Though his tone was steady and calm, there was a deep and unmistakable tenderness in it. He gently bent over and kissed Nicole's long hair, full of affection.

After Nicole left the villa, Kerr went into the study. After seeing the documents sent by Jared and noticing the news in them by chance, his first thought was that someone would try to slander Nicole.

There was a long moment of silence in the meeting room. Even Mr. Liang, who had spoken so confidently just a moment before, kept perfectly quiet.

Everyone was relieved when the meeting ended.

When Kerr took Nicole by the hand and led her back to the office, he turned around and closed the door. With his arm around her waist, he asked her gently, "Are you tired?"
