"I heard that you haven't eaten either?"

A distant and sarcastic voice reverberated throughout the ward. Fiona straightened her shoulders and looked at the door unconsciously. When she saw the figure in the darkness, she pursed her lips but did not make any sound.

The high heels clicked as they hit the floor.

Celine walked in elegantly and clasped her arms against her chest. She put on a haughty look and remarked, "I know myself that pregnant women have no appetite."

Fiona narrowed her eyes in response to Celine's provocation. One thought repeatedly plagued her mind: Celine was pregnant with Spencer's child. Her head felt like it was being torn apart, and her chest was so heavy that she could hardly breathe. It had never occurred to her that one day, everything would just make sense to her. Today, amidst this challenging situation, she suddenly understood a lot of things.

For example, she felt an unexpected joy when she found out that she was going to have a baby with Spencer. She also felt heartbroken when he misunderstood her. Furthermore, the relationship between Celine and Spencer made her jealous. To sum it up, she had fallen in love with Spencer!

After realizing her true feeling towards Spencer, tears started to form in Fiona's eyes.

"Since the very beginning, my goal has been very clear." Celine was clad in the moonlight as she stood in front of the bed. Staring at Fiona's downcast face, she continued, "I don't want to do this, but you are Spencer's wife. So I can only turn myself against you. She touched her belly and added, "This baby is Spencer's flesh and blood."

'Bitch!' Fiona thought to herself as her heart was filled with jealousy and anger once again. Fiona gripped her clothes tightly and raised her head a little. Staring straight at Celine, she said in a deep and hoarse voice, "Celine, get out of here."

"Fiona, when are you going to divorce him?" Celine raised her eyebrows and ignored what Fiona just said.

"Divorce?" Gingerly, Fiona whispered the strange word to herself, as if she had heard it for the first time. Instantly, she felt averse to it. She had been through so much with Spencer. Even through the hard times, she had never thought of divorcing him. When it was suddenly mentioned by Celine, she felt an urge to defend their marriage. She loved Spencer so much that she didn't want to divorce.

"You don't want to divorce, do you?" Celine noticed the angry look on Fiona's face, and continued to provoke her. "That's right. Spencer is a good man, and it's only natural that you don't want to divorce him. However, there are things that you can't control. Even though Spencer's grandpa likes you very much, he won't accept that you have another man's baby. More importantly, Spencer's career prospects are beyond promising. If you stay by his side, you'll only stain his name and honor."

"Stain?" Fiona moved her stiff body to face Celine directly. "Why don't you believe me? The person in the video is not me..."

"It's not that I don't trust you, it's just that I don't trust Charles." Celine gritted her teeth. "Do you know what kind of person he is?"

Frowning, Fiona was lost in thought. In his eyes, Charles was Ryan's brother, the CEO of ZR Company who established X.

"Since he had caught you once, you should already know that he's a capable man. Once he set his sights on something, he'll do everything to get it. There's no such thing as impossible for him. Since he is interested in you, how could he simply allow you to stay in the Cherry Grove Residence? Do you really believe that he'll just sit back and do nothing? How could he want you but not touch you? Will he let you walk out of his place without having you?!" Celine roared. When she finished, she couldn't help frowning because of the pain in her lower abdomen.

She knew what caused the pain. That night when she had slept with Spencer, he was very drunk. Although she enjoyed being with him, she had to endure his brusqueness. From that night on, her underbelly began to hurt, and she would bleed from time to time. She knew that the baby in her womb would not last too long, so she had to tell Spencer that she was pregnant in three days. Although it was risky, she had no other choice.

"It doesn't matter whether you believe me or not," Fiona shrugged her shoulders and replied coolly. "You may leave now."

"Of course I will. But once I leave, I will head for M City." Celine took a step back and added, "I'm going back to the Cheng family residence to tell them about my baby."

"Celine! Are you crazy?" Fiona widened her eyes and jumped out of the bed at once. Because she hadn't moved for a long time, she almost fell over to the floor. When she had steadied her gait, she stared at Celine in disbelief. "You're not allowed to go back!" she shouted.

"Why?" Celine asked calmly. She took a step closer to Fiona.

"Grandpa is sick. You know clearly that his condition would worsen if you tell him!" Fiona forcefully grabbed Celine's sleeve and shouted at her face. "Are you crazy?"

"So what if I am crazy!" Celine sported a haughty smile as she removed Fiona's hand on her sleeve. "This is good news! I'm sure Grandpa will be very happy. I'm much better than you, aren't I?"

Fiona's face was red with anger as she continued to shout, "Don't you have any sense of shame? You are his sister! Why are you so..." She barely stopped herself from throwing expletives at Celine.

"Shameless?" Celine supplied. With a sneer, she grabbed Fiona's collar and pushed her towards the ward table.

"Celine, what are you doing?" Fiona was shocked. As she spoke, her back hit the corner of the table. Frightened, she covered her lower abdomen with one hand and pushed Celine backward with the other. "What are you doing?"

