Sinful Mates 1-3 novel Chapter 141

  Evelyn’s Pov

I didn’t know what to do, Thaddeus was throwing them around like rag dolls. Ryland was drenched in his own blood; Orion was fairing a little better but not much when suddenly Ryland is knocked unconscious.

Orion eyes snapping to me before he starts running toward me in panic. If Orion goes out, I am next and there is nothing I can do. I can’t even run. I knew I was good as dead. Orion is ripped back by Thaddeus. Orion turning around and punching him, knocking him backwards for a second before he is ripped towards him. Thaddeus sinks his teeth into his neck, and it was the strangest thing I had ever witnessed, almost cannibalistic. He was feeding off his own kind. Orion struggling against him before Thaddeus tosses him like he weighed nothing.

Thaddeus clothes start tearing and his entire body growing bigger, black fur sprouting along his arms and chest, claws slipping from his fingers. The house is suddenly plunged into darkness and I squint into the darkness waiting for my eyes to adjust but seeing nothing.

The hairs on my body standing on end when I hear him growl, my heart pounding so hard I could hear it. My breathing becoming harder as I fought to stay conscious and not faint out of fear.

“Orion” I whisper into the darkness but getting nothing in return only a menacing growl from Thaddeus before feeling his hot breath fan the side of my face and I whip my head to the side, coming face to face with white sharp teeth and I scream running for the stairs and only making it up one or two a before I am yanked backwards.

Thaddeus claws ripping the back of my shirt and I drop my weight slipping through his hands before crawling up the stairs as fast as I could only to get halfway when I feel his breath on my neck, and I flip onto my back, crawling backwards. All I could see was sharp teeth and his reflecting eyes hovering above me as he stalked me. Crawling backwards up the stairs using my hands. Every step he followed his arms on either side of mine before they go above my shoulders stopping me from going any higher up the stairs as I feel fur touch them, I freeze flattening myself beneath him, the stairs digging into my back painfully. His face drops into my neck and he inhales, and I will myself not to be afraid, but it was impossible when I literally had a furry monster about to rip me to shreds.

“Thaddeus, you don’t want to hurt me” I whisper, and he growls against my throat. My entire body shaking in fear. When I hear Ryland voice softly speaking.

“Evelyn don’t move” he says, and I hear the bottom step creak. Thaddeus head whipping towards the noise, a growl escaping him, and I hear the movement stop. Thaddeus turning back to me, and I feel his tongue run across my neck before I feel him sniff where my mark is. He then licks it and I curse myself inwardly when I moan at the sensation. Thaddeus seemed startled by my reaction and I see his eyes flicker for a second going green so quickly I thought I imagined it. His nose going to the crook of my neck, and I move my hand, he growls when I place it on the side of his face before he suddenly purrs deep in the back of his throat.

His stubble prickling my skin, I feel his tongue on my neck again before he bites me making me whimper. He pulls his head back, my hand still on the side of his face and shakes his head. I could feel my hand shaking in fear worried he would bite it off. His eyes flickering again, and I know he is still in there, there is some piece of him holding on, refusing to give in, though I felt nothing of him through the bond which I thought odd.

Taking a chance which would either kill me or save me. I grab his face catching him off guard and smashing my lips against his. His teeth going through my bottom lip, but I ignore the pain and blood running down my face, shoving my tongue in his mouth. He growls before his claws dig into my side above my hip.

I thought I was done for when I suddenly feel him kiss me back, his claws retracting along with his fangs. His tongue plunging into my mouth hungrily, and I feel his hand go to the back of my neck pulling me closer. I feel his body shudder and the fur covering his arms and chest disappears.

The lights flickering before turning on, hurting my eyes as they open. Before I feel him take a shaky breath. Thaddeus suddenly going to tears as he pulls away, but I pull him against me holding him there. He grips me like I am his lifeline, pressing against me and I don’t know what to do other than hold him and hope he doesn’t turn homicidal again. Ryland walks up the stairs slowly, his eyes making contact with mine, I see relief flood him when he sees I am okay underneath him. Both mine and Ryland’s heads turn when we hear Orion groan on the floor below us.

I can feel blood dribbling down my chin and spilling onto my neck from my lip. Thaddeus finally stops crying and my shirt, well what’s left of it, is wet with his tears. Thaddeus suddenly gets up.

Looking down at me and clutching my face with both hands. “I love you,” he says before getting up and walking upstairs.

I hop up off the stairs and I find Orion sitting on the floor, Ryland by his side rubbing his back. Walking down the stairs I rush over to them. Ryland’s head wounds had healed but he was still covered in blood.

Orion clothes were torn to shreds. Ryland pulls me toward him, hugging me and I wrap my arms around his waist when I hear movement on the floor above us. The entire railing on the stairs was smashed above our heads from where I fell. My stomach turning when I see Thaddeus walk down the stairs with a bag, he drops it at the foot of the stairs before walking into the kitchen. Ryland and Orion looking at each and they looked as confused as I felt.

He returns with his car keys.

“Where are you going?” I ask and he eyes snap to me. The anguish behind them nearly knocking me over and I step back, as he walks toward me. Orion and Ryland jumping to their feet.

“I’m not going anywhere, you are.” I felt my stomach drop, what did he mean?

“Thaddeus, what are you doing?” Ryland says grabbing his arm and I could see the fear in Ryland’s eyes, feel it hit me through the bond.

“What’s right, we never should have let her get involved with us,” he answers, shaking off his arm. Thaddeus reaches for me before grabbing my face and I feel the fog rush over me.

“No,” I gasp, but he doesn’t listen.

“You are going to take my keys and the bag and leave, go live your life away from me. You are free to go where you want, just don’t come back here,” he says and his words suddenly sound very reasonable but why did they hurt so bad? He lets go of my face and I stumble back, tears filling my eyes. He was letting me go, but why does it feel so hollow inside me, why does it feel so wrong.

“You can’t decide that for all of us, Thaddeus. I won’t, I can’t be without her,” Ryland growls grabbing my arm and stopping me from leaving.

“She is right, I only hurt her, all of you. You’re free to go with her,” he says before turning on his heel and walking up the stairs.

I felt destroyed, they looked torn on what to do. My choice was taken, and the longer Ryland gripped my arm the worse the nausea got from not leaving the house and following his order.

Gritting my teeth through the nausea rolling over me. When I was suddenly pulled toward the door Ryland bends down grabbing the bag.

“What’s going on?” I ask, confused. Ryland walks me outside and the nausea instantly stops. Orion stepping out behind us. Ryland walks to the garage opening it before getting in the car and reversing it out. Cold arms wrap around my own and Orion turns me around before kissing me. His tongue tracing my bottom lip and my lips part, his tongue playing with mine and I feel him pull me closer. He pulls back before gripping my face.

“I love you, Evelyn. I will see you soon” he says before kissing my forehead.

“You’re not coming?” I ask, tears filling my eyes. He shakes his head.

“No, I will talk some sense into him.” I look toward the upstairs window and see Thaddeus standing at the window watching us. It hurt when he turned around and walked out of view. Ryland places his hand on my lower back making me look up at him.

“Come we need to go before you end up in pain,” he says kissing the side of my face.

“You’re coming with me?” He nods before he looks at Orion. Orion grips the back of his neck tugging him to him before kissing him, they look reluctant to pull apart, but Ryland grabs my hand before walking me to the car. I sit in the seat, my stomach churning at leaving them. Ryland leans over me plugging my seat belt in.

“You will see them again, I promise,” he says, kissing my head before walking around to the other side. Ryland starts the car before turning it around and driving down the driveway. The house disappearing behind us.

‘Where are we going?” I ask.
