Manyata's POV

"  I know and I accept that I messed up everything in the past. But I am trying to change myself. Don't I have the right to get something for my wife too? Ok fine, do whatever you want. Keep it or throw it. "  He said and went to his room.

He seemed to be very upset. I was still shocked at his outburst. I didn't mean to hurt him. But I guess, I did.

I just said that because I had lots and lots of dresses. Moreover, he was my husband, but we were not like a normal couple. So, I felt uncomfortable that he bought 3 dresses for me.

I was not used to of it. But he has been trying to get things normal between us and I messed up everything. I should not have said that.

I thought of going to talk to him but then I thought that I should go to talk to him with something he loves a lot. I  rushed to the kitchen to make something.

Only halwa could be prepared in 10-15 mins. So I  started preparing it for him.

I was still in the kitchen when I heard his footstep. He was coming down the stairs. I came out of the kitchen.

" Sahil wait !!! "

" What for?? I don't want to argue over it. Just throw that, send it back or do whatever you want. " he said walking towards the door.

" Where are you going?? Wait !!! " I ran after him.

" I have a meeting, I need to go. "

" You haven't eaten anything... "

" Doesn't matter... " he said but I caught his hand.

" It does... Please, wait for 5 minutes and have something. " I said and he saw his watch and nodded. 

He followed me back to the dining table. I served breakfast. He ate it without saying anything. He was still upset. So I got the halwa for him.

He ate breakfast and got up.

" Halwa?? " I said and started serving it. But he shook his head.

" Thanks, but I don't want it. You should not have made it. " He said with a straight face.

" Why ?? But you like it. I made it just for you. "

" Thanks,  but you had already taken so many efforts in making breakfast for me. You should not have done so much. "

" Sahil... It is nothing... It takes just 10 minutes to make this.   "

"  Please don't bother from next time. I could make the food for myself or could eat out," he said and I felt very hurt.

" Why are you saying so?? "

" Try and understand Manu, you made halwa for me because you knew that I like it. You wanted me to eat it, so you made it. You are saying, it is not a big deal... You wanted to do it for me. Right?" He said and I nodded.

" Same way, I saw something and I thought it would be good for you, I got it for you, I wanted to buy it for you. So, it was not a big deal.  I just thought that I had a right to buy something for my wife. Just like, you have a right to do something to make me happy. "  He said looking into my eyes.

" Yeah... Ok I understand, I am sorry... Please don't be upset. " I said and he smiled a bit and placed his index finger on my lips.

" No need to be sorry, honey. "

" Now halwa?? " I asked.

" Dress?? " he asked instead of answering. I smiled and nodded. He smiled and took the halwa and ate it.

" You make awesome foods especially sweet things. "

" It is not like that. You have 32 sweet teeth so you love sweets." I said and he ate the halwa and smiled.

" I love everything you make, but sweets... Ufff... Awesome, amazing, delicious, out of the world... " he smiled looking into my eyes. My heart skipped a beat.

" Ok thanks... Now you are not getting late?? " I said.

" Oh yes, I am.  But hey, I am the boss... I can afford to go late. Let's go, I will drop you and pick you up in the evening,  then we will go out and have dinner. "

"  So that you can meet at Mohit ??? " I looked at him and he laughed and then winked at me and nodded.

Satan... Don't you dare...

" Shall I pack lunch for you?? "

" How can I say no, when you made it for me... And you eat your breakfast too. "

After packing lunch for us and having breakfast we both left, he dropped me at Mohit's office and he pecked on my cheek and drove away.

What's up with this kiss on cheek trend that he started?? But I liked it.

He was cute and mature. I liked the way he made me understand his feelings.  He was happy that I accepted the dress he selected for me.

I went inside and worked harder to complete the work so that we could go to Swati's engagement. I was feeling bad that Sahil had to stay here because of me while he should have been there with his sister.

I completed all most everything and informed Mohit. He was the ok with it if I could take a week off as everything was under control. It would be at least a week left by the time we would be back.

It was almost 6:30 PM, my phone buzzed. It was Sahil.

" Hello !! "

" Hi !! I have finished my work and I am about to reach your office in 2 minutes. "

" I have also finished my work, I will come out. "

" Ok, I reached here," he said.

I went out and saw his car. I placed my bags on the backseat and slipped in the front passenger seat.

" Hi !!  How was your day?? " I asked.

"  Good... Are you are trying to keep your best friend away from me?? Awww... my over-possessive and overprotective wife. My beautiful knight in shining armour. "

" Shut up !! Why should I ?? Go and meet whoever you want?" I said.

" Ok, then I must go and meet him," he said and winked.

" Let it be, he is busy. Let's go. " I said and he threw his head back and laughed.

" My over-possessive biwi... I love you even more for this. Ok so where would you like to go?? " he said and my heart skipped another beat.

" Home actually... I am dead tired. "

" Are you all right?? "

" Yes, but I worked non stop so that I could finish all my work. Sahil as far as I am concerned, I am free to go to the engagement. I can take a one week break. "

" Seriously?? " He was so excited and happy.

" Yeah, we can go home, do the packing and leave. "

" Great !! I am very much excited to go." He was smiling like anything.

" By the way how was your meeting? "

" Good ... The deal is ours... So I was planning to celebrate. Dinner?? "

" Let's go home and order food. We can do the packing in the meanwhile."

" Perfect "

We drove towards home. I called Swati to ask if she needed anything from here.

" Hi, Swati !! How are you?? "

" Very good bhabhi, when are both of you coming? "

"  That's why I called Swati, we are coming tomorrow. I just wanted to ask if you wanted anything from here.  Because we are still driving, so if you need anything we can get it from the market. "

" No bhabhi I got everything. Just waiting for both of you. Where is bhai?  "

" We will be there in the morning. He is driving Swati, he will call you later after reaching home. Bye "

" No problem bhabhi, as it is you both are coming tomorrow. I am so happy and excited. Bye. "

" So are we... See you tomorrow."

" So what did my princess said? Does she want something?? "

" She is on top of the world and just want us to be there as soon as possible. "

" I want to go right now, but since Sagar had that terrible accident, we don't take risk.  Because we saw, how life can change with just a single mistake. "

"  Yes, you are right, we will pack, have food and then have an early night and then in the morning we can leave as early as possible. Maybe 5 or 6 AM,  by the time it's 9 will be there. " I said.

"  Perfect ... "

Sahil's POV

We both reached home, I ordered the food and she started packing. After 30 minutes she came back in her cute baby pink, night suit.

I swear she looked like sweet candy floss. I really wanted to eat her as my dessert. I was having all kind of very naughty thoughts about her.

Shit !! I was losing my sanity... Control yourself, Sahil Malhotra.

" Done with all the packing. Have you done yours? " She asked, but I was in my own world, enjoying my candy floss. So I kept smiling.

" Hello?? Why are you smiling like that? " She asked and I tried to control my smile as she would have slapped me hard if she knew, why was I smiling.

" No, nothing...."

" Then why were you grinning like a Cheshire cat? "
