Unwanted Wife novel Chapter 46

After Monique went to Jewel's house she went straight to a famous bar, almost two weeks ago when they had a misunderstanding as a couple and until now they still can't talk to Cain, she doesn't know what else she need to do, she called Cain how many times but she didn't get an answer, she also went to his condo but he didn't face it.

She even went to the young man's office several times but it was always in that meeting, his secretary told her. The other day he saw it in a mall. She was planning to approach him but she stopped walking when she saw a woman with Cain. 

She felt hurt but she could do nothing because she knew she had made a mistake.

She has been following Cain for almost a week but she always sees it with a woman, every time she sees it she seems to be crushed but she can do nothing but accept it. Someone also said that Cain was often at the bar and drank sometimes with his friends, she also knows that Thunder is angry with her.

A few minutes later she reached the bar, she quickly parked her car and went straight inside. She felt that she needed alcohol now.

She sat at the bar counter because she was alone, she ordered tequila and the bartender served it right away. She was in the middle of drinking when she noticed a familiar person at a table not far from where she was.

At first she is not sure if who it is but later she recognized it was Cain, the man she would never forget but now she is seeing the man she loved with someone else and kissing another woman.

Suddenly her tears flowed because of what she saw, now she seemed to know the answer to her questions. It seems that Cain has already started to move on. It hurts but that's the painful truth, she tried to avoid him but her body and eyes are not cooperating.

Later she was surprised to see Cain look at him but later he just diverted her attention again to the woman he was with. Monique just smiled.

Cain's POV

I'm here at the bar now to pass the time. I'm very tired from work because for almost two weeks I've only been doing meetings. While I was sitting alone and drinking, someone approached my woman.

"Hi, handsome are you alone?" the woman asked

I didn't answer her and continued to drink but she was just talkative and sat beside me and since I'm alone I started talking to her also, she's pretty and funny. But I was surprised when she suddenly kissed me and because I was drunk I was carried away. After a few seconds I saw Monique staring at us, at first I thought that I was mistaken that this is not her, but in the long run I knew it was her cause I know her very well. I could see her tears dripping so I quickly averted my gaze from her and turned back to the woman I was talking to.

The woman beside me continues to talk but my attention is on Monique who has now turned her back on me and drinking alone, even though we are not okay I am still worried about her especially and now she is the only one here at the bar. I don't want anything bad to happen to her.

It's been almost two hours and I'm still drinking while the woman I talked to earlier is still here. 

Later we saw Monique approaching our place.

"Can I sit here?" she said while holding a glass of tequila. I know that she is already drunk

"And who are you? Can't you see, we want to spend our time together," The woman beside me said.

"And so? You think I care? I'm not talking to you so don't talk to me also," Monique replied.

"You will come here to our table then make a scene here. Pathetic!"

"You don't own the table and chair here and most of all you don't own this man," Monique said.

"You bitch! Get out of here!" the woman shouted

Monique wants to say something but Cain speaks. "Enough you two! Don't make a scene here, if you want to fight then go outside and not in front of me." Cain's voice was in a serious tone

"I don't want any fight here Cain, this woman started it," the woman next to him defended.

"I didn't do anything! I'm just asking if I can sit here. And oh I'm not talking to you but you keep on talking to me you are an attention seeke stupid bitch!" insult by Monique

"I said enough! What do you want, Monique? Stop making " Cain shouted.

Monique could hardly believe what the young man said.

"Am I making a scene here? Really Cain? She started this, I asked you but she's the one interfering in the conversation," she replied to the young man.

"She is with me and I don't see anything wrong. You came here without our permission. Don't bring your bitchy attitude here," he said.

Monique's mouth fell open because the young man said she felt embarrassed because of it. She felt pain so before her tears could drip in front of the two turned around it walked away.

'You're good at hurting me, Cain.' she whispered

Cain on the other hand, felt remorse for what he had done to Monique, he did not mean to say it but when he did not intervene they could grab their attention from other people here. He quickly stood up and left the woman and walked to follow Monique, he even heard the woman calling to him but he no longer paid attention to it.
