"Ella, please, look at me!" Samuel held each side of her face, forcing her to look into his eyes.

Ella kept shaking her head, "No! I hate you! You are the worst! I will not look at you!"

She had began to believe that all men were bastards. This Samuel was no exception. For a moment, she was glad she had kept Jane despite Samuel's coercion.

"Okay, don't look then. Ella, it's going to be fine!" Samuel put her head on his shoulder and gradually, Ella calmed down.

When Samuel heard Ella say that she hated him, he realised that she still had not forgiven him for what had happened to her four year earlier.

He sighed softly and held her tighter.

After Ella completely relaxed, she felt weak all over her body. Her legs became numb. She would have fallen to the ground if Samuel wasn't holding her firmly.

When Samuel realised that she was weak, he lifted her and put her on the bed.

"Get some sleep." He put the palms of his hands on her forehead and rubbed the sides of her face.

Ella soon fell asleep. Samuel tiptoed away from the bed after tucking her in.

He picked up his phone and found there were a dozen of missed calls since he had put the phone on silence.

The first call he made was to the local Sheriff. "Mr. Shao, Amber has admitted that she asked someone to kidnap Ms. Ella. But she said there is someone else behind it and insists to have a meeting with you..."

Samuel was thrilled to hear the word "admitted". But then he sneered, "She should just tell you the name of the person. What is point of meeting her? Since she has confessed and five people are dead. Isn't that enough to sentence her to death?"

However, Samuel was not telling the Sheriff that Ella was nearly violated.

He knew that once Amber was behind bars, he could easily bribe the warden to give her some "special care".

Meanwhile, Amber kept requesting for a meeting with Samuel at the police station.

No one knew what her mother told her. Catherine had arranged with the guard to leave them alone for their one and a half hour's meeting.

From the day of her mother's visit, Amber remained silent. She did not speak much, it was as if she was already dead.

Meanwhile, Samuel was holding Ella tightly in his arms. He felt there was something wrong after a whole night's deliberations on the phone with various people.

The next morning, he went to the police station as soon as the sun came up.

The police told him that Amber had confessed to everything and the car that was taking her to prison had just left.

'Amber had confessed?' Samuel started his car and headed towards the woman's prison in the C Country.

When he arrived at the prison, the car which was ferrying Amber had not arrived. It was still on its way.

He waited in the Warden's office for about ten minutes. Then Amber was brought in.

Samuel had met Amber before she became popular. He knew her well. Just like any other star in the entertainment world, she had been living behind the finery of brightness, luxury and elusive aura.

But now all that finery had been stripped off and she was just plain.

The dark circles under her eyes were too conspicuous, probably because of lack of enough sleep.

Now she looked like a normal girl in a crowd not like the famous actress she was.

Amber's eyes remained wandering until she saw Samuel. She fixed her gaze on him but said nothing.

She had done bad things because of this man.

Step by step, she kept sinking into this vortex of jealousy without thinking about the consequences.

Samuel did not say anything to her. But before he left, he asked the warden to keep an eye on her.

Then Amber was locked in one of the cells. She was alone.

Samuel returned to his office. He lit a cigarette and was in deep contemplation.

He remembered that though Amber had been insisting for a meeting, she did not say anything to him about the mastermind behind the crime.

It was just what the police had said, she took all the blame.

She said she planned it all by herself.

When asked about her motivation, She told the police that she did it because she was jealous of Ella and the deep feelings she had for Samuel.

Though there were many girls who had expressed their feelings to Samuel. he realised that, He didn't have any affection or sympathy for girls like Catherine or Amber.

Unconsciously, Samuel associated it with the incident that had happened four years ago.

All her actions were designed to hurt Ella. Could it be that they were all designed by the same person?

That afternoon, Samuel called the Warden

And instructed her to administer corporal punishment to Amber.

The punishment would be nothing compared to the things she had done to Ella, if truly she had committed the crime as she had claimed.

Though Samuel was busy the whole day trying to resolve the matter, he came back to the villa before seven in the evening.

The villa was empty as he had expected. Ella was not there.

He called Ella but she hung up on him.

He did not know what to do next. He called Harry. He intended to ask Harry for the location of Ella's apartment. However, he thought that Ella knew exactly what she was doing. She had chosen to leave on her own volition. He respected her decision.

If she didn't show up in several days, he would try to find her.

In the play that Ella had been acting in, the filming of Prince Jin's Favorite Concubine was suspended. Two-thirds of its budget that had been invested by Samuel had already been consumed.

Eric was troubled by the suspension. Then Samuel's assistant Ellie called.

She informed Eric that Samuel would continue to support the series. However, that complicated the filming. It was late to audition another actress to re-shoot Amber's scenes. He hoped that Ella would be available.

Samuel required that Amber's scenes in the series be acted by another actress.

Ellie further informed Eric that the money would be soon be transferred, however, the date of re-shooting depended on Ella's availability.
