Sweet Wife in Hidden Marriage novel Chapter 49

Li Shan was very angry that Archibald ignored her. Howeverm seen how much he cared about his "girlfriend", Li Shan thought that this man was like no other rich young man, because at least he cared about his beloved woman.

Two burly bodyguards in black were standing in front of the dark red gate. They opened the door as soon as Archibald walked over.

Archibald walked in in steady pace. Kieran followed him and closed the thick wooden door.

This was one of the most common rooms in the hotel. The strange part was that all the curtains had been closed, and there. were only dim light from a lamp in the room.

On the big bed, a woman was lying on her side. Her hands and feet are tied and was gagged by a cloth strip. Her long hair spread on the bed. She looked very depressed.

There were already two bodyguards in this room before Archibald arrived, The tall and strong bodyguard pulled a chair for Archibald, so that he could sit down and looked at the woman on the bed.

Another bodyguard grabbed the woman's hair and pulled her head up. The woman's face hidden behind her long hair was exposed. She was one of the most famous model now, Joanna.

Joanna looked at Archibald who was sitting in the chair. She mumbled, desperately.

Archibald waved his hand and let the bodyguard remove the gag. Joanna coughed and asked coquetishly, "Mr. Hawkins? The richest young man in this city? What a surprise! What make you kidnap me here?"

Archibald supported himself on the sofa with his both hands. His fingers with distinct knuckles crossed leisurely. He looked like a really bad man right now. His wide and charming eyes were squiting and look at Joanna coldly.

"I thought you love to play 'multiplayer games'. You want to dance? Fine, I'll dance with you."

Joanna was startled, she looked at him with vigilance in her eyes, "What do you mean?"

"You're a smart woman. I think you know exactly what I mean."

In the dim light, Archibald looked just as polite and gentle as he was, but his cold face made Joanna's hearthbeat fasten. She felt nervous."

"Archibald, I don't understand why you are doing this. What would people say if they know the richest young man in this city kidnapped an actress?" She tried to talk to him as calmly as she could. It was so hard to tell what was in the man's mind from his looks.

"You're worrying too much. Nobody gets to know this if I don't want them to." His bodyguards were all professions, and they would never let this get out.

Joanna's face changed. She raised her keys and asked, "Archibald, am I in trouble because I've got in your way to something? Why did you bring me here?"

"Seriously? You're asking me?" He asked in a light tone. Then he said, "Let me put it this way... you shouldn't have touched my woman."

Joanna frowned and asked in confusion, "Your woman?" A moment later she finally knew what that meant. She raised her head and asked in fright, "You mean... Lilian?"

Archibald raised one of his eyebrowns. He didn't approve it, nor did he deny it.

Joanna's lips curled. She sneered, "Then let me put it this way... she's a married woman. You'd better stay away from her, or you'll be fooled."

"So what? I said that she is my woman. You touched my woman, and that is something I won't tolerate." He said slowly.

"You!" Archibald's arrogance is beyond Joanna's imagination. She had somebody drugged a cups of fruity wine and send it to Lilian. She hired the man to do this because she wanted to destroy Lilian's reputation. She hadn't heard any updates from them now, and she desperately wondered how everything was going on there.

She knew Archibald had found it. He said she shouldn't have touched his woman, so Jonna wondered if her people had already succeed, or Archibald wouldn't have spared no efforts to bring her here.

Thinking of that, she sneered triumphantly, "Mr. Hawkins, you got me. I've got nothing to explain. Do you still want Lilian after what has happened to her last night?"

Archibald knew what she meant by that. He unclenched his fist and supported his head with one hand. His eyes looked like a shimmering ocean in the moon light, giving out powerful and irresistable pressure.

"Speaking of which... I should thank you for what you have done, or Lilian wouldn't have really become my woman so fast."

His words sounded lazy but meaningful, which was like a thunderbolt a Joanna's eyes. She looked at Archibald with disbelief. The man was sitting in the sofa calmly. She paused for a second and her eyes started to lose focus.

"What did he say just now? He said he thanked me? He said last night, Lilian had really become his woman?"

That meant her people had failed their mission, which was why she hadn't heard from them yet.

"You... what did you do to my people?" Joanna asked in shock. He had her kidnapped today, and that meant those people she sent to hurt Lilian must have been... Joanna didn't even dare to think more about it.

"They?" Archibald suddenly looked fierce. His thin lips curled a bloodthirsty smile. He said coldly and calmly, "They lost the part which was missed on the palace eunuchs in the old days."

Joanna trembled when she heard the words. She gnashed her teeth because she was so nervous. Then she looked at Archibald as if the man was a demon. He had emasculated those man! That was so ruthless! How would they live with that shame?

Those people had suffered such a painful and tragic end. Joanna couldn't help imagine what is ahead of her. Horror ran across her body like electric shock. Her lips were twitching.

"Archibald, a man should never bully a woman. You should let me go," she was talking peacefully, but inside she felt so terrified.

Archibald pursed his lips and smiled. Then he stood up and walked to the bed, looking down at her.

"I never think that I am a good person, and of course I will not bully a woman, but as long as somebody touched my things, I will never forgive no matter it is a man or woman.

In Joanna's shocking and suspicious stare, he continued, "You've been with Sebastian for a very long time, and you're still just his nameless female companion. I knew you want to be Mrs. Palmer, but you should know that sometimes it is better to spend more time and efforts on the man directly rather than to try to drive away those woman around him."

He glanced sideways at the bodyguard. The bodyguard read his hint and pikced up a cup of fruity wine. Then he walked to Joanna.

Joanna stared at the wine in the bodyguard's hand in horror. Finally she screamed out, "What are you doing?" She started to panting and couldn't move her eyes away from the cup, because she didn't know what they had put in it.

Archibald's tone suddenly turned evil, "I heard you love taking drugs and drugging other people, this cup of wine had the same drug you poisoned Lilian with last night, only that I've put a larger amount in."
