Sweet Twins novel Chapter 75

"Charles!" Nancy screamed in horror. She was shell-shocked and shaken.

She grabbed Nadia's hand and hurried downstairs.

Charles and Flora had just fallen on the ground.

Unfortunately, Flora's head hit a stone by accident.

However, Charles was lucky to get stuck in the mud.

Nancy placed her index finger near Charles' nose and felt his breath. But, Flora had no breath. So, she judged that she was dead.

"Charles?" Since Nancy didn't know which part of Charles' body had been injured, she didn't dare to move him.

"Help! Somebody help!" Nancy cried out for help. "Help!"

"Nancy, is that you?"

As soon as Jay arrived, he heard Nancy's voice.

"Doris, I'm over here. Hurry up!" Nancy was overjoyed as she saw them.

Jay and Doris ran towards her to help.

Nancy immediately asked Jay to take off his suit and put it under Charles' body. Then they carefully lifted him up and carried him to the car.

After laying him down on the rear seat, Nancy called for an ambulance and asked them to come to save Flora.

Even if Flora wouldn't survive, she couldn't just leave her there.

"Take him to the hospital now! Hurry up!" She held Charles to prevent his body from shaking too hard during the transit.

Without any delay, Jay drove to the hospital directly.

Behind them, Doris drove Charles' car with Nadia in it.

"Auntie?" After almost her near death experience, Nadia looked very nervous.

Doris rubbed her little head and asked, "What's wrong, honey? What happened?"

"My mommy said that I am the daughter of Uncle Charles and Aunt Nancy. Is that true? Are they my real Daddy and Mommy?" Although Nadia was almost choked to death just now, she still heard and remembered the conversation between Flora and Charles.

"What are you saying, kid?" Doris still didn't know that Nancy had given birth. She thought this girl might have had a misunderstanding.

"Isn't it true?" Nadia asked in disappointment.

"I... I don't know, honey. Maybe not? I don't know. You should ask about this to Nancy and Charles."

But on second thought, she felt it too ridiculous to believe that Nancy had a baby.

"Okay." Disappointed, Nadia lowered her head and tugged at her clothes.

Her silence made Doris' heart ache.

"It doesn't matter at all. If nobody wants you, you can be with me. I'll take care of you," said Doris.

Nadia shook her little head in grief. Her eyes were filled with tears, but she tried to hold them back. "I want my parents, my real parents."

"Okay, I'll help you out!" Doris said sincerely.

"But I want Uncle Charles and Aunt Nancy to be my parents," Nadia murmured.

"Well, well..." Doris grinned. What else could she have done? Although she hoped that Charles and Nancy could be together, but marriage was an extremely complicated affair.

"Nadia, do you know Bobby?" Doris asked with a bright smile.

"Yes, I know him. We are classmates in kindergarten. He was bad to me. He always bullied me," Nadia said angrily.

"Do you know that he is Charles' son? From now own, you should call Charles as how Bobby would do." Doris paused, and continued, "Girl, let me tell you something. Bobby calls Charles Daddy. But, it's not necessary for me to tell you that. I want to tell you that he calls Nancy Mommy. So you know what you should call them?"

"Yes, I know." Nadia nodded her head in affirmation.

As soon as they arrived at the hospital, Charles was taken to the emergency room by Jay and Nancy.

Almost half an hour later, Charles woke up.

But his X-ray showed that he had multiple fractures in his body.

Ethan performed a surgery lasting more than eight hours on his body.

When the operation was over, Nancy stepped forward and said sincerely, "Thank you so much, Ethan!"

Ethan took off his mask and said with a self-mockery, "Nancy, did you thank me for him?"

"Ethan, don't get me wrong. That's not what I meant. I am responsible for his current situation. He is hurt because of me," Nancy said helplessly.

"I also don't mind to get hurt for you, but you don't want to give me a chance, do you?" Ethan said sadly.

Nancy actually wanted to talk a lot with Ethan, but she didn't know where to begin.

"Don't you want to say something to me?" Ethan asked with a wry smile.

"You are my brother. You will always be my brother!" Nancy said.

"Brother? But, I don't want to be your brother. And you know that quite well, don't you?" Ethan was so angry that he raised his voice.

This made people around to turn and see what was happening.

Seeing this, Nancy turned around, intending to leave.

Perhaps it was because of Ethan's grievance that he pulled Nancy in his arms out of control and pressed her against the cold wall.

"Nancy, I love you, and I know that you know it. Why are you still with Charles? Tell me, you are not a vain girl. You are not!" he shouted, clasped the back of her head and pressed her against him.

"Ethan, be rational. Control yourself. Don't mess around. Don't!" She shook her head trying to avoid him.

"I want you, Nancy! I want you!" Ethan growled in a cascade of voices. "If you can be with Charles, why can't be with me? Nancy, we've been friends since childhood. I've been waiting for you for all these years. So many years! Do you know that?"

"Ethan, are you crazy? Let go of me!" She struggled as hard as she could.

But Ethan just wouldn't let her go.

More and more people came to the corridor intending to see what was happening.

"Let go of me, Ethan! Let go of me!" Nancy tried desperately to get him off. When Doris and Nadia walked out of the elevator, they saw Ethan and Nancy.

"Aunt Nancy... Mommy. What's happening?" Nadia asked curiously.

"Damn it! Ethan! It's in the public. What are you doing?" Doris cursed.

She couldn't understand why Ethan had broken out all of a sudden since he had been waiting for all these years.

"Aunt Doris, are you cursing him?" Nadia didn't like people swearing, because Flora used to do that.

She felt it was too annoying!

But Nadia never dared to respond to Flora in such situations. She just dodged her secretly.

Sometimes, she just tried to move away slowly, and then Flora would catch her and ask, "Nadia, you don't like me, right? Exactly like that fucking Marcus, you don't like me, do you?"

Nadia was scared and uncomfortable with this emotional abuse. She would just shook her head and say in a low voice, "I like Mommy."

Even then, she couldn't escape from Flora's abuses.

Flora would pinch and slap her.

That woman was really crazy!

"It's okay. I'm scolding men, Nadia. Now help your mommy!" Doris said, nudging Nadia to the two people.

In the next moment, Nadia just ran up to them.

She held Ethan's leg and bit it.

"Oh, gosh!" Ethan, feeling the intense pain, lowered his head to see a little girl holding his legs.
