The Peremptory Casey Davies novel Chapter 44

Hunter's eyes widened, an awkward smile appeared on his face, and then he tried to free his hand from Casey.

But to his surprise, instead of letting go, Casey’s grasp was getting more powerful.

Wasn’t he a useless person? How come he’s so strong? I had been working out a lot lately. I was even stronger than the coaches.

Hunter was astonished at first. And then he exerted more strength, trying to make Casey suffer.

However, no matter how hard he tried, Casey had no reaction at all. Instead, Hunter felt more and more painful.

Hunter sweated on his forehead. His hand was so painful that he couldn't use any strength, but he had to bare it and pretend to be fine.

It would be really embarrassing if Diana and Edith noticed that he was much weaker than a useless man.

Casey sneered in his heart. He had already foreseen that Hunter would try to embarrass him. Unfortunately, he wouldn’t give Hunter such a chance.

“What’s wrong with you two? Why are you still holding each other’s hand?” Diana asked strangely.

"Yeah, Casey, you are too excited, my hand will be broken if you keep holding it.” Hunter seized this opportunity and said quickly.

Casey let go of his hand and sat next to Edith.

Hunter sighed in relief. His hand had been bruised, which was due to Casey’s strong grip.

If Casey continued to hold his hand, his hand might be indeed broken.

Hunter didn't his bruised hand from Diana and Edith. He handed over the menu to them and quickly massaged his hand while Diana was ordering food.

That was strange. How was he so strong? Hunter had decided to teach Casey a lesson and let him see their gap today.

Hunter cursed in his mind, thinking that he must find a chance to avenge.

"Everyone says that Casey is a useless man in J City. This is the first time I met him, and he doesn’t seem useless.” Hunter pretended to speak calmly.

"Then you really overestimate him, he is a completely useless man, he dare not say anything even if I call him useless." Diana said casually while playing on the phone.

"Diana!" Edith was angry.

Diana stuck out her tongue at Edith and stopped talking.

Hunter thought Casey probably worked a lot at home every day, which was why he got so strong, other than that, Casey was useless.

Hunter laughed and said, "I am sorry for speaking so frankly. What I said just now seems to be inappropriate. I hope you don't mind."

Casey glanced at him and said coldly, "You have low EQ, I don't blame you."

Hunter was stunned right away. Diana and Edith almost laughed out loud because of what Casey just said.

Originally he wanted to show that he humiliated Casey intentionally, leaving the latter with no chance to argue.

Unexpectedly, Casey would directly call him to be low EQ, which made him speechless.

"Well." Hunter coughed awkwardly. “Casey you are so humorous."

Edith turned her head and smiled at Casey. She suddenly felt that Hunter was right. Casey was indeed very humorous.

"Edith, see if there are any dishes you want to order. The Hunan dishes here are particularly good." Hunter chose to ignore Casey, and turned to Edith.

Edith smiled and said politely, “I am good with anything, let Diana choose for me.”

“You are still the same after all these years." Hunter said with a smile.

After that, he handed the menu to Casey and said, “What about you? What would you like to eat? It is not easy to book a table at the sixth floor of the Harue Restaurant. I bet you barely have the chance to eat at this place. Try to eat as much as you can.”

Hunter said this just to show off that the Harue Restaurant was too expensive for a loser like Casey to dine at. He must be scared to death by the price of the dishes here.

Casey only thought that Hunter was really annoying, but since the latter asked him to order, he wouldn’t refuse.

"Are you paying?" Casey asked.

“Of course. You must be using Edith’s money all the time, it would be unrealistic to have you pay.” Hunter said this deliberately.

Casey sneered and then said to the waiter, "Except for this fish, I would like to order every single dish on this page, and also the ones on the next page. All of them. Then two bottles of classic red wine. I will call you when we need anything else."

Everyone was shocked by the way Casey ordered food. The waiter also opened his mouth wide. It was the first time he ran into someone who ordered so many dishes.

Diana and Edith also stared at Casey in shock. Diana was embarrassed by Casey. It felt like this man had been starving for many years.

But Edith felt that Casey did this on purpose. He wanted to fool Hunter.

Hunter glanced at the dishes that Casey just ordered. It added up to two thousand yuan.

But it was still acceptable, which made him reassure himself that Casey was a poor loser who hadn't eaten anything good.

His contempt for Casey became more intense, and he felt that Casey was no match to him at all. Edith would definitely not like such a man.

It didn't take long for the dishes to be presented on the table, which was filled with large and small plates.

Hunter poured the wine, and offered a glass to Diana and Edith respectively, but skipped Casey.

Casey didn't care either, eating by himself.

Diana wanted to embarrassed Casey more, so she asked, “Hunter, why did you skip Casey."

Hunter pretended to recall such a thing, quickly picking up the wine glass, and said, “My poor memory! I forgot that Casey is still here. If you don’t remind me, I wouldn’t have noticed him at all.”

Diana chuckled and turned to Casey, wondering how he would deal with the embarrassment.

After all, being ignored by others was very embarrassing. If Diana was the person to be ignored, she would have already lost her appetite.

Casey was as calm as ever. He raised his head and glanced at Hunter, but he simply took a sip of the wine and said, "It's okay. Your brain and your eyes malfunction so often, I don't blame you.”
