up towards Irtaza, eyes full with tears and complaints. He moves behind Mushk and holds her waist.

"Face him love! I'm always behind you." Irtaza whispers in ears and kisses the back of her head.

"What are you doing here Zohan?" Irtaza's loud voice booms in the hall.

Zohan takes a step towards them and opens his mouth to say something when a punch lands on his jaw making him stumble back.

"How dare you? How fucking dare you come back and show me your face after what you've done to my sister?" Mustafa was now standing in front of Zohan, who was hunching in pain.

Taking a hold of his collar, Mustafa jerks him back and looks into his eyes. Zohan's eyes held regret ,while his held anger, immense anger and betrayal. Mustafa never in his life expected his best friend to betray him like this.

"My sister is not stupid or illiterate to punish you for your father’s mistake, now get lost before I kill you." Mustafa angrily yells at him and turns to looks at his sister ,who was tightly secured in Irtaza's arms.

He smirks and turns towards Zohan.

"You see him? The one who is standing behind my sister? " Mustafa tauntingly asks him, pointing at Irtaza.

“He is a real man! And you...huh!" Mustafa was intervened by Zohan’s yelling.

"Stop it okay? I know what I did was worse. It was inhumane ,but it was a misunderstanding from my side. I know it's all my mistake and to clear you, I'm not a bastard child, I'm the son of my dad's first wife. My so called mom planned all this to take revenge from me, and I was a fool to come in her talks." Zohan breaks down in front of them and sits on his knees.
