The Peremptory Casey Davies novel Chapter 43

"What? This is not good, I’m not going." Edith refused.

“Why not, he said that he has already booked the seats. Please go with me for the sake of my gluttony. By the way, he will pay for us, so it’s free.” Diana shook Diana's arm and said.

Edith didn’t know how to say no to her best friend.

"Plus, Hunter is so successful now, and he still remember you. If you go see him, maybe you two can make something happen." Diana said with a smile.

"I'm already married." Edith answered firmly. She would never think about finding another man.

“So what, Casey is so useless, he can't give you anything. Now your grandma is gone, why do you have to be with him." Diana said confusedly.

"Okay, let’s not talk about this anymore. I can go with you, but please don't mention this again." Edith said seriously.

Diana was really considering for the goodness of Edith. After all, a woman’s future happiness was determined by what kind of man she marries.

And Diana didn't think Casey could bring happiness to Edith. Of course, it was just her own thinking.

When the two were still arguing, Casey came back from shopping. Diana looked at him with disgust.

Casey was not too surprised to see Diana here. He was happy today., since Charles gave him two new watches when he was shopping.

It was the Vacheron Constantin’s new couple watch, which was made exquisite yet low-key in appearance, with a total price of 380,000. And Casey really liked them.

Most importantly, he was very happy when he thought of wearing a couple watch with Edith.

He originally planned to give the watch to Edith directly, but since Diana was also here, he didn't take it out.

Seeing that Casey had returned, Edith requested, "I can go to dinner with you, but I want to bring Casey with me."

Diana widened her eyes, and she said with disbelief, "Are you crazy, we are going to eat with Hunter, and you want to bring Casey?"

“Yes. Okay, I'll go dress up, wait for me here." Edith stood up without hesitation.

She looked at Casey and said, "Come to dinner with me later."

Casey nodded obediently. He would try his best to fulfill all of Edith’s requirements.

Diana glanced at Casey and felt sorry for Edith. This guy was just a coward and he was not comparable to Hunter at all.

It didn't take long for Edith to dress up. They left the house soon.

On their way, Casey also learned that they were going to eat with Edith's class president at university.

He had heard Edith mention this class president who went after Edith in college.

Now that Hunter suddenly invited Edith to dinner, Casey knew already what he was planning.

So Casey was moved to see that Edith was willing to bring him along, which meant that Edith had already regarded him as her partner sincerely.

In this case, he would present the watch to Edith in front of Hunter. He must let people know that Edith was his wife.

“We are going to see my class president in college, who is now the manager of the C.S. branch Company. When you see him, just stay quiet, do you hear me?" Diana said with an impatient tone.

"Oh, I see." Casey answered casually.

Things were getting more interesting for Casey when he heard that Hunter was the manager of the branch C.S. Company.

Diana would never understand why Casey laughed in this situation.

The three left the community and took a taxi to place booked by Hunter. …

Inside the Harue Restaurant, Hunter was sitting at the table.

He was holding a beautifully packaged watch box, in which an exquisite watch for ladies was put.

Cartier blue balloon, worth more than 40,000, and it cost Hunter a month's salary.

He bought this watch for Edith of course.

He knew that she was married, but everyone, including Hunter, knew that Casey was just a useless coward.

Through his acquaintances, he also learned that Edith was married to Casey because of the order from Stella Martin, the old hostess of the Patel family. Now that Stella Martin was gone, Edith could totally get rid of Casey.

Hunter was aware of women's material desire, and in the past few years, Edith had been through a hard time after marrying Casey.

Now Hunter was a manager of the C.S. branch Company, with a high salary every year. His level was already among the top of his classmates.

So he felt confident that as long as he gave this watch to Edith, she would understand what he meant and they could make something happen.

“Casey Davies, a notorious trash, you are not qualified to compare with me, Edith will be mine sooner or later."

Hunter sneered in his heart, looking down on Casey.

Soon, Casey and the girls arrived at the Harue Restaurant. The three of them walked in together, and Diana saw Hunter at a glance.

She waved at him and walked over there.

"Hunter, sorry to have you wait for such a long time." Diana apologized with a smile.

“It’s fine, I am not busy today. It is my honor to wait for you two." Hunter said politely.

Edith nodded at Hunter politely and said, “Long time no see."

Hunter also nodded and then his eyes landed on Casey.

“Who is this?" Hunter asked.

“Oh, this is Casey. You must have heard of him. I didn't want him to come, but Edith insisted.” Diana answered his question before Edith had the chance to introduce.

Hunter didn’t expect Edith to bring Casey along with her.

However, he didn't show his contempt, and stretched out his hand to Casey.

“Nice to meet you, Casey. I am Hunter Powell. I have heard of your name in J City a long time ago, but never get the chance to meet you in person.

Hunter's was being sarcastic.

Casey reached out his hand calmly and said one words simply, “Hi."

Hunter sneered in his heart and was about to see whether Casey was as coward as everyone said.

He had been working out recently, so his grasp was twice the strength of a normal person.

He grabbed Casey's hand with all his strength, trying to make Casey suffer.

Unexpectedly, the moment he exerted his force, a much stronger force rebounded from Casey’s hand, grabbing him tightly.
