"Hey, you free at the moment? Listen, I need your favor."

Pearl got straight to the point.

Ada was checking her face which was beaten black and blue by her husband. Her husband punched her really hard though she was still his wife.

Given her bruised face, Ada wasn't able to go her home or attend any events for a few days.

Ada brushed away tears. Her parents and her younger brother hadn't the remotest idea about her suffering. They had long assumed that she was married to the wealth and was well-fed and clothed. Besides, she reported only the good news and not the bad.

Ada considered her younger brother as a bloodsucker and started to have a beef with him.

Two million that Kylie gave her all went toward paying his gambling debts. Not long afterwards, however, he had a remarkable amount of gambling debt again.

Though helpless, she was not going to sit and watch the creditors chop her brother's hands off for not getting enough money to pay the debts. Therefore, Ada was forced to steal money from the safe at home.

However, she got caught and was beaten up. With bruise all over, she was unfit to meet anyone for the time being.

Even though she was interested in what Pearl said, Ada was still embarrassed to see anyone.

Pearl said that it wasn't a big deal but she needed Ada right now.

After deliberation, Ada found five million too tempting and accepted it. Ada silently put on her clothes and a mask.

Ada stopped pushing the door open.

"Madam, it's late. Are you still going out?"

As Ada entered, she was shocked by the person lying on the ground. Ada recognized Daisy instantly.

"Pearl, you want me to take care of Daisy's body?"

Five million meant an illegal act, which was too risky. Ada shook her head.

Indeed, she needed money, but she wouldn't do anything illegal.

"Well, I do need your help, and she is still alive."

Pearl closed the door and invited Ada into the room.

"She's alive, so you want me to bury her alive?"

With that thought, Ada didn't dare sit down and she wanted to walk away immediately. This was totally out of line!

Were it be a man in the street, it was tricky enough, let alone it was Daisy.

This was out of the question.

Ada covered her face with her hands and her eyes widened in shock. "What if I don't help her, will she kill me? Oh my, I'm dead meat."

Since Ada entered the room, Pearl had only said one sentence, and Ada let her imagination run wild.

What was amazing was that Ada could tell that it was Daisy.

"What she said is logically right."

Jane continued to watch the livestream. Five million was a lot to Ada and too little money couldn't get Ada involved.

Ada had muttered to herself for a few minutes. Pearl couldn't take it anymore and interrupt Ada.

"You're way over-thinking this."

Pearl poured a glass of water for Ada, but Ada didn't dare drink it for the fear that the water was poisoned.

Seeing Ada acting like that, Pearl was speechless.

"I don't like her and had beaten her up. But she didn't know that I did it."

Pearl told Ada the feud between Daisy and her and had emphasized that she was seized with a sudden impulse.

"It did work off my anger by beating her but now I regretted this hasty decision for the reason that Daisy won't let me go if she knows it was me."

Pearl said she was not afraid of the Carts since she was from a wealthy family but she disliked troubling herself.

"I'm afraid of being inconvenienced, so I need your favor."

Oddly enough, Ada was bruised, which added weight to their car crash.

Well, it seemed that Ada and Daisy were sort of companions in misfortune.

"I see."

Ada quickly understood what was going on, her eyes flashing about restlessly.

"In fact, this wasn't a big deal and Pearl could ask anyone for help. The reason why Pearl needed me was just because I got along with these rich ladies."

"You explain to Daisy that you and Daisy bumped into a tree while drunk driving."

Daisy didn't dare investigate the "accident" even if she had doubt about it. Drunk driving was a criminal offence and Daisy wouldn't risk being mired in such a scandal.

Especially when Sophia was pregnant and was close to marry the Floyds.

Ada was surprised though she knew what had happened on the Princess Faith.

Anyway, Sophia was not a fair lady at all. She could have sex with her brother-in-law amid her sister's engagement ceremony.

This news was not a secret. Even if Pearl didn't told Ada, Ada could soon find out.

Therefore, Daisy was in a tough time and she could only swallow her rage.

Pearl said, "I will arrange the place to drink and the accident scene. You are only responsible for being a witness and speaking up for me, just as I told you. You should convince Daisy that she did have a car accident."

It was a simple task with five million.

"Five million isn't enough."

Pearl said, with a bitter laugh. Jane did understand Ada and had predicted that Ada would asked for more.

Ada was unsure about Pearl's reply. She lied and she could have five million without any risks.

She was willing to accept the offer.

But when it came to the business, someone bade, and she bade up prices. Maybe Pearl would accept the bid.

"Deal."

Pearl agreed readily. She ate a piece of orange and said, "You know, all you need to do is lying. It doesn't worth so much. I have my reasons for giving you more money."

Ada was a very unpleasant individual, but she could prove helpful at certain times.

"Thank you, Ms. Pearl, for resolving the pressing need for me. I hope that we can continue our cooperation."

Men were unreliable and she needed to be on her own. Ada was short of money and connections.

Helping Pearl was equivalent to approaching the most rich and powerful ladies, which could only do her good.

As for her ugly and mean husband, if worst came to worst, they could get a divorce. No big deal to Ada.
