The little girl saw her mother at first sight, and her eyes sparkled with surprise. However, when Chloe looked around, she did not see Joseph. Thus, she subconsciously asked, “Where is Dad?” Paige was rather emotional. The moment she heard Chloe’s question, her tears suddenly fell. At the sight of her mother crying, Chloe pouted her lips and burst into tears as well. “Mom, I want Dad… I want Dad…” Although she was young, she was intelligent. Looking at Paige’s expression, she could already imagine bad things happening to her father. Actually, she did not know what had happened in the latter half of the night. All she could remember was the scene when Joseph appeared in front of her. Chloe was an innocent child with simple needs, so she was eager to be with her family. Recalling how Joseph was surrounded by hundreds of men before she left, Paige could not even lie to herself. “Chloe, be a good girl. Your father is busy now, but he will come here soon.” While Chloe was young, she was definitely not easily fooled. Then, she pouted her lips. “You’re lying… Dad must have gone to fight the bad guys… He definitely won’t come back… I want Dad…” Tears began to fall from her eyes. Paige’s heart trembled. I can assure you that he will come back to you in two or three days at most!” “Really?” Chloe asked. “I never lie. Besides, you’re such a smart girl, so I can’t deceive you.” Chloe seemed hopeful once again. “Are you really my father’s subordinate? Will he come back for me? Will he abandon my mother and Chloe like before?” Alpha 1 and Paige’s hearts trembled. “Mister, can you tell Dad? I’m an obedient girl. I won’t be naughty and stir up trouble for him…” Alpha 1 did not expect that such words would come from a child who was less than five years old at the time. Alpha l nodded. “I will tell him. I swear that he will come back for sure!” Chloe finally believed him. Although Alpha I was not good at telling stories, Chloe kept asking him about Joseph. Thus, Alpha l had no choice but to try his best to give her a better impression of Joseph. When Chloe was tired, she finally fell asleep. Standing downstairs, Alpha 1 smoked with coldness in his eyes. “You’re lying to Chloe, aren’t you?” Paige walked out with both gratitude and bitterness on her face. “Thank you… At least Chloe now believes in her father.” “If he is still alive, make sure that he leaves Apren City. Make sure that he leaves Frogua and never come back…” Alpha 1 stubbed off the cigarette butt and said earnestly, “Mrs. Dawson, please trust me.
