The Moon and The Ocean novel Chapter 41

THIRD PERSON'S POV:-

Zeus stopped his car into his mansion's garage and stepped out of the car. He went towards the garden where Vivian was waiting for Zeus. As she saw Zeus, she stood up and bowed her head in respect. Zeus could not help but chuckle. He sat down on one of the benches in the garden. Vivian also took her seat beside Zeus.

Vivian: Pardon me, my Alpha. But did you get it?

Vivian could not control her curiosity anymore. She asked Zeus when he did not tell her anything. Hearing her question, Zeus started laughing hysterically. He was staring at the sky blankly. He shook his head once his laughter subsided.

Alpha Zeus: She did not tell me a thing. Hellenora wants revenge. She wants to take away everything I have in exchange for the information we are seeking. She is burning in rage. There is nothing we can do to make her forget about everything.

Alpha Zeus replied and stood up. Vivian wanted to stop him but she did not. She wanted him to make his decision. And she knew she had to be patient.

Zeus on the other side, he stepped into the mansion. He was drowned into his thoughts that he did not even sense his worried parents and brother. Without looking at any of his family members, he went upstairs, towards his bedroom.

Zeus had his bedroom into the mansion but he had not stepped into that room for half a decade. He opened the door of his bedroom and stepped inside. He shut the door behind. He did not want anyone to disturb him. He wanted to be alone. He went to his closet and opened the door.

As the door opened, he heard that same girlish giggle. The same giggle that used to be ear piercing for him years ago. But all he could do was just to crave for that giggle to reach his ears again. But it was long gone. And he knew there was no way he could get it all back.

FLASH BACK:-

Zeus opened the door of his bedroom. He looked around but it seemed like no one was around. He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair annoyingly.

Zeus: Dabria, come out. This is not funny.

Zeus called while he looked around into his room. He smirked mischievously as he heard a girl-ish giggle again. He knew where it came from. But he decided to play along.

Zeus: Oh Dabria, if you did not come out now, I will ask your father to keep you at home for two days.

Zeus threatened her as he sat on the edge of his bed. The door of the closet swung open and a cute girl stepped out. She had a horrific expression on her beautiful face. She went to Zeus and sat on the ground. She rested her head onto his lap and wrapped her fragile arms around his strong and long leg.

Dabria: Please, tell me you will not do that. You know, he would listen to you. Please, don't do that. I promise, I will not do anything to trouble you.

She said in a pleading tone while her betraying tears again betrayed her. Her tears started flowing freely from her big blue eyes. She tried to keep her voice as low as possible but Zeus was a werewolf. He heard her sobbing loud and clear. He pinched her chin lightly and guided her gaze towards his.

Zeus: It's your fault. You did it, now you have to be ready for the consequences. I just told you your punishment. You will stay at that palace for two days. You can not come here.

He replied and she shook her head. She was stubborn and desperate.

Dabria: No, please. I will do anything you would ask me to do. But please don't tell my father. I will be nice from now on.

She pleaded to him but he was enjoying her pleads. It always gave him some sort of pleasure he could not have with fight or food or sex. Dominating her gave him a pleasure that was incomparable to any other pleasures in the whole world.

He scratched his chin for a minute as if he was thinking of something.

Zeus: Anything, did you say anything?

He asked her and she nodded her head instantly.

Dabria: Anything you would want me to do. I will not say anything. Please, don't ask my father to keep me into that hell for two days.

She pleaded to him but he was nowhere to melt. As if he had a rock inside his chest. Even the devil would melt down hearing her desperate pleads. As if she was suffering or suffocating.

Zeus: Why do you hate that palace in the first place? Can you not think of it as your palace and you are the princess of that palace?

He asked her and grabbed her hand. He pulled her up and made her sit onto his lap. She quickly wrapped her arms around his waist and rested his head on his bicep.

Dabria: You don't know. I hear her screaming every day and night. She does not let me sleep. The only time I don't hear her is the time when I am here with you.

She replied with a shaky voice. She started shivering in fear. She was very sensitive but Zeus never cared. He never cared how much she cared for him. He never cared if she would be wounded. He would not even care if she would be sick. Even his friends showed mercy on her but Zeus always enjoyed seeing her misery. Like it granted him some sort of strength to see her in a miserable state.

Zeus: How many times do I have to tell you? There is no one in that palace. Why do you tell me the same old stupid story every time your come here?

He asked her angrily. He was annoyed with the topic of this screaming girl she talked about almost every day she visited Kart's mansion.

Dabria: I tell you everything because I know you don't make fun of whatever I tell you. The others think that I am crazy. You know, I am not crazy. You know that, right. You know I don't lie, especially to you.

She replied to him with a shaky voice but this time she was afraid of the wolf she was with. She was hell scared of Zeus. But she just could not help. She felt herself safe around him. But she ignored every time he misbehaved with her or yelled at her or punished her. She did not even cry for ones no matter how hard punishment Zeus would decide for her. She always completed it with a smile on her face.
