Unspoken Love novel Chapter 40

It was Luna's birthday.

Moriah wanted to hold a grand birthday banquet for Luna.

Long before Moriah had divorced Jerry, the philanderer with many affairs. Afterwards, she had established her own business and lived a wonderful life.

She wanted to announce Luna's real identity so that everyone would know that Luna was her own daughter!

Luna appeared in the banquet in a hand-stitched evening gown designed in Italy. The banquet was full of toasts. Moriah raised her glass and introduced to all the wealthy businessmen and celebrities in the City S.

"Hello everyone. Next, I would like to introduce Luna Covey, my own daughter, to all of you!"

Everyone was in an uproar.

"Wasn't Ariana Moriah's daughter who was still in prison?"

"Yes. Was Luna the illegitimate daughter of Jerry and Jessica? How did she become Moriah's own daughter?"

"Was Moriah driven crazy for a daughter and randomly pick someone?"

"Then she's really crazy."

"Don't you know that it was all Jessica's plan? In order to make her daughter live a life of true wealth, Jessica switched Moriah's daughter with her own daughter when they were still babies. Therefore, her own daughter could enjoy the privilege of being an orthodox bloodline while Moriah's daughter lived a hard life with her!"

"Oh my God! That's really vicious!"

"Yes. Luna and Moriah are unlucky enough to meet Jessica in their lifetime!"

"But it's Okay. At least the truth is unveiled now, which is a happy ending."

The news spread out widely.

Moriah knew the news would eventually reach Jerry and Jessica. She believed that their situation and reputation in the City S would definitely worsen.

Knowing Luna's identity, many people came up to greet her, especially some single men. Seeing that Luna had a good background and was beautiful, they were even more attentive.

Luna couldn't drink much but she still tried to respond them with a glass of wine. Then Brodie appeared, he took the glass and drank it all in one breath. He gently and naturally put his arm around Luna's shoulder and said to the toasters, "Sorry, my daughter's mother couldn't drink much."

After hearing that Luna not only had husband who was Brodie, the most influential man in the City S, but also had a daughter, these men left in disappointment.

It was as if they regretted missing the chance to marry a wealthy family's daughter. All of them left in frustration.

After they left, Luna dodged Brodie's embrace without revealing any traces and whispered, "Thank you, Mr. Melton."

"Mr. Melton" was enough to show her attitude.

"Did you get angry about what I said?" Brodie was a little cautious.

Luna was stunned. She didn't expect that one day, Brodie would actually care so much about her feelings. She was slightly dumbfounded, and could only answer after a while, "No, I'm very grateful for what you said just now to help me out."

"Can you watch fireworks with me to express your gratitude?"

Luna looked at him with puzzlement.

"Or, can you have dinner with me?"
