　　We got stuck talking to the authorities for hours, they even accused Thaddeus of destroying the place before his father quickly intervened before he went on a rampage and killed the officer.

　　Everything was in chaos and it was like we couldn't catch a break. Mara however was her usual peachy self, demanding cookies and everyone’s attention while we waited, it was like she didn't realise the Magnitude of what she did, especially given her age.

　　Seeing Imogen get out of her car, I was about to walk over to her when Thaddeus beat me to it.

　　"Where are you hiding Bianca?" Thaddeus demanded.

　　"No Thaddeus she is too fragile for you to be meddling in her head" Imogen tells him yet I also agreed with him, this had been going on for far too long and she may have the answers we need to locate him and stop it once and for all.

　　"Fuck her being fragile I need answers, my daughter could have died, your fucking granddaughter could have died. We have lost enough and I won't lose anymore of my family" Thaddeus snaps at her before grabbing her. Theo rushes over in an instant.

　　"Thaddeus that's enough!" I tell him as I feel the darkness creeping in, something I haven't felt in ages.

　　Theo grabs his arm trying to make him let go only for Thaddeus to turn on him, his hands hitting him in the chest sending his father flying across the road and into a shop window. The glass shatters and Imogen shrieks rushing toward him only to be jerked back by her hair.

　　"Tell me where she is" he booms so loudly that the street lights burst, the windows shaking as a shock wave erupted from him. Car alarms start blaring loudly and all the police present withdraw their guns aiming them directly at him. Orion zips past me, ripping Mara from my arms and removing her. While I stood shocked by the events.

　　Thaddeus was on the verge of exploding and explode he did, When the first shot was fired, hitting him in the chest all hell broke loose.

　　Electricity zapping from his fingertips and clouds rolled across the sky, turning the day to night. He lifts his hands and I gasp before being tackled by Ryland knocking me to Thaddeus feet when I feel the ground lift in a wave of destruction.

　　Fury so extreme not even a hurricane could cause the devastation left behind and he still wasn't done. I couldn't hear a thing over the wind as it whipped around us, my thoughts going to Mara wondering if Orion got her out in time when I see light and extreme heat surrounding us and I realise he was burning the entire street down. The wind moved the fire in a wall as it consumed everything in its path.

　　"Stay down" I hear Ryland say as I try to get up.

　　"Mara?"

　　"Safe with Orion '' he answers when suddenly I hear Thaddeus grunt above me. The firewall dropping though the storm raged above furiously.

　　"That's enough, you have proven your point brother" I hear Amara tell him. Ryland pulled me up with him and the entire street was destroyed, cars thrown into building roofs, buildings destroyed, bodies strewn everywhere.

　　"No, I don’t think I have, they still don’t understand how sick of this shit I am and I'm only just getting started" he snaps back at her, before flicking his fingers in her direction, the blast hits Amara sending her flying into an upside down car. She shakes herself off, getting to her feet.

　　Ryland grabs me, jerking me off the road and off to the side of the street. While I watch in horror as Amara cracks her neck, before shaking her hands like she was about to step into a fight by her next words I knew she was.

　　"Like old times brother, you destroy and I clean up the mess" she says before lifting her hands, her eyes glowing gold as air starts rushing toward her and Thaddeus gasps.

　　"What's going on?" I panic not wanting Amara to get hurt.

　　"She is pulling on his magic," Ryland says, jerking me behind him.

　　"Oh I am going to enjoying kicking your ass with your own magic," she says before rolling her hands into a ball, black magic rolling and surging between her fingertips before she tosses it at him sending him flying backwards, he growls before hitting her again and they seemed to just go blow for blow when Thaddeus roars enraged.

　　Thaddeus gets up from where she flung him, throwing his hands forward in her direction, black tendrils slipping from his fingertips before going straight at her, she stood no chance of ducking out the way when she is suddenly gone. Emmet gets smashed with his magic and a shocked look crosses his features, black tendrils writhing beneath his skin turning it dark as charcoal. Amara's deafening scream resonates louder than the storm as he drops to his knees but the sound of her scream seems to snap Thaddeus back to his senses and he gasps catching his breath. His chest heaving heavily as he catches his breath.

　　"Emmet!" She screams rushing toward him and clutching his lifeless body as he collapses.

　　"No" Thaddeus gasps when he sees he just killed her mate. My hands went to my mouth in shock as Amara wailed in her grief clutching him to her.

　　“No, no!” Amara screams and I see Theo stagger towards her, his hands reaching for her when she growls. Thaddeus petrified at what he did. No pain can measure to losing a mate, losing a piece of your soul.

　　Amara throws her arm to the side sending her father flying backwards, poor Theo being smashed by his own kids when Amara eyes blaze red, she raises her hand pointing it at Thaddeus before fisting her hand. Thaddeus jerks towards her before she slams her hand on the ground, Thaddeus hitting the asphalt with a thud.

　　“I won’t lose him” She says before her hand smacks down on his chest, I watch as the darkness is sucked out of him and into her, her fingertips glowing red and she screams, her skin tearing on her arms and face as the darkness starts ripping her apart and cutting through her skin as it engulfs her.

　　“Amara no, it will kill you” Thaddeus screams, clutching her hand on his chest and trying to rip it away. She screams, sounding pained before her hand on Emmet glows and she mutters something I can’t understand and seems foreign. Gold hue wraps around him before it blasts him. Emmet gasps, his skin returning to his light tan and he jolts upright in a sitting position. Amara collapses and Theo screams, Imogen also running towards her daughter as she collapses, her nose, eyes and ears bleeding when I hear her heart stop after a loud thud, then nothing but silence.

　　“Amara?” Emmet murmurs before his head whips to Thaddeus. He growls before lunging at him, shifting into his wolf.
