Speed Candles novel Chapter 40

They had finished. Emily almost fell into prostration.

It was obvious that Sebastian hadn’t felt satisfied at all. He held her in his arms tightly.

Emily struggled to turn over and questioned him, “Have you eaten something strange?”

Apart from this, she couldn’t figure out why he was like this today. No matter how fierce he was before, he hadn’t made her even as exhausted.

Sebastian did not care about how she felt. Emily had no choice but to continue.

In the end, she nearly lost consciousness.

Emily was so tired after the whole night, and then she fell asleep unconsciously.

In a daze, she felt someone was approaching her. Emily tried her best to open her eyes, but she was too sleepy, “I can’t have sex with you now. I am very sleepy.”

Sebastian saw her mouth moving, but couldn’t hear what she had said clearly. He said in a low voice, “Do not sleep. I can’t feel anything if you fall asleep.”

In his impression, she had always been fierce-looking.

Since their love affair two years ago, and later she ran to his company and deceive everyone that she was pregnant with his child, she had always been swollen with inordinate arrogance, which was still fresh in his memory. She couldn’t have been so compliant.

“I’m really tired today. Let’s do it a few days later, okay?” Emily muttered in her half dream and half wake.

She really wanted to scold him, because she was so angry at him, but she was really sleepy at that moment.

But Sebastian still didn’t stop. Finally, Emily turned her head in anger and bit on his shoulder.

“I really like your fierce-looking.”

But he said to her as if nothing were wrong.

He even endured the pain to tease her. Emily really tried her best to bite him hard.

It seemed that his skin was broken, because she could taste the blood in her mouth. Therefore, she hurriedly loosened her mouth.

Sebastian held her in his arms, lit a cigarette, and said to her, “I thought you were very fierce before, but now I know you are just a paper tiger.”

Emily was lying there, tired both physically and mentally, and kept up her spirit to say, “No matter how expensive a cigarette is, it needs a lighter to burn. Even for you, I am not worth anything. But I was just like the lighter to you.”

After staying with him for a long time, Emily always said something with a sense of sarcasm or irony either by design or accident.

Sebastian knew she would say something out of his expectation, but didn’t expect her to say so. He showed an evil smile, and then touched her almost perfect face as if wanting to have compassion for or reprimand her, “If you are capable enough, don’t try to beg for mercy. If you have done that, don’t try to pretend how innocent you are. Wouldn’t you feel disgusting?”

Emily stiffly pulled the corners of her mouth. She originally wanted to laugh, but Sebastian fiercely reached out his hand and squeezed her face, forcing her to look fierce.

“You should be like this. When you laugh, I would think you are planning something bad in your mind.”

She broke away from his hand and asked, “I didn’t expect the president of Seaview Properties would make a tattoo for a woman.”

Emily accidentally touched his tattoo on the back waist, which was one word. When she wanted to figure out that word, Sebastian pushed away her hand.

He said impatiently, “What do you want to know?”

“I noticed that the male protagonist in a movie likes to tattoo his beloved woman’s name on his body in pursuit of romance, which I thought was very normal. I just think Mr. Clark must love that woman very much because you have a tattoo too.”

After saying that, she added. “I just want to know who that woman is.”

Sebastian glanced at her and said to her in a tough tone, “Emily, do you think I don’t know that you are provoking me?”

She didn’t want to get more serious with him, so she changed the topic and said, “I have asked you before, and you acquiesced that you didn’t have a girlfriend at that time. So, I couldn’t be a mistress.”

The corners of Sebastian’s mouth subconsciously twitched, but he hid that too quickly, so that Emily did not notice something unusual.

He put on a cold face, stared at her for more than three seconds before he said calmly, “Sooner or later, we have to divorce. Do not take it too seriously.”

After that, he simply put on a pair of pants and entered the bathroom. Emily only then saw the word on his body was “Mia”.

Less than four or five minutes after Sebastian went in, his mobile phone in the living room rang. She picked up a piece of clothes from the ground and put it on.

She took the phone, and found this call was from S City.

Emily did not care to pry into his privacy, so she just put down the phone. But the people on the other side hung up the phone and sent a very short message, which was brief and concise, but made her lost in wild thoughts.

“We must get the L District. Mr. Williams wants to meet you.”

The land of the L District was very attractive for business people. They all wanted to take it for themselves.

It was quite normal that Sebastian would make private connections with them. She just put the phone down and didn’t think about it too much.

Before she could put down the phone, it rang again. The number for this time was local and she felt quite familiar.

It seemed that it was the call from Louisa.

Emily turned to take a look at the bathroom. She could vaguely see the man’s tall and strong body standing under the shower.

She picked it up and answered, “Hello!”

The other side hesitated and asked in an urgent tone, “Who are you?”

Emily laughed out. She didn’t recognize her voice. Lousia was heartbroken hearing her voice. She tried so hard to get Sebastian’s phone number and wanted to meet him. She didn’t expect to be like this.

“What’s wrong?”

“Emily, you are despicable.” Lousia held back the tears in her eyes and said in a sad tone. Her helplessness and anger intertwined.

Emily sneered. The expression on her face gradually faded, and she spoke mockingly, “Your mother and me, whom do you think is more despicable?”
