Taming the Beast novel Chapter 62

I was surprised to find out that we landed in California. We were standing at a four star hotel in San Diego. Keegan was ready for everything. He packed a bag for me with everything I would need. He set the bag in the corner of the hotel room before he wrapped his arms around my waist. He kissed my cheek as his hand rubbed over my stomach. The room was really nice. It was clean and warm feeling. There was one queen sized bed in the middle of the room covered in a white comforter. It was a suite sized room complete with a small kitchen, a common room, bathroom, and a laundry set that was available to us. 

"I love you," he muttered into my neck. I smiled and turned in his arms to kiss his lips.

"This is all so much, Keegan," I smiled at him. He only kissed me in response.

"You deserve the world, princess," he muttered against my neck. I smiled into the kiss and pulled him towards the bed. He unzipped my dress before we laid down on bed. His lips peppered kisses all over my body. A ghost of a smile painted my lips as Keegan placed kisses along my inner thigh. My stomach clenched in a good way as my fingers gripped the bed sheets. He kissed up my stomach before his lips stopped on my neck. I held his face in my hands and made him look at me. I smiled at him as I rubbed my thumb over his cheek.

"I love you," I said softly. He gave me a gentle smile before he pushed into my entrance. I gasped at the feeling as I watched his already dark eyes turn completely black. He gave me a small smile before he began slow gentle thrusts. I moaned as my nails dug into his back. He groaned and dropped his head into the crook of my neck. His nose ran along my collarbone. He sped up his thrusts as I felt his teeth poke the skin of my shoulder. I craned my neck to give him more access. He teased me and pushed me to the edge before bringing me back. I have no idea how long that lasted, but it only felt like a few minutes. I finally climaxed as his teeth sunk into my skin between my neck and shoulder. He cried out as his hips stilled before he kissed my neck gently.

"I love you," he whispered before he kissed my fading bite mark. I tangled my legs with his as he laid down beside me.

"So I hear," I smiled at him, as I turned to lay on my side. Keegan moved and kissed my stomach as I moved to lay on my back again. He laid the side of his head on my stomach. I ran my fingers through his hair.

"I can hear him," Keegan whispered. I laughed and looked down at him.

"Her," I corrected him. Keegan rubbed soothing circles on my stomach and kept his head in place.

"Babe," Keegan said after a while. I hummed a response and let my eyes close. "Are you okay with being pregnant this early in your life? I know you wanted to do other things first, and we probably should've used protection, so I'm sorry. I didn't want to make you have to grow up like this," he started rambling. He stopped talking when I sat up. He laid his head in my lap and I held his cheek gently.

"I don't regret anything. I know that this isn't exactly how I planned for my life to go, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love you and I am happy," I said. Keegan smiled as I kissed his head and laid back down.

"I'm glad... and I promise you, I will take care of you. I know I haven't been the best when it comes to emergencies, and I suck at being the big bad Alpha, but I'll try okay?" he said softly. I only sighed as I gave a small 'okay'.

The next morning, Keegan took us to Santa Monica Beach where we got surfing lessons. It was pretty cool. Keegan was really good at surfing. The cold water felt good against my wetsuit. After about two hours of this, we practically crawled out of the water, carrying our boards with us. I set my board down and collapsed on the sand. I was breathing heavily as I laughed.

"Did you enjoy that?" Keegan asked me. I smiled and nodded.

"I'm so tired," I said, taking Keegan's outstretched hand. I stood up and walked with him to return the board before we used the outdoor shower to get all the sand off. After that, I toweled down and pulled a pair of shorts over my turquoise bikini bottoms. I adjusted my matching zipper bandeau top and put on a pair of flip flops and a white lace bohemian cover before we started walking on Santa Monica Pier. It was fun. There were different entertainers and shops everywhere. The small amusement park was pretty fun too. We walked passed the restaurant with my cup of fruit and looked out over the water. Keegan stood behind me and wrapped his arms around me so that his hands were resting on my stomach. I forked a pineapple into my mouth and offered Keegan a piece of watermelon which he gladly accepted. We were both just really quiet as we looked out on the water.

"I had a good time today," he said softly as he kissed my head. I could only smile and nod in response. "We have to go back in a day. I tried to make the vacation as long as I possibly could, but now that I'm Alpha and you Luna, we have responsibilities. Plus, a small pack got attacked by rogues yesterday. They're coming to join our pack, and we'll have the ceremony as soon as we get back," Keegan said. I sighed and closed my eyes.

"I didn't think it was possible for you to ruin a beachside sunset... but you just did," I said before I snaked out of his arms and started walking back towards our rental. He easily caught up to me and wrapped an arm around my waist.

"Sorry Care; I just thought you should know why we're not staying longer and I got a little carried away," he said sheepishly. I sighed before I shook my head chuckling.

"It's okay. You can make up for it tonight," I said shooting him a wink. He raised his eyebrows in amusement before lust clouded his amber eyes and turned them darker.

"Don't tease me, Caroline. You know I will," he growled lowly with a smirk. I laughed as we reached the car.

"I'm counting on it," I joked as I slid into the passenger side.
