Trapped with a Lawyer novel Chapter 230

"Don't bother, honey. You can reward me in another way... Hmph..." Ella was interrupted by Samuel's kiss.

Soon after, the bathroom was filled with their passionate sounds as they made love to each other.

It was 6:30 am, when Samuel woke up.

He secured the quilt on Ella and got out of bed.

After taking a shower, he walked straight to the dressing room, unawared that Ella had woken up.

Ella was deep in thought. She had contemplated for a long time last night and found their reunion was a golden opportunity to bring Jane back.

Samuel walked out of the dressing room, tying his tie. Suddenly, Ella stood in his way and stopped him.

She put her arms around his neck without hesitation, taking in his scent.

Samuel put his right arm around Ella's smooth and slim waist and said. "It's so cold. Go back to bed."

Although the heating was on, Samuel was still worried about Ella's health and didn't want her to catch a cold.

Ella wasn't cold at all. She pulled Samuel's tidy tie and spoke in a coquettish voice. "Samuel, sweetheart, can I talk to you about something?"

"Sure. What's wrong, honey?"

Samuel carried Ella with his powerful arms, put her in bed and tucked her into the quilt.

"Sam, can I bring my daughter here to live with me?"

Hearing that, Samuel stood still, displaying a dark unreadable expression.

"No. You have to take care of Jerry too. It's impossible for you to handle two children at the same time."

How could he agree to that? He would never raise another man's child.

Ella knew Samuel would not agree with her request so easily, so she looked at him, feigning pity. "Sam, my daughter's father is dead. It's not right for her to live alone. She needs her mother. You can't expect me to abandon her?"

In fact, this was also an opportunity for Samuel to figure out Jane's identity, if he was so inclined to do so.

Therefore, if Samuel didn't find out that Jane was his daughter by himself, he could not blame her for not telling him the truth.

However, Ella believed that Samuel was smart enough to find out the truth. After all, he resembled Jane too much, in features and manners.

The father of her daughter was dead? Somehow, Samuel was glad to hear that.

Ella was still staring at him, so he decided not to bother about a dead man for Ella's sake.

"Alright. You can bring you daughter here, but I need to set some rules."

Ella curled her lips covertly. Jane was his daughter and it was his responsibility to raise her. Now he was putting forward conditions in exchange?

However, a flattering smile appeared on Ella's face. She nodded and said, "Of course. Anything you want."

Samuel was disappointed by the thought that Ella was only complying because of the little girl.

However, every time Ella mentioned her daughter, Jane would always appear in his mind.

Perhaps, it was because Jane and Ella's daughter were of the same age.

Then he said, "First, promise me that I won't see her near me. You can hide her in our house or through other ways. I don't care." He was busy with work and hardly stayed at home during the day. Therefore, Ella could make sure that they didn't meet when he got back.

If he saw that little girl, he might want to strangle her and Ella.

"No problem!" Ella replied.

"Second, you must put me in first place, Jerry second place and your daughter, last. As long as Jerry and I are at home, you must take more care of us than your daughter!" Ella curled her lips again because of Samuel's overbearing requests.

'Samuel, the more unreasonable you are, the later I will tell you that Jane is your daughter!' Ella thought.

Then she nodded compliantly again. Samuel was satisfied and put forward the third condition.

"Third, as long as I am at home, you must sleep with me rather than with your daughter."

Finally, Ella understood Samuel's intention. He put forward those requests to make sure that she would not ignore Jerry and him because of Jane.

She flattered Samuel and feigned happiness, "Honey, no problem! I promise. You are so sweet!"

Samuel looked at Ella closely and saw through her attempt to mask her displeasure.

"What? I have promised that you can bring another man's daughter here. What else do you want?" Was there any man more aggrieved than him? No. He did feel that he was in a hell, of his own making.

"No. That's enough! Sweetheart, you are so kind! I want to kiss you!" Ella hugged and kissed him hard. She would bring Jane to live with them, and hopefully the father-daughter relationship would flourish.

However, it was up to Samuel whether he would find out whether she is his daughter.

Samuel was frustrated and hugged Ella tightly. He didn't want to talk about Ella's daughter anymore and just said, "You can bring her here, as long as you want to."

Then Ella got up and went to the bathroom to shower, while Samuel went downstairs. Jerry was having breakfast. When he saw Samuel, he put down his sandwich and said, "Morning, Samuel."

Then he picked his sandwich and kept eating without even glimpsing at Samuel.

Jerry's indifferent attitude made Samuel become distressed.

He sat opposite of Jerry and a servant served his breakfast.

After finishing a spiced egg, Samuel raised his eyes and looked at Jerry. "Jerry, let me ask you a question."

"What?"

"What's the name of the little girl we met yesterday?" Samuel was not sure whether Jerry knew that the little girl was Ella's daughter.

The little girl? Jerry was drinking milk when Samuel asked and he almost choked. What did his Daddy know?

"Daddy, it was... eh... Jane."

Samuel was stunned. It turned out that Jane is Ella's daughter. When he realized that, Jane's charming big eyes appeared in his mind instantly.

Jane, the cute kid, was Ella's daughter.

He was very frustrated.

Samuel couldn't swallow anything because of those unbearable facts.

He decided to go to work. When he was ready to go, he remembered something. He said to one of his servants, "Clear the room upstairs, the one near Jerry's room, and decorate it according to little girls' tastes later on. Buy whatever you need."

The servant nodded, "Yes. Sir."

Samuel knew that if Ella's daughter was Jane, he would never dislike her.

However, Ella should never expect him to like Jane. After all, Jane's father was not him, so restraining his dislike was all he could do.

Samuel smacked the door irritably and stared at the clear blue sky outside. 'Why me?' Samuel asked in his mind.

Ella was perusing through the internet as she had breakfast. Catherine was in the hot topics, just as planned.

"Catherine, a former lawyer, has sex with five African men at a hotel." The simple but direct headline created a good balance between arousing readers' desire to check further, and not giving out too much information.

Well done.

Ella wanted to read on but stopped. She decided to read it after finishing her breakfast, in case that the content was too disgusting.

She finished the breakfast as soon as possible, wiped her hands and clicked on it.

Although the key parts of the pictures in the news were covered with mosaics, Ella still felt like she was watching an X-rated film, which almost made her throw up.

There were over twenty high definition photos. The journalist was so dedicated and professional that he took many photos from different angles to show readers what had happened.
