“Really?” Christopher narrowed his eyes and scrutinized Yulissa. “You’re too optimistic, Ms. White. You’re in a lot of trouble now, but you’re still thinking about those love affairs. I really think we should talk about this video instead.”
As he spoke, he pushed the phone to Yulissa.
The smile on Yulissa’s face gradually faded. “It seems you’ve rejected my suggestion.”
She then looked at Christopher’s phone screen before quickly retracting her gaze. “I’m the one who took the video. I don’t think there’s a need to watch it again. I know every detail about it. Just ask whatever you want.”
“Okay.” Christopher went straight to the point. “How much do you know about the faked death case of your grandfather, Professor Riley White? If we want to file for Professor White’s case and begin a search and rescue operation for him, we must first collect relevant evidence to overturn the decision of Professor White’s accidental death five years ago. Christopher and Yulissa chatted for more than two hours. He obtained a lot of useful information from her, which gave him a major breakthrough in his investigation.

“Yes, you’re right. I understand.” Yulissa smiled forcibly in response to Christopher’s rejection and condemnation.
However, in truth, she did not agree with him.
What is morality? Morality is nothing. It’s just to restrict kind people from doing things as they wish. I don’t care about morality. We only live once. I will do anything to get what I want. If I can’t get it, I’ll destroy it!
Meanwhile, at Aqua Moana, Winnie received a call from Christopher as soon as she turned off her computer.
“What’s the matter, Captain Bennett? Today? Sure, no problem. Okay, just tell me where to meet. You’re nearby? Okay, I’ll go down in a bit.”
After hanging up the phone, Winnie prepared to go out.
Jacinta heard the noises and hurriedly came out of the kitchen. “Winnie, are you going out? When will you be back? Are we still going to the Garland residence tonight?”
“I’ll be back in a while. I’m just going to meet a police officer. He’s nearby, so it shouldn’t take long.”
“Which police officer? Is it Officer Copper who arrested Kylie last time?” The elderly always liked to know everything in detail.
“It’s not Officer Copper. Granny, you should go take care of your soup. I think I heard the soup boiling.”
“Oh no! My soup!” Jacinta quickly ran into the kitchen.
Winnie looked at her grandmother’s back and smiled. “I’ll be back to drink the soup later!”
After walking out of Aqua Moana, Winnie pondered for a moment and took out her phone.
She sent another text message to Xavier: Where are you right now?
Xavier did not reply to her message. Instead, he called her directly.
“Winnie, where are you?” Xavier asked, sensing that something was not right.
Winnie had asked about his whereabouts three times in a single day. This was not something she would do normally.
“Are you at Aqua Moana?” questioned Xavier.
Winnie noticed a hint of nervousness in his voice. As she wanted to test him, she did not tell the truth.
“Nope. I’m at the Garland residence. I’m being closely monitored. Hamish locked me in the house since he’s afraid that I would go out and make trouble for your family. What’s the matter? Why did you ask so?”
Knowing that Winnie was not at Aqua Moana, Xavier heaved a sigh of relief. “I thought you came over to find me.”
“Why? Is there a problem if I do that? Are you in love with someone else already?” asked Winnie, smiling.
“Of course not! I’m just not home now. Nobody will welcome you in if you went there.”
“Oh, I see. Then where are you now? I thought you didn’t want to make an appearance?”
Winnie quietly waited for the lies Xavier would come up with.
“I’m out to settle an important matter.”
“Where is it? Can you share your location with me? I’m so bored at home. Can I go to where you are?”
Xavier was silent for a while, causing the woman to smile.
“What? I can’t?”
“Of course you can. I just can’t help but feel that you’re checking on me. It’s as if you care about me more and more now.” Xavier chuckled.
“Maybe,” replied the woman faintly. “I’ll hang up now. Don’t forget to send me your location.”
“Okay.”
Honestly, such a thing was totally not something that Xavier would do. However, if Winnie requested for it, he was willing to do it to give her a sense of security.
Soon, Winnie received the location shared by Xavier.
She glanced at the address. Oh, good. It seems he has been there all night.
If she did not pressure him to share his location with her, he would probably still be lying.
Just when she was about to share her location—which was at Aqua Moana—with Xavier to surprise him, she suddenly heard Christopher calling her.
