The Moon and The Ocean novel Chapter 48

MOON'S POV:-

A Month Later:-

As the full moon rose again, everyone including Ocean went out. I was alone at the mansion. After that day, we never saw Vivian again. And I was thankful that we would never see her again. I never thought that sweet loving mother was actually a bitch from inside. After that day, Ma never left Ocean alone.

Ocean once asked me to take her to her uncle. She wanted to see if they were okay. We watched them from afar. Everyone was fine except for Mr Knight. He looked devastated. After every hour, he was asking about something that was missing, something that he forgot about. We both knew that his subconscious was reminding him of Ocean. But it was for everyone's sake. It was specially to keep Ocean safe. Zeus made that decision for a reason.

Ocean had started working with that dagger. For me and everyone else, it was still a piece of garbage but Ocean said it was not even made of wood. She said it was made of real pearls and it was beautifully carved. The gold dust glowed every time rays of the sun touched it.

Hellenora said it was because the dagger only shows it's true self to the people who possess the same power as a woman whose name was Eve. We never even saw Hellenora again. It was like she just disappeared. Pa said it was because her work was done when she gave The Dagger of Eve to Ocean.

Ma and pa were out because it was full moon. But Ocean was out for a hunt. Ever since I became the Alpha of the Dark Moon pack, Ocean stood by my side in every decision I took. And as she was the Luna of the Dark Moon pack, she decided to go out and check if anyone was in trouble or needed her help. Valtor took over my grandfather's territory after Zeus disappeared. All the loyal vampires came to our territory. We all welcomed them happily. Valtor also planned multiple attacks on our territory but as Vlad had said, Valtor was nothing without Vivian.

I hopped off of the couch as I sensed some strange scents in my mansion. I cursed under my breath because Ocean had told me to shut the door before she left. But I was too busy with the Sudoku I was playing that I forgot to shut the door.

Valtor: Finally, we meet. It's time for you to submit to me, pet. Your time to live freely is up.

I rolled my eyes in annoyance as I heard the lamest villain speech in my life. I turned around and found myself surrounded by almost a hundred vampires. Valtor was standing behind them all. I smirked because I knew he was afraid of the monster everyone feared.

Moon: Seriously. You could not come up with something more exciting. Dude, that's the lamest villain dialogue I have ever heard. Believe me, you are not cool.

I said in an annoyed tone and one of his baby vamps chuckled. In a blink of an eye, Valtor slit his throat and he fell on the ground.

Moon: Dude, you have got to be kidding me. Ocean will kill me if she sees this blood stain upon her favorite rug. Could you not have killed that bastard somewhere else?

I angrily asked him and he glared at me.

Valtor: You talk too much. I will make sure to cut your tongue when you will serve me. Or maybe stitching your lips would be better.

He said while scratching his chin like he was thinking of me with my lips stitched. I rolled my eyes in annoyance. He was really a boring villain. He signalled all his vampires and they all lunged themselves at me at once.

Moon: Oh fuck…

I said as they all attacked me all together. I was trying to fight them all but there was no way I could defeat them all on my own. They were too many and I was fighting the monster inside me as well. He was ready to leash out as he sensed the danger around meml. I had to keep my monster locked inside me.

OCEAN'S POV:-

I felt a sharp pain into my arm as I was running deep into the forest. I stopped by the lake and drank water to calm myself. I was not in my wolf form. I just wanted to look around if everything was fine. As the full moons were never easy for any werewolf.

Vixen: Our mate is in trouble.

I heard Vixen roaring from inside me. I gritted my teeth and let Vixen take over me. My bond cracked as I tore my clothes off of my body. Vixen leashed out and she ran in the direction of our mansion. I knew on foot I would not be able to reach the mansion as fast as Vixen could. So I allowed her to take the charge.

In a few minutes, I was standing in the backyard of the mansion. Vixen saw two guards standing on the roof of the mansion. I needed to use the roof to reach our bedroom. The dagger was inside our bedroom. Vixen growled loudly and started climbing up. In a minute, she was on the roof. The vampire guards lunged themselves at her but with a single swing of her paw, she slit their heads off. They fell on the ground and Vixen made her way to our bedroom. She entered the bedroom and let me out.

I quickly wore my clothes and grabbed the dagger. It changed its color again. It was red as blood and glowing like lava. As I knew red is the sign of danger, I understood that it was time to use the dagger. I stepped out of the bedroom only to get caught by five more vampires. I gritted my teeth as I knew I needed to defeat them before I would be able to go and help my Moon. I put the dagger under my shirt and got ready to fight them. One of them lunged at me thinking that I would be an easy target. I grabbed him by his neck and slammed him on the ground. Vixen leashed out again and cut him in half.

As one of them was dead, the others attacked us together. Vixen turned around and with her back paws she kicked them all hard, one by one. They fell on the ground and Vixen smashed their brains out of their skulls. I came back out, grabbed a curtain and wrapped it around my naked body. I grabbed the dagger that fell on the ground when Vixen came out again. Then I quietly made my way to the ground floor. I saw Moon was trying hard to fight those vampires.
