Sahil's POV

I was still confused but Samar asked me to come to my room.

We both went there.

" What is this all about Samar?? What is going on?? You were interested in Manu a few days back and now you are ready to get married to Swati?"

" Sahil actually... I was never interested in Manu. Though she is a very good girl, still she is just a friend to me. "

" But you said that you wouldn't mind...  you said... She was perfect. "

" She was perfect for you... Not for me... I just said that to instigate you to take preventive measures. We wanted you to get insecure about Manu. We wanted you to feel the pain to see her leaving you and getting married to someone else. We wanted you to realise your feelings for her." He explained.

" Was that the reason, you were laughing like a maniac while I was beating you?? "

" Yeah... Why else I would have laughed, you idiot?  " he laughed again.

" What do you mean by we?? Who else was involved in that ?? "

" One who knows you, as you know yourself... Your twin .. Sagar... Who else?? "

" You both have given me so much tension I swear I want to kill you... "

" But It worked.... isn't it?? "

" Yeah, but I was dying every time you or Sagar mentioned about divorce or her remarriage. "

" That was the whole point. To make you realise your feelings towards your beautiful wife."

" Hmm... but don't call her beautiful... that's my right...and that was too much... " I said shaking my head and he started laughing again.

" When did you come to know that she was Manyata? " I asked.

" Umm.. on the sangeet ceremony. "

" How?? "

" Sagar called me back, after the ceremony, as he had a doubt that I liked Manu. He confronted me about my feelings for her. I got suspicious of his behaviour, as he was overly protective and very secretive about her.  He kept telling me to stay away from her. I had to get it out of him, why he was so worried if I had feelings for  Manu. After a long heated discussion and many negotiations, I got to know that she was Manyata.  He didn't want to tell me, as I am your best friend and I could tell you. But I got him and he had to tell. '

" Why didn't you tell me... "

" I had my reasons for that. "

" Such as?? "

" Sagar gave me a few reasons and I found them valid. "

" Tell me those reasons... "

" He wanted you to get back with Manyata and I agreed, as she was definitely a very good girl. Perfect for you, we both could see that you were attracted towards her and you thought that I was also interested in her. So he asked me to let you think whatever you were. We didn't correct your misunderstanding. "

" I wanted to break all your teeth, which you used to flash at her. "

" I know... " He smiled. Idiot...

" But you should have told me Samar.. "

" No, I could not... Sagar made sure of that. He manipulated my actions but I knew he was on the right track. I was having a mental duel in my mind. I was confused if I should tell you or not. But then I decided to agree with Sagar. "

" How did he manipulate you?? "

" Umm. He asked me if I liked Manu the way he liked Damini.. I refused that but he didn't believe me, till I told the name of the girl, I liked. He said he would help me If only I would do what he says...."

" What?? He blackmailed you?? "

" That is a very harsh word... Negotiation... Maybe...  Sahil, I swear, I never had any feelings for Manu.  "

" How could Sagar help you with your love life ?? "

" Ummm he said he would... As I had not even told that girl about my feelings. "

" Hey !! Wait a minute. If you like a girl then why didn't you tell my dad that? He is going to talk about your wedding with Swati?  Go man stop him. "

" Sahil... I need to tell you one more thing... "

" What?? "

" Though I never had any feelings for Manu, still I broke our bro code..."

" What do you mean?? " I was confused.

" Sahil the only girl, I have always had feelings for, is Swati. "

" What?? "

I thought it was dad who was arranging the wedding between them.

" You love Swati??? But when did that happen? What is going on? Dad was asking you to marry Manu and now he wants you to marry Swati and now you are saying that you love her... "

" Please don't get angry... I fell for her when I met for the first time. I tried my level best to suppress my feelings for her as she was your little sister. But I couldn't help falling in love with her. I still kept denying my feelings but when dad wanted me to get married to Damini, I realised that I couldn't even think about my life without her.  I wanted to tell you first but was scared that you would not like it and I ended up telling Sagar first due to the circumstances. "  He said looking at me.

" Uncle didn't know anything about our plan. He wanted me to get married to Manu. So I had to tell him my feelings too. I am sorry Sahil... If you think that I betrayed you. You can punch me all you want but I am madly, badly, hopelessly and helplessly in love with your sister. " he said and closed his eyes as if was waiting for me to punch him.

" What about Swati?? I swear, I will not let dad interfere with her life and impose his decision on her as he did in my case. "

" Umm.. she likes me too. "  He said with a cute smile and blush.

" Are you sure?? " I asked.

" Hmmm, I am... "

" When we're you going to tell me on your wedding day?? "

" That's why I called you in the morning, I could have solved that problem on my own after consulting with you on phone but I wanted to tell you about all this before our dads had a talk. I knew you would come really soon if I tell you that your dad wanted to talk to my dad. I couldn't go ahead without telling you. You are my best friend and is most important to me. Your feelings and consent matter a lot to me. " he said.

" So, You will not marry my sister of I refuse for this alliance? " I said with a raised eyebrow.

" Yeah, but I would never ever marry anyone else. I will keep waiting till you give your consent. Trust me Sahil, I love her. I haven't even thought about any other girl. I never flirted with any other girl. Though you all thought, that I was interested in Damini and Manu, I was just friendly. I am like that with everyone. You know that... "

" Hmm... let's go, I need to talk to my sister, then I will say anything about it. "

" You are not angry with me?? " he said looking surprised as I did not beat him.

" How can I be angry with my best friend. He even took my punches to make me realise my feelings for my wife and still kept laughing. You are one of a kind. On top of that, I know you are the best man I know. So who could be better than you for my precious little princess? "

" I love you, bro... "  He hugged me very hard.

" Love you too... But hate you too for making me so jealous. I could have punched you more. " I said and he hugged me.

All of a sudden he saw my hand which was red and a bit swollen.

" Hey.. what is this?? "

" Nothing... " I said. But he was adamant to know so I told him. He was getting irritated in the beginning but later on, he grinned at that.

" Amazing... You are whipped bro... Totally in love with our Manu... "

" Our ??? " I said with an eyebrow raised.

" Your...your.. only your's. My friend and now sister-in-law. " He said laughing and winking.
