The ghosts were not that strong, and Austin wiped them out effortlessly. This, however, got the attention of the four people trapped in the array. They immediately spotted Austin and Violet.

The four startled people looked at the two with a frown. Austin grew embarrassed.

There were two women and two men.

Suspicion was shown visibly on their faces. They wondered what Austin and Violet had been up to hiding there. They were clearly annoyed at the fact that they had been trapped for quite a while, but the two delinquents did not even bother to lend a hand. This led them to believe that the two were up to no good. The two were probably planning to do something to them after they broke the array. Staying alert, they stopped attacking the array and carefully watched the two.

After discussing amongst themselves, one of the two women gave Austin an enchanting smile and waved. "Hello there! Would you mind coming over here?"

The other woman also flashed a charming smile.

With his spiritual sense, Austin already knew what they talked about.

The four planned to coax Austin and Violet into coming closer by using the two women's beauty. Then, they would ask the two what they desired, and would promise to give it to them if the two helped them out. After escaping the array, however, they planned to break their promise and deal with Austin and Violet accordingly.

The two men, on the other hand, were clearly enamored by Violet. They gazed at her with lust and laughed lewdly.

Austin knew that they were not to be trusted.

He snorted inwardly and thought, 'I didn't plan to fight you guys, but you are asking for it by plotting against me and Violet. Well, I am here to grant your death wish.'

The four had relatively low cultivation base compared to Austin. Dealing with them would be a piece of cake. For now, he decided to play along.

After they exposed their true colors, Austin would kill them one by one. After all, three of them were from the Flaming Sun Valley.

Because of Raymond and Dwayne, Austin detested the Flaming Sun Valley, and he wouldn't hesitate to kill the members of the sect.

Austin telepathically shared his plans with Violet.

Pretending to be enchanted by the woman who spoke, Austin trotted towards her and greeted her, "Hi, beautiful lady."

The woman covered her mouth with her hand and giggled while winking at him. "Hi, mister. Is this your girlfriend?" she asked, pointing at Violet. Then, she continued, "To tell you the truth, I think I've fallen for you at first sight. It's normal for a man to have mistresses, right?

Besides, you must be used to it. Surely, many girls have fallen for a powerful man like you. Unfortunately, I'm no exception."

This was the first time she and Austin had met. Yet, she acted completely lovestruck, submitting herself immediately to be his mistress. She was quite confident that her looks would sway Austin.

"Really? You must be kidding me," Austin stammered.

Excitement was written all over his face as he stole glances at the women. His cheeks flushed.

The woman smiled, glad that Austin seemed to have fallen into her trap. 'This is easier than I thought. This guy is so easy to manipulate. Hah! No man can resist my charm, ' she thought to herself, proud as a peacock.

"Why? Not at all. I mean it, I like you. If you like me too, then I will love to be with you. But well, I was wondering if you would even ever fall for me since you already have such a beautiful girlfriend..."

the woman said as she lowered her head and played with her hair. Secretly, she winked at her companions as they watched her flaunt her charm.

"Mister, I've been trapped in this array for days, tired and exhausted. I was starting to lose hope that some hero would appear to rescue me. And then, you showed up!

That is every girl's dream, don't you think? Every princess longs for her knight in shining armor to save her. In return, she will devote herself totally to him.

Mister, will you be my hero?"

the woman asked sweetly as she displayed her alluring body for Austin to see. Austin acted as if he were deeply attracted to her, but deep down, he felt sick to his stomach.

"Want my help?" Austin asked.

"That's exactly what I want, mister. All you and your friend need to do is attack the array from the outside. We've been attacking it from the inside, but it fights back with the same power. It's what got us trapped. If we want to get out soon, I really think that attacking it from the outside would be the only solution," said the woman.

Austin didn't know if she was telling the truth. He turned to look at Violet, who nodded at him lightly.

Austin then nodded and said, "Okay."

The woman was overjoyed. "Thank you, mister. After we get out of this, I'll give you whatever you want as payment," she promised.

Austin grinned. Then, he and Violet began to attack the array with their vital energy force.

He telepathically told Violet to disguise her cultivation base to make it look like she was only at the preliminary stage of Earth Realm.

The four people in the array looked at each other and smiled slyly after they saw Austin's and Violet's cultivation base of vital energy. They believed they could get rid of the two easily.

The array could only be broken from the outside. If the four were not trapped inside the array, they would have already broken it easily.

After Austin and Violet hacked at the array for a few moments, the semi-circular energy shield started to shake visibly and its color began to fade away. It was about to collapse in five minutes.

The four watched, elated. They had been trapped in the array for two days. Getting out would have taken them even two more days. Having someone else to help them out was the best thing they could have asked for. They really did not want to stay there any longer.

Soon, with Austin's and Violet's persistent blows, a crack appeared at the surface of the energy shield. It seemed to have reached its limit and it was unable to maintain itself anymore.

Boom! With a loud explosion, the energy shield exploded and the array was broken. Austin and Violet shook as a massive amount of force gushed out of it.

The four heaved a sigh of relief when the array broke. Then, they immediately ran up to Austin and Violet, seizing them viciously.

There was no use to hide their true intentions now. The woman who flirted with Austin acted so lovestruck when she was in the array. She looked at him with so much longing and affection that it would have fooled anyone.

But as soon as she got out of the array, she completely changed. Contempt was written all over her face. She looked at Austin and Violet as if she were looking at worthless animals.

"This is Ghost Valley. Why did you two come here? This is a very dangerous place, you know," taunted one of the two men as he looked at Austin and Violet scornfully.

"Ghost Valley?"

Austin and Violet looked at each other, shocked to hear the name of the valley. 'No wonder there are so many ghosts in here. It's probably why people started calling it with that name. It definitely earned its reputation.'

The four looked at Austin and Violet strangely when they saw their reaction.

The woman who seduced Austin giggled and asked him curiously, "Are you lost, mister? You don't seem to be aware of where you are."

Despite Austin's and Violet's confused expressions, the four were not convinced that it was genuine. They didn't believe that Austin and Violet were ignorant about the valley. After all, it would have taken them a day to reach the array from the entrance of the valley. If Austin and Violet only chanced upon it, then it would have been highly unlikely for them to go in that deep. Still, Austin's and Violet's expressions were so convincing that it was hard to tell if they were lying.

'Did these two idiots really enter the valley by accident and are not looking for its treasure?' the four wondered in disbelief.

"Yes, we came here by accident," said Austin.

"We don't know this place. Can you guys, by any chance, tell us the story of Ghost Valley and why there are so many ghosts here?" he inquired.

"Mister, have you heard of the Ghost Sect before?" the woman asked.

"Ghost Sect!"

exclaimed Austin as he recalled the sect.

"Okay, it looks like you have. You seem to know something about it. Because you helped us, in return, I'll tell you what you want to know," she offered.

According to the woman, the Ghost Sect was an evil sect of the Violet Orchid Empire. It was an ancient group that was known for its strong power many years ago, and Ghost Valley was its base.

500 years ago, the head of the sect decided that he wanted to put the whole Violet Orchid Empire under his rule, making the Ghost Sect the leader and all the other sects its subsidiaries.

To do this, the members of the Ghost Sect killed numerous cultivators and collected their ghosts for cultivation.

This was because they needed countless ghosts to cultivate their martial skills.

To defend against the Ghost Sect, all the sects and forces, large and small, united together to form an alliance that would resist the Ghost Sect's invasion. For a month, they fought relentlessly. They did not stop until the Ghost Sect was completely wiped out. Now, the Ghost Valley was deserted as its main residents were obliterated.
