The Supreme God novel Chapter 279

The foot of the Sun Mountain was bearing witness to a lot of hustle and bustle right now.

Red flood-dragon horses, about a dozen in number, could be seen galloping from a mile away, swift as the wind. Before long, they reached the mountain and came to a halt in the blink of an eye. The man leading this company of horses was the Chief Elder of the Flaming Sun Valley, and his name was Dwayne.

The red flood-dragon horse was a rare saddle horse which had earned its name because its head resembled the flood dragon and its body looked like a horse. It could travel tens of thousands of miles a day and was originally a level three diabolic beast. People had managed to tame a number of them and now, they were used as saddle horses.

Evidently, a horse-like body didn't mean it being a horse, and the red flood-dragon horse, even with its equine body, was still so expensive that only very large sects could afford it.

Besides, not everyone had the ability to tame a level three diabolic beast.

Although there were a small number of red flood dragon horses in Sun Sect, they were reserved for the six Elders and the Sect Leader only.

Austin was not qualified to ride them, nor was anyone else regarding that, even though he had already become a principal disciple.

The horses had come near the Sun Mountain. Dwayne had mobilized half of the red flood-dragon horses in the Flaming Sun Valley in his search for the man who had killed his grandson.

The horses were quite conspicuous wherever the riders went and drew a lot of attention. Therefore, as soon as the company arrived at the foot of the Sun Mountain, the disciples guarding the door immediately noticed them and sprang to attention.

Still seated on his horse, Dwayne ordered them in a loud voice, "Go to Elder Jaime of your sect. Tell him that his old friend Dwayne is waiting for him."

The guards were surprised to know that their sect was being visited by people from the Flaming Sun Valley. The latter was quite famous and acknowledged to be far superior to Sun Sect itself. What business could these men have?

Also, there were a dozen men in the team, and each of them was riding a red flood-dragon horse. Clearly, they were very powerful and must have been famous in their own sect.

Thinking about all this, the guards didn't want to mess with the company and immediately sent the message he was ordered to.

After a short while, a short but shrewd old man with flashing eyes rushed out of the door to greet the company.

"Haha! Welcome! Dwayne, my friend! I'm so glad to see you! I can't believe you've come to our humble sect. What brings you here?"

The old man was one of the six prominent Elders of the Sun Sect, Jaime.

"Jaime, it's very nice of you to say so. I hear that the disciples in Sun Sect are quite extraordinary. Today, I have come here in person just to see how strong they really are."

It was about his tone that left Jamie flabbergasted.

"Dwayne, what do you mean? Has any disciple of the Sun Sect offended you or the Flaming Sun Valley? Just spit out his name! We have been friends for decades, and I will certainly not be partial to our disciples. I am not going to rest until you are satisfied. Just tell me what happened."

Dwayne was the Chief Elder of the Flaming Sun Valley and was extremely powerful. In fact, it was said that he could often influence the decision-making by the Valley Owner in the sect.

Jaime was a smooth and slick person. The man in front of him was famous and powerful, and he'd even kiss his ass if he had to. As for the disciples he had mentioned, he really didn't care who they were. There were tens of thousands of disciples in the Sun Sect, and it didn't matter if they lost one or two of them.

So as soon as Jaime heard Dwayne's words, he decided that even if the person his friend mentioned had done nothing wrong, he would still let him do whatever he wanted to. As far as he was concerned, he didn't want to anger Dwayne, even if it meant the sacrifice of one or two Sun Sect disciples.

Dwayne's face softened after he heard Jaime's reply.

"Huh, It's not that big of a deal. Is there an outer disciple named Austin in the Sun Sect?"

"Austin?"

Jaime was surprised when he heard the name. Of course there was an Austin!

"Yes, there is. But Austin is a principal disciple now."

"Oh! A principal disciple. No wonder!"

Dwayne gritted his teeth when he heard the news.

"Forgive me but I have to ask. Is Austin the one who has offended you or the Flaming Sun Valley?"

"Offend me?" Dwayne dropped all pretenses, "The brat killed my grandson Raymond!"

Dwayne's eyes blazed with fury and his face twisted at the mere mention of this.

Jaime gasped in astonishment at the news.

But he was also secretly happy to hear that.

'Haha! Good job, Austin! This time, you are definitely dead, and I don't have to lift a finger to make that happen!' He thought merrily.

Jaime had always hated Austin, especially since the latter had become a principal disciple of the Sun Sect and won favor with the top leaders. Much as he had issues with Austin, he hadn't found a chance to do something that would give him his revenge.

But now, to his delightful surprise, Austin was the culprit who had killed the grandson of the Chief Elder of the Flaming Sun Valley. This time, the bastard was doomed for sure.

"What? Austin was so bold that he dared to hurt your grandson! Dwayne, to be frank, Austin is a notorious bully in the Sun Sect, and he is showing no signs of stopping his campaign to do evil.

I am sure as hell going to report this to our Sect Leader and ask him to expel this vicious maniac who slaughtered the innocent at will and tarnished the reputation of Sun Sect. Once he is out, he is at your disposal!"

Jaime tapped his chest and said.

Dwayne was pleased to hear him say so. He nodded in satisfaction at his friend's proposal and replied, "That's very good. Thank you Jaime, for your help."

Jaime nodded his head and invited the company up to the mountain where the Sun Sect was situated.

...

In Peace Town, outside the Ganges Auction House, five murderous, brutal, and cruel men smelled blood and entered the Ganges Auction House.

"Are you sure that Austin is inside the Ganges Auction House?"

One of them asked another in a low voice.

"Yes." The man replied. They were members of the Blood Wolf Team. "We have several hidden spies lurking in the Ganges Auction House and they found Austin's name in the guest register. According to our friends, Austin is inside today!"

"Okay then. Let's get inside and find out where he is. When the auction is over, we will follow him.

Oh, almost forgot. We can also see if there is something in the auction that interests us." The man grinned.

Ganges Auction House was the most famous, largest, and the one having the most widespread chain of auction houses in the entire Violet Orchid Empire. It had branches almost everywhere.

In fact, one could say that it was monopolizing the auction house business in the whole empire.

"Sure. It's a good chance for us to look around and see what the Ganges Auction House has to offer. What I am wondering is, Austin is a mere nobody at the Energy Gathering Realm and we are five Wolf Generals. So why has our leader sent us to kill such a weakling? It's a waste of our talents doing such a petty job. Why did he make such a fuss over this trifle? Anyone could have killed him.
