　　Thaddeus starts picking up bodies making me look at him as he shakes them.

　　"What are you doing?" I ask him.

　　"We already have four in the bed, do you feel like adding a fifth?" He asks, looking at me.

　　He picks up a man in his early thirties, he was human but Thaddeus was right we didn't need anymore mates and her leaving him alive would mean being tethered to him and he would come searching for that connection.

　　The man groans, still alive. His eyes dazedly looking up at Thaddeus.

　　"You want him?" Thaddeus asks me.

　　"Of course not" I told him, though I felt bad we had to kill him.

　　"Ready?" He asked me.

　　"Just do it" I tell him, looking away before I hear his neck snap.

　　A painful shiver rushing over my body from the bond breaking, thank God she only just marked him and hadn't marked her or us it would have been crippling otherwise.

　　"I swear to god if he wakes up I will beat her ass" Thaddeus says, I look over at him where he was still holding the man but this time by his shoulders his head hanging oddly to the side.

　　We waited a few minutes to see if he had any vampire blood in his system. When he doesn't wake, Thaddeus drops him letting out a relieved sigh.

　　"Suppose I should tell Dad he is going to need to get a clean up crew in here" he says, reaching for Evie who was passed out in my arms.

　　"I will take her, '' I tell him and he nods before holding the door open for me. We walk out of the now abandoned nightclub only to hear sirens blaring outside.

　　"Fuck me!" Thaddeus growls walking out of the front. I remain inside listening, praying they don't start shooting because hell will break loose if they do.

　　"Two options, 1 you let me walk out of here no harm done and I go home. Option 2 I still go home, only you all do in body bags, so which is it?" Thaddeus asks.

　　We get silence, there is no doubt in my mind that they know who he is, for decades his picture has flashed on the news for the carnage he has caused.

　　"Tonight would be nice guys, choose, I am tired and very irritated?" Thaddeus tells them. I hear murmurs of them talking and can smell their fear even inside, hear their hearts pounding in their chests.

　　"Since you are all either stupid, or mute I am going to assume I'm allowed to leave? One shot gets fired at my mates when they step out and I will feed your bullets back to you, deal?

　　I hear a car screeching down the street before stopping. I recognise the voices of Theo and Tobias as they jump from the car. Stepping outside I watch as they run between Thaddeus and the squads of cop cars and officers surrounding the entire place.

　　"Settle down, this is our establishment just a...domestic dispute nothing to see here" Tobias tells the officer closest to him.

　　"You know this man Mr Kane" The officer asks Tobias.

　　"Yes he is our Son" Theo says, stepping forward and offering his hand to the officer.

　　"Your son is the dark king?" And I hear all the officers gasp. It was no secret that the dark ones resided here, we have co-existed working here with them for a year now, never any trouble since Mara was born. But it wasn't public knowledge that the two men that own half the City were his fathers.

　　"Yes he is our son, so do you have a problem with that?" Theo asks him.

　　"No Mr Madden, sorry for disturbing your night" the officer says looking at Thaddeus. Thaddeus shrugs motioning for me. The cops all put their guns away and hopped back in their cars and drove off. Tobias sighs, turning to look at Thaddeus before spotting Evie drenched in blood.

　　"What the fuck happened?"

　　"She got wasted, won't know till she wakes up" Thaddeus answers his father.

　　"I don't think she is wasted, I think she has been drugged, I can smell it on her" Theo says walking over and sniffing my mate in my arms. I sniff her too, and can just pick up the lingering scent of something.

　　"Laura?" I ask Thaddeus.

　　"Possibly, I want to get her home first" I nod.

　　"How many?" Tobias asks, pinching the bridge of his nose.

　　"Well I killed your crappy bouncer, bastard wouldn't be able to knock scab off, so did you a favour there. And another 5 in the bathroom that was her though" Thaddeus tells him.

　　Tobias looks at him.

　　"What, that's it no more?"

　　"Yes dad that's it, I am not a monster,"

　　"Well depends who you ask" I tell him and Thaddeus chuckles, shaking his head.

　　"Get her home I will clean this up, anything else?" Theo asks.

　　"Yeah, you may need to renovate" Thaddeus tells him before walking toward his mustang and opening the door for me.

　　"I will drive, you take her" I tell him knowing he was itchy to get his hands on her. I pass Evie to him and he climbs in the car before handing me his keys. I walk around getting in the driver's seat before starting his car.

　　We drove in silence for a bit, both completely numb to everything that happened.

　　"I can't believe she marked him, out of everything that is what irks me" he says disturbing the quiet.

　　"What are you going to do when she wakes up,"

　　"Not sure, you?"

　　"I don't know, I don't know what to do" I tell him. I wanted to kill her before but Ryland was right this isn't our Evie.

　　"Let's just get home and deal with her later" he says and I nod. We drove home, pulling up out the front I hop out, opening the door for Thaddeus. Ryland was waiting on the steps looking relieved when we pulled up but I could see he was also uneasy about something.

　　"How is she?" He asks.

　　"She is okay, but killed some people" Thaddeus answers, Ryland took her from him.

　　"You didn't hurt her?" He asked looking at us both and I knew it was because he could feel our anger and disgust.

　　"No of course not" I tell him and he nods.

　　"She needs a shower, can you wake her" he asks Thaddeus.

　　Thaddeus shakes his head. "No, we will shower her first before I wake her, she freaked out once she realised what she had done"

　　"Come on, I will grab some towels" I tell him as I walk into the house.
