Take Me Away novel Chapter 135

"Mrs. Cheng, what are you going to do?" A soldier was helping Fiona in the kitchen. As he watched her slice the pork, green pepper and cucumber skillfully, he asked, "Are you going to cook fish-flavored pork?"

Fiona nodded in reply without lifting her gaze. Her eyes were trained on the knife. She continued to chop the ingredients deftly with elegant movements.

"But the carrots are missing. Didn't you find them? I'll get them for you." The soldier turned his back and was about to ran to the storage room.

"Don't bother!" Fiona momentarily stopped with the cooking preparations. She called him back and explained, "Spencer doesn't like eating carrots, so I won't use them. Nonetheless, thank you for trying to help!"

Fiona smiled brightly. The soldier scratched his head shyly and blushed. "Ah, I see. You knows Mr. Cheng very well. He is so lucky to have you!"

Surprised, Fiona's lips curled up to show her happiness. It was the first time that Fiona had been so serious about cooking. She cut the vegetables, stirred the pot and arranged the dishes meticulously without missing a beat.

She was able to make three dishes and one soup. She then went to the dormitory with the soldier and set the dishes on the table. For a while, Fiona silently sat at the table while looking at the dishes she had cooked especially for him. She rested her hands on her cheeks, with a faint expectation in her heart.

Fiona thought that her actions today were a bit strange, but she readily accepted the emotions she felt towards him. Perhaps, she already had feelings for him. Otherwise, why would she tiptoe to kiss him in the fitting room? She only needed a chance to open her heart to him.

The red glow in the sky gradually dissipated until everything turned black.

Fiona waited in the dormitory for a long time. From time to time, she walked to the balcony, looked at the clock on the wall, and paced back and forth in the hallway. It was eight o'clock in the evening, but Spencer still hadn't come back.

Worry began to stir in Fiona's heart. Finally, she decided to open the door and walk out. She proceeded to ask the people passing along the road if they had seen Spencer.

"Excuse me. Have you seen Spencer?" Fiona asked.

"No, I haven't."

"Have you met Spencer?"

"No."

"Have you seen Spencer?" Fiona didn't know how many people she had asked.

"Mr. Cheng was in the combat ring." Suddenly, a subordinate who was walking towards her opened his mouth. Fiona's eyes lit up. She walked to him and confirmed, "Did he really go to the combat ring?"

"Yes, he went there."

"Where is the combat ring?" Fiona's heart began to beat faster in excitement. Right there and then, she vowed to look for Spencer at the combat ring.

"Just walk along this road and turn left. You will see the combat ring if you continue by that path."

"Thank you!" After expressing her thanks, she hurried to the direction provided by the subordinate. 'Why is he in the combat ring now? Is there a competition?' Fiona mused.

Meanwhile, a loud bang was heard from Celine's ward. She wore a distraught expression as she sat on the bed. Biting her lip, she lifted her arm to grab a cup; then suddenly, she threw it to the floor. The glass was broken into pieces. Her brows were knitted tightly and her face was red with anger. However, her angry expression could do nothing to cover her shaking hands and slightly trembling lips.

Her menstrual period had already passed, but there was still no sign of her aunt Flo. It had been delayed for more than ten days. 'Am I pregnant?'

Celine grasped the corner of the quilt tightly and gritted her teeth. She shook her head vigorously to escape the thought that suddenly came to her. Except for that night when she was drugged in T Country, she hadn't had sex for a long time. If she was really pregnant... She dared not think about it!

With shaking hands,

Celine struggled to dial Charles' number.

"Hello..."

"You're a bastard, Charles!" Celine let out her anger without reserve. "You're a scum! Bastard!"

"Celine, what's wrong with you?" Charles asked in an unaffected voice. He let out an audible sigh before saying in a cold tone, "Your strategy won't work on me. If you want a fight, I don't have time to argue with you."

