The Supreme God novel Chapter 53

At the same time, the Grand Desolation Mountain turned into a battleground for this fierce fight.

A dark, boundless forest surrounded the mighty mountain.

An enormous ape bathed in red fire trod the forest with his face towards the sky.

It was impossible to describe just how huge he was. The dreadful aura emanating from him was suffocating.

Strong and powerful as he was there were wounds all over his body.

The flesh on his body was lacerated, and he was bleeding. You could even see some of his bones through the exposed flesh.

Blood poured out of the wounds and formed a river beneath him.

A giant black bird was perched on a hilltop nearby.

He glared at the huge ape with his deep, green eyes and spoke like a human.

"Ape, why are you prolonging your suffering? Give me the treasure and you can escape death. Why do you want to lose your life because of a treasure that you don't know how to use?" he reasoned.

The huge ape stared menacingly at the black bird, his large eyes failing to conceal his murderous intent.

Because it was this black bird who had caused some of the grave wounds on his battered body.

"Huh? Do you take me for a fool? Any treasure from the fairy tomb can shake the world. How can it be useless? You are afraid that I will be more powerful than all of you and rule this mountain once I get the treasure," claimed the enraged ape.

Suddenly, two bright, red lights aimed right at the black bird shot out from his golden eyes.

When these lights flashed, everything evaporated and turned to nothing, and even the atmosphere changed.

"You are so stubborn, ape. We shall see how far you can persist," challenged the black bird.

He flapped his wings, churning up a dark fog, and an overwhelming black light began to spread from his body.

The evil black light slowly engulfed everything until even the heavens turned dark.

Slowly the black light transformed into an illusory black bird so huge that it filled up the entire sky. This surreal bird raced to the two red lights.

Bang! The illusory black bird collided with the two red lights.

Countless mountains collapsed below.

The earth burst open and the ground broke into hundreds of massive cracks, which spread like a spider's web.

The boundless forest was destroyed by this terrible clash.

Birds and beasts were rooted to the spot in shock. They didn't try to escape hoping they would be lucky and not get caught in the crossfire. But they turned to dust.

"Lion, Flood Dragon, the treasure is hidden in the ape's body. Don't wait any longer. Help me kill the ape before it is too late!" exclaimed the black bird.

The giant black bird knew that although the huge ape was seriously injured, he would still put up a fight.

"Roar!"

A thunderous boom resounded in the sky, and a ginormous lion, seventy or eighty meters long, appeared mid-air.

The ferocious lion's head was enveloped in a purple flame with a dazzling light.

"Agree!" came another reply.

The wind stopped and the dark, rolling clouds parted.

A gigantic green flood dragon appeared in the sky.

He had the blood of an ancient dragon in his body and that made him ever so powerful.

"Haha! Good. I can't believe that the three of you are willing to join hands. But if you want the treasure, you have to show your real strength. Beware! I will burn this treasure to dust with the Samadhi Fire," he warned.

The huge ape mocked them, tossing the treasure up and down in the brilliant white light daring them to come and take it from him.

The trio saw the treasure and their eyes shone greedily.

They knew that it was from the fairy tomb judging by its scent.

These mighty animals attached great importance to anything that came from the fairy tomb.

It could give them great strength, but, more importantly, it could reveal the secret of how to become the emperor or the fairy—a secret kept hidden for centuries.

Every time something came out of the fairy tomb, it would cause a fierce battle.

"Do you think you can burn the treasures from the fairy tomb so easily, you arrogant ape? Don't brag."

Enraged, the black bird flapped his wings to attack.

The black light poured towards the huge ape quickly like the flood.

For a second, darkness engulfed the sky as if night fell. At that moment, it was so dark that one couldn't see his fingers in front of his face.

The huge ape snorted and the treasure got absorbed into his body covered with red fur.

He howled, and a red flame rose from his huge body to the sky, blazing a trail through the dark light released by the black bird.

Wielding a club so big, able to smash the heavens to smithereens, the huge ape struck the black bird with a hefty blow.

Eager to escape the ape's wrath, the black bird flapped his wings and flew up.

The sturdy club missed the bird and shattered the hilltop where the black bird had landed. The upper chunk of the mountain came crumbling down with a massive thud.

Meanwhile the green flood dragon and the lion tried to restrain and bring down the huge ape with all their might.

But despite the relentless attack by the three powerful animals, the huge ape didn't falter, not even for a minute.

He came from a belligerent race and would not surrender. He waved his weapon wildly and continued to rain blows on his opponents.

What would happen when four of the most powerful animals fought? The mountains and rivers suffered.

Miles and miles of land was destroyed, forming countless ravines all around.

All the beasts and birds scrambled frantically to safety.

The huge ape fought alone and hard against the terrible trio. All the odds were stacked against him.

Bloodied with the repeated attacks and finally succumbing to his injuries, he was no longer able to hold them back.

At last, the three powerful animals beat him with one simultaneous blow.

Bang! The huge ape's belly was ripped to pieces, and only a small part of flesh and blood remained.

The ravaged flesh and spurting blood turned the sky red.

The huge ape knew that he was losing this fight and would not make it.

But the great ape was unwilling to die in this way. Gritting his teeth, he made a decision.

He started to burn a large quantity of his pure blood.

As the blood in his body burned, the ape's terrifying breath weakened instantly.

His towering huge body shrank unexpectedly.

It continued to shrink until he turned into a mini monkey. He was so small that he could stand in a human's palm.

The burnt blood now turned into a strong, red air mass, wrapping tightly around the mini monkey.

It all happened in an instant.

The giant black bird was petrified at first but he quickly came to his senses.

"Damn it. The monkey is going to run away. Stop him quickly," he said, panicking.

No sooner had he uttered these words than the red air mass melted into the bright red light.

It flew ten thousand miles away at a horribly high speed.

The three powerful animals were stunned.

The huge ape had risked his life to perform an extremely dangerous magic in order to flee.

'It seems the monkey doesn't want to be alive, ' they mused. "Don't let him go!"

The black bird flapped his wings and cast a spell of his own.

Turning himself into a black light he chased the monkey at high speed.

The green flood dragon and the large lion also muttered secret incantations and turned into two lights.

They chased the red air mass so fast that it was all just a blur in the sky.

Austin watched the entire battle in the sky from the depths of the Grand Desolation Mountain.

After about four hours, the clash ended. The angry sky gradually calmed.

Still reeling from this encounter, Austin was filled with emotion, his blood boiling.

"I, too, will have such powerful strength someday and join such a fierce battle," he vowed.

He was charged with this idea buzzing inside his head for a long time before he finally calmed down.

"I'm going to toughen myself and become more powerful!"

Austin made a decision immediately.
