Before he could pepper her with kisses, she took the initiative to lift her head and kiss him.
She kissed him until he was drunk of it and listen to her well.
Then, she said, “Listen to me, dear. You should go shower first.”
“Okay, wait for me.” Xavier wiped the saliva on the corner of Winnie’s mouth and smiled devilishly.
Winnie narrowed her eyes but kept the smile, although not genuine, on her face. She then opened the contact list on her phone to look for Josiah’s number while saying, “Mhmm okay!”
Once Xavier entered the bathroom, Winnie took her clothes and left the bedroom.
She dialed Josiah’s phone in another guestroom. “He might have another symptom—hyper-excitation. He wouldn’t get tired at all and did not sleep the whole night. When I woke up in the morning, he was still very active.”
Josiah replied, “Strictly speaking, I’m not very surprised about what you just said since sedatives and anesthetics didn’t work on him either.”
“Yes, but him not sleeping doesn’t mean he doesn’t need it. If he keeps this up, he might collapse. In modern medicine, the only method they have is probably to increase the dosage of sedatives and anesthetics. However, there are side effects to this, and it’s not an effective treatment. His family background, appearance, and social standing were all extraordinary, but he just had to fall for a mentally impaired woman. You’re weird too. When he was sane, you didn’t like him that much, even if you were his legal wife, or if his feelings for you were unwavering. Now that he lost his mind, you choose to be with him. Judge for yourself. Are you not a weird couple? At the very least, I have never heard of such a thing before.”
“You said it yourself. One will see the sincerity in the face of adversity,” she retorted.

Half an hour later, Louis and Josiah arrived at Lagune Mansion at the same time.
When Xavier saw his assistant, the first thing he ordered was to remove the charity gala that was in two days from his schedule.

Josiah nodded in agreement. Then, he took out a small box from his pocket and passed it to Winnie. “This is the sample of the venom you asked for.”
Opening the box, Winnie checked on it. After verifying that there was no problem with it, she kept it away.
“I will board the plane in four hours. Since Xavier is discussing important matters, I won’t disturb him and will leave directly. Inform him in my stead later.”
After leaving Lagune Mansion, Winnie went back to Aqua Moana because Jacinta was still living there.
Winnie did not tell Jacinta about all that happened previously. Hence, Jacinta did not know that Winnie was with Xavier the night before.
When she heard that Winnie would depart to Yartran so suddenly, Jacinta was not surprised.
This was because Winnie had spent most of her time in Yartran in all those years before.
After bidding goodbye to Jacinta, Winnie immediately rushed to the airport.
However, just as she was ready to board the plane, a few security guards rushed out and stopped her.
Following them were two police officers in their uniforms who came up and apprehended her. They barred her from leaving the country. Seeing that, the crowd around them kept taking photos of her.
Everything happened without any warning as if someone planned it beforehand.
