The Supreme God novel Chapter 221

Are you... sure you want to buy all these medicinal pills and herbs? These will cost you a lot. We offer quality materials so they were all expensive, The clerk swallowed hard and asked cautiously as he confirmed if he heard Austin right.

"Yes," Austin quickly replied.

The clerk was surprised because every item on the list cost more than ten thousand vital energy crystals. Another thing that fired up the clerk's curiosity was the two items that he didn't know. This was the first time he had heard about these and he swore he never saw any of these two items before.

And in front of him was a differently dressed person who wanted to place such a big order. It took him a while before he realized what he had to handle.

The clerk paused and swallowed hard. He looked at Austin with awe as he was amazed how rich this man was.

"Dear sir, the items listed here are very expensive and rare. Please give me enough time as I will check with our shopkeeper, and see if we have all that you need."

The clerk respectfully said to Austin as he was walking away to look for the shopkeeper. Austin nodded.

Then the clerk rushed to the back of the hall immediately. Austin was left at the counter and wondered about his further plans.

After a short while, the clerk came back.

"Sir, may I ask you to go to the back room of the hall to talk with our shopkeeper?" the clerk asked politely.

Austin took the list back to his pocket and nodded before he followed the clerk.

After they took a few steps, they entered a room in ancient style. It had elegant yet delicate decorations. Austin's eyes were pleased. His nose sensed the smell of the herbs. It soothed his nostrils and made him feel relaxed.

A skinny old man warmly greeted Austin.

The old man was also surprised after he scanned the items on the list.

"Sir, may I ask what you need these for?"

Austin did not talk for a moment. Then with a disgusted tone he spoke, "Do I need a reason to buy things from the shop?"

"Oh sir, of course not. Don't take it seriously. I didn't mean it. Please forgive me if I offended you."

The old man said with an embarrassing smile.

"Dear sir, I regret to inform you that we do not have all the medicinal pills and herbs on this list. And we feel obliged to tell you that the total price of these medicinal pills and herbs is about one million vital energy crystals."

Austin widely opened his arms. A bunch of vital energy crystals crashed to the table.

Those crystals summed up to exactly one million vital energy crystals.

"I appreciate what you have told me. But don't worry about money. It is never a concern for me. Just give me what I need," Austin said with clear displeasure in his tone.

"But if you really don't have what I want, then don't waste my time. I'd better go to other places to find them."

Austin said and stood up. He immediately gathered the vital energy crystals on the table, pretending to leave.

"Wait, sir! Don't rush. I have something to say."

Austin paused and looked at the old man to listen.

"You might think I'm bragging, but it's true that my shop is the largest pill store in the Peace Town. We offer the most complete range of medicinal pills and herbs. If we don't have what you are looking for, then you can't find them anywhere else in the Peace Town.

Please give me some time. If you'll trust me, I can help you to gather all the things in your list.

To tell you honestly, I am a level three pill refiner, and a director of the pill refiners association in the Violet Orchid Empire. It would be very easy for me to get all the things you want through my connections.

But sir, if you want my help, you have to pay an extra fifty thousand vital energy crystals as a reward for my help. What do you think?"

"Are you a pill refiner?" Austin asked.

He was surprised. It was the first time that he had met a pill refiner. Violet Orchid Empire was known to have great demand for the best pill refiners. It was a noble profession and pill refiners were much sought after among sects, royal families and aristocrats.

Austin didn't expect that the ordinary-looking old man in front of him turned out to be a level three pill refiner. Austin couldn't help but gaze at him with admiration.

Fifty thousand vital energy crystals as a reward?

Austin kept thinking. The old man was asking for more money. He couldn't help but weigh things through.

But the old man looked sincere. He didn't seem like to be lying.

According to the old man, no other shop was able to offer the full range of products on his list. If Austin wanted to pursue his practice, he needed to trust him.

He was ready to spend one million on the purchase, and he didn't bother to spend another fifty thousand. He bit his lower lip and made up his mind.

He nodded and said, "Okay. Please help me to prepare these things. I am willing to pay fifty thousand for your help. I have no choice but to trust you. By the way, how long will it take for you to prepare all this? I need them as soon as possible."

"Sir, please give me fifteen days. That's the soonest I could promise. It seems to be a long time but if you'll wait, you can get everything that you need. Will that be okay with you?" the old man replied.

"Okay. I'll give you ten thousand as deposit. Is that a deal?" said Austin as he handed the vital energy crystals.

"Yes, sir. It's a deal. Please come back to us fifteen days later and I assure you that I'll have everything ready."
