The Peremptory Casey Davies novel Chapter 67

Both Remi and her husband were shocked with their mouths wide open. They seemed to encounter something incredible.

"What did you just say? Your car costs you more than one million?" Her husband shouted surprisingly.

Their son, Brian, nodded to confirm.

Amara and Nicolas were both stunned. They turned to look at Casey.

"How could it be possible that this car is worth more than one million? We can’t get one million even if we sold our house!" Remi said with disbelief.

Nicolas then opened the door of the car and saw the receipt. He took it to have a look, where there was written with "1,220,000". His heart almost skipped a beat.

"It’s true. It was all written on the receipt." Nicolas said.

Remi and her husband hurried to have a look. They were all too shocked to utter when they confirmed the number.

They both didn’t think Casey could afford a car. But he drove a car worth more than one million here and there was even a receipt as proof.

Remi soon softened her hostile attitude. This limousine was even more expensive than her own house.

"Amara, you do have an excellent son-in-law! He could even afford such a limousine! It’s so enviable!" Remi started to envy Amara with another attitude.

Amara was also satisfied. She didn’t expect that Casey really drove such a limousine worth more than one million.

But she still didn’t believe that it was Casey who paid all the money. Perhaps Edith also paid part of the money or Francis rewarded her a sizeable amount of money for her excellent contribution to the company.

‘Well, that should be the case.’ Amara confirmed her own assumption.

"Remi, stop kidding. How could he afford such a luxurious limousine? It must be Edith. She did an excellent work in the company and then she got a reward. So they could manage to afford the limousine." Amara explained.

"Oh, I see. What a good girl, Edith!" Remi said enviously.

"Mom, the car was…" Edith wanted to explain that it was Casey who afforded the car on his own. She didn’t get any reward actually.

"Okay girl, just let me see this car. We could talk a bit later."

Amara turned to see the car and ignored her daughter.

"Amara, I am going back home now." Remi said to her.

"Okay. Oh, by the way, you can go to experience our new car." Amara said happily.

Remi and her family went back to their house awkwardly. They were really defeated in this competition.

When they left, Amara turned to look at Casey, "Well, you took my daughter’s honor this time and you did save our face in front of Remi. But don’t be complacent about it. I don’t think you can afford this car."

Casey was rendered speechless. It seemed that Amara still suspected his capability.

"Okay, give me the key." Amara required.

Casey handed her the key. Amara said to her husband. "Keep the key. Don’t let him drive this limousine."

Nicolas nodded, "You are right. He shouldn’t drive this limousine. Let me try it first."

"Mom, why can’t you let him drive the car? It was him…" Edith was aggrieved for her mom’s harsh word.

"Well, girl, you should know this car worth more than one million. I don’t even bear to see what if the car grazed a bit. How could we let such a shiftless man drive this car?" Amara refuted.

Edith was driven mad by her mom. What an unreasonable one!

Casey held Edith on her shoulders and smiled, "It’s okay since they are happy with it."

"But it was you who bought this car!" Edith huffed.

"It doesn’t matter whoever bought the car. Besides, I bought this car for you to commute. It doesn’t matter to me if I can drive it." Casey answered with a smile.

Edith sighed. She felt she owned him really much.

Both Nicolas and Amara got into the car with great delight.

"Girl, why don’t you hop in? What a limousine! It feels so comfortable." Amara exclaimed.

Edith rolled her eyes at her mom, "No. Just enjoy yourself."

Then she grabbed Casey’s hands and went upstairs.

It was actually the first time that Edith took the initiative to take his hand. For Casey, he would be even willing to afford a hundred limousines like that if he could enjoy such a chance to take her hand.

After all, he had endless money. But the chance was limited to hold her hand.

"Casey, let me treat you a dinner." Edith said.

Edith was stunned. But soon he replied with a smile, "Okay, since my dream lover wanted to treat me a dinner. Of course I couldn’t miss the chance."

Edith roller her eyes at him, "Wait a second. I can’t afford expensive food. I can only treat you a normal meal."

"It’s okay. For me, it all tastes the best whatever you treat me as meal." Casey smiled.