"I'm pregnant!" Celine roared through gritted teeth. Her voice was low and filled with determination.

"Really?" Charles replied with a hint of curiosity. "Congratulations! You are going to be a mother!"

At his apparent sarcasm, Celine felt anger. "You..." She clenched her fist tightly that she drew blood with her fingers digging into her palm. "You did it on purpose, didn't you? Tell me who were with me that night!"

"Sorry, I don't know," Charles said. "But..."

His voice trailed off. Out of curiosity, Celine asked, "But what?"

"But if you want to find a man to be the baby's father, I think Spencer might be a good choice," Charles suggested.

"What do you mean?" Celine frowned, but a sly light flashed in her eyes.

Charles continued, "What I mean is that if you find a chance to leave the base, I'll ask someone to give you the drug. After that, you can find an opportunity to sleep with Spencer. By then, it will be very clear who the baby's father is."

It took Celine a few seconds to reply, "I'm going out tonight."

"Why are you in such a hurry?" There was a touch of mockery in Charles's words.

Right then, Celine had a determined look on her face. "I am going to the pharmacy to see if I am really pregnant."

"So you are not really sure that you're pregnant!" Charles could not hide the disappointment in his voice. "Then don't screw it up, it will only worsen the situation."

"Don't worry. I'm not that stupid!" Gritting her teeth, Celine squinted and said angrily, "I'm hanging up. I'll contact you when I get out of the base."

"Wait!" Charles suddenly raised his voice to stop her.

"What's wrong?" she asked quizzically.

"Is there nothing unusual in the base today?" Charles hesitated for a moment before he asked, "How is Fiona?"

"I see!" Celine snorted loudly, "So you still have feelings for her! You are really a faithful man! Humph! Fiona is fine! Well, do you want me to go out together with her?"

"Can you take her out?" In a mocking voice, he continued, "What about Spencer? How is he getting along with Fiona?"

"He's doing fine, too. Both of them are doing well!" Celine's words were filled with hatred and jealousy.

"It can't be..." murmured Charles.

"What are you talking about?"

After thinking for a while, Charles said, "I sent him a wonderful video today. It seems that he blocked the news. Otherwise, you will surely know about it."

"What video?" Surprised, Celine widened her eyes.

"Well, it was a love-making video between me and Fiona. Ha-ha..." Charles laughed, as if he remembered something amusing.

Celine shivered in disgust, but the excitement in her eyes shone even brighter. She asked anxiously, "Did you sleep with Fiona?"

"What do you think?" Charles retorted.

"Since you are so confident, it seems that you have succeeded," Celine responded with a smug smile. "However, you do love following in Spencer's footsteps. You're even willing to love a woman he has already used."

"Are you in any position to compare yourself to her?" Charles replied bluntly. "You are a woman who have slept with so many men. Who do you think you are?"

"Charles! You..." Celine's face was red with fury. She barely managed to contain her anger.

"Well, aren't we allies? So just shut up!" Charles interrupted. "Hurry up if you want to go out. Don't dawdle."

Clenching her hand into a hard fist, Celine made up her mind that when she came back to Spencer one day, she would no longer have to deal with Charles.

On her way to combat ring, Fiona saw Celine. She had walked out of the infirmary in a hurry and was tugging at her clothes in a nervous manner. Frowning, Fiona was about to pick up her pace, but she was soon discovered by Celine.

"Hi, Fiona!" Celine called to Fiona in a friendly voice. Fiona had no choice but to stop as Celine walked over to her in high heels. "What's wrong? Why didn't you say hello when you saw me?" Smiling, Celine tilted her head in curiosity.

"It's dark outside, so I didn't see you," Fiona replied casually.

Celine sneered and said invitingly, "It's so boring to stay at the base every day. Would you like to go out and play with me?"

"No, I won't go." Fiona shook her head.

"Are you sure?" Celine raised an eyebrow upon seeing that Fiona didn't want to go with her. She just shrugged her shoulders and started to walk away.

