When the Scorching Evil Fire sensed Austin's spiritual soul, it made a move to defend itself. But it wasn't hostile towards the intruder.

As it continued to swell up, it formed a head-sized scarlet fire and tossed itself towards Austin. It gave off a strong heat as it floated in front of him. Despite Austin's high cultivation base, he was still having some difficulty in defending himself from the overwhelming power the evil fire was releasing.

The temperature surrounding Austin increased tenfold as it reached several hundred degrees Celsius.

The water started to vaporize in the air because of the increasing temperature.

Austin was freaked out by the damage the evil fire had caused. Realizing that his life was in danger, he wasted no time and opened his palm where Snow Lotus Elixir pill appeared. It was a pill gifted to him by Angus that could give off a chill. He initially thought that he could have some control over the Scorching Evil Fire because he had made his spiritual sign on it. But to his astonishment, the evil fire released such an extraordinarily powerful force that he couldn't possibly manipulate.

In the hope of reducing the pain, he immediately stuffed the pill into his mouth.

As the pill started to melt in his tongue, Austin could feel a cold breeze in his mouth.

The cold breeze flowed to his throat, and he felt his throat freezing. He started to shiver and noticed that thin ice chips started forming on his hair.

The chilly breeze rushed through his energy meridians in all directions. All the spots it reached were instantly covered with a layer of milky ice.

The pill had dispelled all the heat the Unearthly Fire released. As he felt much better, Austin heaved a long sigh of relief. Life began to crawl back into his face as it turned less pale.

The Snow Lotus Elixir had not only relieved him from the agonizing pain, but it also healed the injury caused by the Scorching Evil Fire in his energy meridians, muscles, and bones.

The Snow Lotus Elixir pill had worked its wonders beyond Austin's imagination.

While the elixir took effect, Austin focused on controlling the Scorching Evil Fire that was running through the energy meridians.

Perhaps it was because he had successfully attached his spiritual sense to it that the Scorching Evil Fire started to calm down and flow towards the path according to his will. This brought much delight to Austin.

He began manipulating the Scorching Evil Fire and guiding it to flow along the energy meridians.

After a while, he was becoming better at keeping the Scorching Evil Fire under control as it began to follow Austin's orders smoothly.

With his progress, Austin was determined to tame the Scorching Evil Fire even if it would take him a whole day. He sat on the ground near the crack with his legs crossed, calmed himself down, and concentrated his mind in the task at hand.

During this process, Violet got out of her Illusion Bead and stood beside her master to protect him. Since he was focused on the evil fire, Austin wouldn't be able to keep an eye on his surroundings. If someone sneaked into the bottom of Fire Valley, there was no way he could detect it instantly making him prone to sudden attacks.

A day had passed and nothing unusual happened.

Thanks to Violet who kept an eye on Austin, he could focus on taming the Scorching Evil Fire. Austin finally opened his eyes which were sparkling with great joy.

After spending a whole day with it, he finally was able to control and refine the Scorching Evil Fire. From now on, the Scorching Evil Fire which ranked third among the Unearthly Fires belonged to him.

The rapture he felt was beyond words.

It was a day full of surprises indeed. Aside from taming the Scorching Evil Fire, he had also managed to subdue it. If without Angus' help, he wouldn't have gotten to the bottom of the Fire Valley and met the evil fire, not to mention tame and refine it.