Upon hearing that, Edith’s face blushed. She was a bit moved to hear that.

"Humph, stop your glib tongue." Edith murmured and then went upstairs.

Meanwhile, Hunter and Black Wolf were sitting together in a private box of a karaoke club in the J City.

Black Wolf’s face was still swollen. But he looked better than yesterday.

Hunter’s face was also black and blue all over. They sat together as they had just been through something terrible.

But Black Wolf was punched by Casey while Hunter was beaten by Black Wolf.

After the gathering yesterday, Hunter was stopped by Black Wolf when he was about to leave.

Hunter was scared as he thought Black Wolf was about to retaliate against him. However, he didn’t expect that Black Wolf stood up from the ground and suggested him to cooperate.

"Fuck! If I hadn’t drunk the adulterated wine yesterday, I wouldn’t have been beaten up by Casey that bastard!" Black Wolf huffed after taking a gulp of the wine.

He had been insisting that he was defeated by Casey because of the adulterated wine he took.

Hunter took some wine and echoed, "You are right! Everyone in the city knows that Casey is a fucking pussy. How could he be your match?! But I had no idea how he stole that money and even dared to go Dutch on meal with us."

Hunter also disdained Casey and hated him so much. He could never admit that he couldn’t even deal with such a jerk.

At a second thought, he did have no idea how to retaliate against Casey. So he promised to cooperate with Black Wolf.

Hunter still deemed himself a gentleman, so he didn’t want to do some dirty tricks. Nor did he dare to do so. But for Black Wolf himself, he would try all means to achieve his goal whatever what kind of dirty tricks would be needed.

Hunter was sure that Casey would end up miserably as long as Black Wolf started his retaliation.

"Black Wolf, but I want to know what kind of trick you are going to play to deal with Casey." Hunter asked.

"He is just a good-for-nothing guy. It’s quite easy to retaliate against him. I came to you not because of Casey, but his wife." Black Wolf answered with an evil smile.

Hunter was stunned, "What do you mean?"

"If I was not mistaken, you should also be infatuated with his wife, right? If you promise to do me a favor, I could make you get what you want from Edith and then I would smash his nuts!" Black Wolf squinted while speaking angrily.

Hunter was delighted with his eyes glistering. He didn’t expect that Black Wolf could help him get Edith. And he was indeed infatuated with her. For him, it was a tempting offer.

"Are you serious?" Hunter asked.

"Of course! I have been a man of my words. But well, I need something as return if I need to get Edith on your bed." Black Wolf let out a lustful smile.

"What return?" Hunter asked.

"Everyone knows Edith is the most ravishing beauty in J City. Though she married that asshole Casey, I don’t think he has ever banged her. So when I destroyed that bastard, I need to take her virginity as return."

Hunter was stunned. He didn’t expect that was the return he wanted.

"But Edith will definitely retaliate against you if you take her virginity." Hunter said.

"Don’t worry. There are a lot of drugs that could totally intoxicate her and she will be out of consciousness. I promise she would know nothing then as long as I have your words."

Hunter hesitated. Of course he wanted her virginity. But if Black Wolf refused to deal with Casey first, he wouldn’t have the chance to get Edith.

‘Goddamn it. Just forget her virginity. I can ask for more as much as I want after I make her mine!’ Hunter murmured to himself.

"Okay, I promise!" Hunter agreed.

Seeing him agree, Black Wolf smiled and stood up, "Let’s go. I will show you a place. I need a few men to deal with that bastard. Remember, don’t say anything when we are there."

Hunter nodded.

The two got out of the karaoke club and took a taxi to Starry Night Club.

Black Wolf entered with Hunter. Soon, someone appeared. It was Morgan.

"Black Wolf, why are you here? Did you get beaten out of shit? Look at your swollen face, huh!" Morgan teased.

"Morgan, that’s a long and humiliating story. I am here to ask you for a few men. I need to retaliate against a bastard!" Black Wolf said.

"No problem. Wait here. I am going to get you some tough guys." Morgan agreed immediately.