Fiona was about to remind her to be careful. But on second thought, she changed her mind. She turned around and continued to walk towards the combat ring.

Celine turned around to observe Fiona's receding figure. She thought ruefully, 'Don't pretend to be innocent! You've slept with Charles.'

"Miss Cheng, we'll go out with you to protect you." While she was deep in thought, two people came from a distance and bowed politely to greet her.

"You don't have to protect me. I can take care of myself." Celine waved her hand dismissively. Impatience was written on her face.

"Sorry, Miss Cheng, without our company, you are not allowed to leave the base."

Celine rolled her eyes at them and flashed a smile filled with sarcasm. "Okay, okay! You can follow me." As she spoke, she strode forward. The two men looked at each other helplessly and followed behind her.

At the same time, Fiona, who was getting close to the combat ring, heard loud cheers from the audience. She ran quickly towards the entrance; every step was heavy with worry for Spencer. At the center of the ring was an empty field. Her eyes immediately spotted Spencer on the stage, punching and kicking at the punching bag.

He was warming up alone at the ring. His upper body was naked, and he only wore loose shorts. His hands were equipped with boxing gloves. A beam of cool light shone around him, while the rest of the arena was shrouded with darkness. He stared at the punching bag in front of him. His hair was wet in sweat. Like a cold-blooded predator, his eyes were sharp and focused as he punched and kicked the punching bag with great force.

The sound of his voice as he exerted himself in the ring was loud, clear and also a little scary.

"Spencer?" Feeling cautious and out of place, Fiona walked towards the stage.

Hearing Fiona's voice, he was stunned for a second. Then he lifted his hand again and asked without turning around, "What are you doing here?"

"I was waiting for you at the dormitory for a long time, but you hadn't come back. I heard that you are here, so I come here to look for you." But still, she thought Spencer was a little strange today. Shyly, she explained, "I made dinner for you."

Upon hearing her words, Spencer's hand which was about to hit the punching bag stopped mid-air. Then, he dropped his hand and turned around to face her. The sweat on his face made him look more manly. He stared at Fiona for a few seconds. Then he reached out and removed his gloves. Before Fiona could react, he jumped off the stage and came to her.

"Are you done practicing?" Fiona's voice was calm and indifferent.

"Yes." He held her head and pulled her towards him. Then he lowered his head and covered her lips with his.

"Mmph..." Fiona wanted to say something, but the rest of the sentence was sucked into her stomach by Spencer.

He held her tighter as he devoured her soft mouth. He swore to himself that Fiona's whole being would be his alone. Thinking of the video he watched not long ago, a rage emerged in his chest. Fiona could only be his!

Feeling the sudden passion of Spencer, Fiona was at a loss on what to do. Although she was used to being kissed abruptly every time, he seemed to be a little angry with her this time. Spencer hugged her tightly that she couldn't even breathe.

"I miss you, Fiona." After a long time, he released Fiona and whispered in her ear.

Fiona's face suddenly turned red. In a daze, she was dragged away by Spencer. She didn't know how she followed him back to his dormitory.

"Fiona..." As soon as she closed the door, he planted kisses on her neck and clavicle. In a low and husky voice, Spencer exclaimed, "Tell me that you only belong to me!"

"Spencer!" Fiona blushed even harder. Her voice was as soft as a kitten. Being so close to her that he could smell her sensuous scent, Spencer dug his fingers at her delicate waist.

"Say that you only belong to me!" Spencer growled at her again and began to kiss her passionately. He was obviously dissatisfied with Fiona.

While avoiding his kiss, Fiona answered, "I belong to you."

Fiona didn't know how he would react to her words. But after she finished speaking, she saw that Spencer's eyes turned red. Without warning, he picked her up and carried her to the bedroom.

"We haven't had dinner yet..." Fiona struggled weakly.

"I prefer you."
