The Peremptory Casey Davies novel Chapter 56

The crowd immediately quieted down, and the word “invoice” directly suppressed their ferocious appearance.

That day, Charles dispatched someone to send the watch to Casey Davies, and also gave him the invoice. After Casey got the invoice, he forgot to put it at home and carried it with him.

He didn't expect it to come in use today.

Diana glanced at the invoice which was at the table in front of Casey. She still didn’t believe that it was true, reached out and had a look at it.

The girl who knew the brand, Vacheron Constantin, also looked over and stared in amazement, saying, "This invoice is true."

All the people exclaimed, looking at Casey in disbelief. They all felt it was something they couldn't believe.

"Did he really buy this watch himself?"

"Isn’t Casey a man who relies on women? How could he have so much money?"

"Wow, a sixty thousand-dollar watch, I'm afraid I won't receive such an expensive gift in my life."

Even if they were still skeptical, the invoice was true. None of these people had any reason to suspect that the watch was stolen by Casey.

Hunter thought this matter would make Casey lose all standing and reputation, let Edith realize that Casey was a man on the sly.

He had never expected that Casey would come with the invoice. However, on one would think Casey were ill-mannered now, they would only regard him as a rich man.

Hunter was so angry that he clenched his fists and thought, "Casey is really odd, carrying an invoice everywhere. Does he always want to show off? He’s really a rube!"

Edith saw Casey take out the invoice to prove himself, signed with relief. She believed Casey wouldn’t steal anything, but only the assertive evidence could shut others up. Fortunately, Casey had the invoice with him.

Diana thought Casey’s watch was fake, did not expect it was a watch of Vacheron Constantin, which worth sixty thousand dollars. She was also surprised.

But according to her prejudice against Casey, she could not admit that Casey could afford such an expensive watch. She thought that only her Prince Charming had the ability to buy it.

"Well, you have an invoice, so what? You must gain the money by either hiding it or cheating Edith. It seems that you are not ashamed of that at all." Diana said dismissively.

People at the table nodded in agreement with Diana.

"That’s it. Casey is a waste. How can he afford such an expensive watch? He must have gotten the money from Edith."

"Edith is really pathetic, meets such a shameless man who even cheat her out of money to buy a watch."

"This kind of person is really abominable. As a kept man, he also tried his best to gain money from women. How brazen he is!"

……

Edith felt angry when heard these people's comments. She didn’t understand why those people didn’t believe that Casey bought this watch on his own.

She wanted to plead for Casey. But he turned his head and glanced at her, smiled and motioned her not to do so.

Casey was also helpless as those people didn’t believe him. But he knew it was difficult for people to admit a man who they regarded as a waster was very capable.

If he was still anxious about what they said, he could only have endless quarrels with these people in the past few years, and wouldn’t establish TY Group.

Hunter heard what people said also thought the money that Casey used to by that watch was likely from Edith.

Even if it wasn't, it must be his private money that he had saved for many years.

Hunter thought, "As Casey was a waste, he couldn’t have too much private money. Therefore, he only has little money after buying this watch." Hunter wanted to play a trick on him.

He glanced at everyone, then smiled and said, "Don't say so, it may be true that Casey earn the money by himself. Casey, as you can afford such an expensive watch, you must have a lot of money, right?"

"I have some." Casey replied.

Hunter sneered, and he didn’t expect that Casey would be taken in so easily.

"How shameless he is! Hunter gave him an out, but he even struts his stuff more." Diana said in a contemptuous tone.

Others also felt that Casey was shameless who bloomed after being flattered.

"Casey, it seems that you are very rich. In fact, I didn’t think that you would come, so I don’t have enough money. Since you are so rich, can afford to buy a watch of Vacheron Constantin, can you share a part of the bills? Then let's go to karaoke, I'll pay for it, OK?" Hunter said.

Casey replied indifferently, "OK, let’s spilt the bill"

Hunter almost did not hold back to laugh out, he thought, "Casey is so silly that he not only agrees with what I said, but also wants to split the bill with me. He may not know how much it will cost to have a meal here. "

"Now as you have agreed, today I will let you understand that the consumption of high-end hotels is not the one you can afford. When the time comes to check out and you don’t have enough money, I’ll pay it. As a result, Edith will certainly be disappointed in you, and turn to my arms." Hunter muttered.

"He’s really hopeless, dares to split the bill with monitor. I’m waiting to see what excuse he will make for his lack of money."

"He’s crazy, doesn’t he know himself well? He even wants to pay half of the bill. Does he think he can be compared to the monitor?"

"Who cares? Anyway, it’s him who will be ashamed if he doesn’t have enough money."

"Poor Edith. He may have designs on Edith. When he hasn’t got enough money, he will certainly ask Edith to pay for him. How unlucky Edith is, has a such husband!"

……

Casey naturally understood what Hunter thought about, so he proposed to split the bill. As Hunter wanted to see him lose face, he didn’t care to let Hunter know the feeling of going bankrupt.

Hunter handed the menu to Casey and wanted to see if he would regret after knowing the price of the food here.

"Since you will pay half the bill, please order what you like first."

Casey took over the menu, glanced at the menu, and asked, "Are you sure you want me to order?"

Hunter thought Casey was scared by those prices, sneered and said, "Yes, don’t worry about the money, I will pay half of it. We should let others enjoy themselves, right?"

"All right." After hearing what Hunter said, Casey immediately turned up the menu.

He glanced at the waiter and said, "Now, I’ll order food."

"There are more than ten people here. So first, ten pounds of Australian lobster at 85 dollars a pound."

"And give everyone a seventy-dollar caviar."

"Royal abalone soup, let's have five first."

"This one, this one, and one more…..."
