Ch 33. Councils final verdict

A deadly silence engulfed the courtroom as the king's relation to the black haired beauty got revealed.

That's what they were

And on knowing this the tongues of many badmouthed haters got trapped

Not daring to speak evil about someone who meant so much to their king

"Yes,she is my mate and your Queen

But disregarding our holy bond I am willing to punish her if she is at fault here

Justice comes above everything for me and you all know this really well!!

But before I punish her I need strong evidence against her,either for or against her

So I would like to call upon few members of my pack who have witnessed everything with their own eyes"

Aleka refused to meet his eyes as he spoke against everyone for her.

She knew he will not stop at anything now

He will throw his cards one by one to reveal the truth about every single thing

And that's what he did

For the next 30 minutes evidences kept coming one by one

One by one her good deeds were displayed

The words her pack members told the entire court made her heart swell up with happiness and thankfulness.

"She protected us"

"She saved my family from that monster"

"We found hope in her"

"Her bravery and courage should be written down in the pages of history "

"The Sacrifice her wolf did,should be appreciated not punished"

Aleka was overwhelmed on hearing her pack members,the ones who always hated her talk so highly of her.

The next words which Dan spoke left her as a sobbing mess on the red carpet of the courtroom floor

"I am ashamed to call myself Aleka's brother ,not because she doesn't deserve me ,no it's because I don't deserve her.

When I lost my younger sister Nova I was such a coward ,I couldn't accept that I couldn't save my sister so I started blaming Aleka for everything

I started blaming her for every bad thing that happened to me.

I bullied her ,I hated her,I neglected her

When as a brother I was supposed to protect her,love her and take care of her.

Day by day our entire pack broke her piece by piece

Her beautiful smile got replaced by endless tears

Those eyes which were always shining with happiness turned into cold lifeless dark orbs

That girl who couldn't sleep without her teddy bear slept hugging herself in the dark dungeons

The girl who got scared on the slightest sound of thunder was forced to sleep under the thunder and rain without a roof

The girl who learned how to walk holding my pinky finger fell down when this hand only pushed her down the stairs

The girl who thought this world was full of magic and rainbows came to realise what evil and thunderstorms meant

She came to know that her brother ,her superhero who she adored the most was actually a villain.

Her world of fairies got killed by monsters

And I admit that I was one of these monsters

This continued till one day she was banished for killing our queen

I trusted the evidences ,instead of my heart who kept on saying that how come a little girl who cried all night after a butterfly died,can kill a human.

She was gone

And then did I realised that I had lost my other youngest sister

Then did I realised what kind of a monster I was to her

I had lost all the hope of her return

But she did return

Those rarest of rare black onyx like eyes were staring at me once again

The thing that surprised me was that after so many years of my hate towards her,her eyes still held love and adoration for me

And that was when I first realised that I didn't deserve her

I was ashamed to look into her eyes

I was ashamed to ask for sorry because I knew that a sorry couldn't just bring back all that I took from her.

Then one day she left again just like she came

And that day only we saw that red eyed wolf who Aleka always warned us about

We all saw him kill anyone who came in his way to his throne

We all saw our death in the eyes this fire monster

But then our angel came to protect us

This angel was none other than Aleka and her elemental wolf Ezra who laid down her life to protect us.

Today standing here I want to admit all the atrocities I did on my sister

Today I have gathered enough courage to beg for forgiveness

So Aleka I know I don't deserve this but still I just can't find happiness without you

Will you Aleka forgive your Danny for everything he did?

Will you give me back my sister ,my happiness to me?"

He said and saw her break down in sobs

He went towards her and engulfed her in a bone crushing hug

Tears were running down their faces and like this all their painful memories got washed away.

After the witnesses brought to light the heroistic tale of the thunder wolf everyone was forced to mould their opinion on Aleka.

The elders after collecting enough evidences gave their final decision

"After discussing it with all elders we all arrive at this conclusion that the accused Aleka gray did an act of bravery and selflessness by risking her own life to kill a fire elemental wolf,she has earned our respect and adoration by doing so,but few good deeds cannot overshadow ad seriatim thousands of bad ones"

We realise that she was not in control when she killed those innocents but she was at fault as she didn't report to us the first time her wolf lost control.She revoked a section of werewolf penal code and for that she will be punished."

Aleka was trying to show that she was not scared but her insides were shaking with fear at every word the elder was saying.

She dreaded her death like every other human being

Now that she knew Aaron loved her she wanted to return him her love

She desperately wanted to feel how it felt like

to be loved

To be cared and

To be showered with lovely kisses and cuddles.

She wanted to see her future with Aaron and wanted to have a happy family with him.

And now finally after so long when she was seeing the light at the end of the tunnel she didn't wanted to close her eyes forever.