"Huh? Why do you care about Charles' child?" Celine snorted. She kept mentioning things that would anger Fiona.

"Shut up! It's not his child!" Overcame by rage and fear, she turned around to face Celine. She closed her eyes and pushed Celine away with all her strength. Celine felt herself falling but did nothing to protect herself. The moment that she was pushed away, she let out a smile of relief. Fiona did not see the victorious look on Celine's face.

"Ahhhh!"

Hearing a scream, Fiona quickly opened her eyes only to see Celine screaming in horror. Her pupils dilated as she watched her stumble on her high heels. She stretched her hand to reach for her, but she lost her balance and fell on her back.

"Celine!" Startled, Fiona reached out to help her up, but she was one step slower.

With a loud thud, Celine fell on the cold floor. The sudden fall shocked Fiona and she stepped back unconsciously.

"Uh..." Facing the ceiling, Celine's hand was still open in mid-air. Stabbed by a glaring pain in her stomach, and she let out a painful whimper.

"Celine... Celine!" As soon as Fiona caught to her senses, she ran to Celine with a pale face. She knelt down in front of her and held her head, trying to pull her up.

"My... belly..." Celine said intermittently as she moaned breathlessly. Her face was contorted in pain as she looked down at her abdomen.

"Belly?" With a stunned expression, Fiona mover her gaze to Celine's belly, only to see that there was dark liquid flowing out of her crotch. Sweating profusely, Fiona stretched out her hand to touch the liquid on the floor. It felt warm and sticky on her fingers. She then lifted her hand to examine the liquid. The next second, her hand trembled and her face went pale. "Blood! You are bleeding!" she said in a panicked voice.

"It hurts... My baby..." Celine cried.

"Your child..." Fiona repeated in horror. Her body was frozen in fear, but her heart was beating fast against her chest. Under the moonlight, the red blood was reflected in her eyes.

Celine's face grew even paler and her lips were bloodless. However, there was a faint smile on her lips. 'My child, you have fulfilled your mission,' she thought to herself before losing consciousness.

"Doctor! Is there any doctor here?" Fiona shouted loudly and hugged Celine close to her body. Although she hated Celine, she worried about the child in her belly. Like her, she was also a mother now. She knew that the pain of losing a child was worse than death.

The doctor on duty soon noticed Fiona's non-stop call for help. Her hoarse screams, the messy footsteps and the hurried pushing of the door clearly echoed throughout the corridor, disturbing the otherwise calm night.

Perhaps, this night was not meant to be calm.

X's headquarters was located in the tropical rain forest spanning three countries, namely, Z Country, T Country and M Country. In the middle of the night, it was still ablaze with lights.

The bright lights in the headquarters shone brightly amidst the darkness of the rain forest. A vigorous figure moved in the darkness. It was none other than Spencer who just left the base in P City.

His slender figure moved nimbly without sound like a creature of the night. He used speculation as he looked for the hidden base. Occasionally, a truck would pass through the jungle path. He hid behind a big tree and thought that he had found the right way, thanks to the truck.

After a few hours' journey, Spencer finally arrived at his destination. When he saw the brightly-lit headquarters, he breathed a sigh of relief. He was determined to go in, but how could he infiltrate the headquarters?

Spencer squinted his eyes. It seemed that he was only five hundred meters away from the base. He turned his head and looked at the towering trees around him. He patted the thick and hard bark with his palm and decided to climb up the tree to observe the happenings inside the headquarters.

Climbing trees was a piece of cake for him.

Spencer climbed onto the tree slowly, grabbing hold of one branch at a time as he pressed hard on his feet to prop himself up. After he climbed a few meters, there was nothing that he could hold on to anymore. High up the tree, the trunk was smooth without any branches. Suddenly, he took out the knife hidden inside his boot. He stabbed the thick trunk with the knife, and used that as his leverage to continue his climb.

Near the top of the tree, he found a sturdy branch and stood on it. Covered by the thick leaves, he finally had access to the happenings inside the headquarters.

He leaned on a branch and removed the backpack from his bag. He then took out a telescope which he had prepared in advance. He peered through the telescope and memorized the terrain. This time, he only wanted to know the exact location of the X headquarters. Thinking that the job was too easy, he snickered to himself, 'Well, Charles, be careful next time!'

There was a huge laboratory in the west of the base. People in white gowns busily worked even in the middle of the night. Drug trade was a very terrible thing. For instance, if the drugs were not intercepted at the M City airport, they would have spread to the market in a flash. If that had happened, the impact would be immeasurable.

Spencer silently memorized the appearance of the laboratory and vowed to destroy it one day.

After some time,

Spencer heard a whistle below him, followed by the sound of footsteps. The sound stopped below the tree and was replaced by the sound of pee. Still standing on the highest branch, Spencer arched an eyebrow, smiled and started to get off the tree quietly.
