Trapped with a Lawyer novel Chapter 235

Jane's little black eyes flashed. They seemed so familiar to him. Perhaps it was because they were too much like Ella's!

"Of course it is true, I wouldn't lie to you."

They put Jane to sleep in her cot. Samuel unloosed her small pigtails. Her long black hair was as smooth as Ella's when touched.

Nodding softly, Jane wished them booth goodnight. "Goodnight Mom, goodnight Uncle Samuel..."

Ella's heart ached at her daughter's sweetness. No one knows a daughter better than her mother. As a mother, she certainly knew her daughter's character.

Of course, you wouldn't think she was a sweet girl from the way that she acting when she antagonized Sven the other day.

"Goodnight, dear Jane!" Looking at the little figure, Samuel's heart melted.

Sure enough, Ella's daughter was cute and lovable. Only a few days after moving here had she won him over.

Samuel expected it. The familiarity of her eyes captivated him the moment she moved in.

His efforts for his own daughter, though, seemed in vain. Ella still showed no signs of pregnancy.

Did she…? He began to examine Ella's body, with his inquisitive eyes. Finding that she froze, Samuel spoke faintly. "Ella, are you wearing your ring?"

What? What ring? Confused, Ella looked at the man.

"Then you've been taking some contraceptive drugs, " said Samuel. He immediately pulled a long face at the possibility.

She'd done it before, and he caught her. It wasn't impossible to imagine happening again.

"Drugs?" It gradually dawned on Ella what he was talking about.

"You and your questions! Oh, you can guess!" Throwing his hand off, Ella went to bed.

"Stop!" His cold voice made her stomach turn over.

The way she ignored him angered Samuel.

Turning off the lights, Samuel leaned on the door of the bedroom and waited for Ella to come over.

She had to check the children every night. This ritual never changed.

Ten minutes later, Ella finally came from Kang Kang's room and found Samuel framed in the doorway.

Her outstretched hands were held tightly in Samuel's. "Wait!"

"Why?" If he wouldn't let her in, why would he ask her to live here? Ella was confused.

"You can't go in until you promise me something." Seeing him standing there seriously, she was annoyed.

He hadn't explained the matter of buying a ring for Molly this evening but now it made all sort of trouble for her!

"Samuel, if you don't let me in, I'm just going to leave. There is no need to harass me like this!"

With these words, Ella turned around and intended to go downstairs.

But Samuel pulled her arm, refusing to let her go one step further. "Honey, you misunderstand me, I'm not harassing you.

Even if I am, you deserve it. From the time you got on the bus to now, you didn't even try to explain yourself. I'm not a fool!"

Ella wriggled free and ran to down the staircase in rage.

If she left now, everything Samuel had striven to achieve would be in vain!

"Stop. I'll explain in the bedroom. I just want you to promise me to close your eyes when entering the room. Is it okay? It's very simple, right?"

"What? Come in with my eyes closed? What is this, some kind of trick?"

Samuel waved her doubt away with a nod. Ella's temper had a short fuse, But she eventually calmed her mind and walked back up. She closed her eyes. Samuel sighed, and pushed the door open, leading Ella by the hand.

After taking her to the window and getting everything ready, Samuel whispered, "There we go!"

The scene in front of her made Ella, hitherto annoyed, beyond excited in an instant.

The huge floor-to-ceiling windows had been naked before, but now in front of them stood a table covered with red silk.

On the table was a large bouquet of roses, with a double-tiered cake on a plate.

Dangling above the table were heart-shaped balloons.

She turned around and noticed on the big bed behind her. The quilt was laden with rose petals.

She glanced down, and the man who had brought her in was now on his knee in front of her, holding a brocade box in his hand, inside of which sparkled a large diamond ring.

"Ella, will you marry me?" Samuel proposed to her sincerely with a loud voice, gazing at Ella with eyes full of love.

Deeply moved, here eyes turned red, and her heart began to pound wildly.

The man she loves! Proposing!

Only through its experience was Ella fully able to understand how excited and happy people got in movies and TV shows.

Ella was immersed in joy, so much so that she forgot to respond to Samuel.

Samuel, unfazed, asked again, even louder, "Ella, I love you, please marry me!"

She nodded quickly with a gushing look on her face. She took the box he held.

So her evidence was wrong. It turned out that Molly and he had had gone together to buy the diamond ring for her. Everything came to light.

Samuel took the diamond ring from the box. He put it on Ella's ring finger and gave it a kiss.

Ella wiped her tears and said in a frail voice, "Haven't we been married? Why are you proposing again?"

Samuel smiled and took out his mobile phone to take a few selfie shots with Ella.

Then Samuel posted it on his WeChat immediately. "Of course for those fans who want us to be together again."

No one knew what reason he had. Only Samuel himself knew.

The reason why he proposed to Ella was that he wanted her to marry her all over again...

Samuel also took her phone and forwarded his own WeChat post with the caption: Yes, I do!

Faced with his childish behavior, Ella was speechless. Did he really just want to cater for the fans?

After he finished updating, Samuel returned her phone to her. She had to admit, the picture looked good. Particularly for Samuel, he came out well in the picture, even though it was his first time to taking a selfie.

It was the first time they'd taken selfies together, at least. Ella downloaded the photos and set it as her screensaver.

Samuel took notice, and took her mobile out of her hand. He turned on the camera, and took Ella in his arms again.

Samuel bowed down to kiss her, and clicked the camera in his hands.
