　　Dinner came and the trio were having their delectable meal. Veronica noted how warm she felt after tasting the food that she even had lost count of her round of rice.

　　It's not that her personal chef in Bael Force HQ or their family chef in the castle in Country R were any less better, it's just that, Rawlf's personal chef's food tastes too heart warming.

　　Veronica promised to get acquainted with the chef to learn a thing or more about his cooking secret and skill.

　　After all, she had her own children well, a family to feed and from time to time, would also

　　want to cook for them someday.

　　"Chef Boris is always the best! My my, these foods, I may not be able to keep my figure if I am to stay here for long", Madame Vanessa was sincerely and cheerfully complimenting the food. Obviously, the madam was infected by the heart warming effects of the food.

　　"Indeed. I am even impressed", Veronica agreed.

　　"True my dear. Anyway, I have been planning to visit a mall tomorrow to buy some things, how about you join me? Or you better! I really need a second opinion with the things that I will have to buy."

　　"Mom, Veronica is bus-"

　　"It's okay. I am good. I don't have anything much to do tomorrow. I can accompany you auntie", Veronica cut Rawlf and hold his hand under the table to assure him.

　　Rawlf looked at her to assess her willingness and seeing as she was smiling kindly at him, he conceded.

　　"Perfect. I'll be picking you up around 11 in the morning so we can have lunch together outside!" Madame Vanessa was actually not content as Veronica was calling her aunt.

　　What aunt?! It should also be mom ah! But understanding the situation, the madame knew that she had to be patient. Anyway, eventually, they will get there!

　　The madame gave Veronica the kindest smile before continuing with their dinner.

　　"Are you sure about tomorrow?" Rawlf asked Veronica while cuddling her in their bed. They're already about to retire the night but Rawlf was still adamant for no reason at all.

　　"Come on, don't act like your mom is a witch who would poison me or whatsoever. She's nice. I like her."

　　Rawlf smiled at that. It's nice indeed that his woman gets along with his mother. Well, he doesn't care if his mother's treatment of Veronica would be the opposite since he's already too old enough to be dictated to by anyone including his mother but it's indeed even better that both important women in his life have a harmonious relationship.

　　Plus, for their cubs to have a loving and peaceful environment growing up.

　　"She's desperate to have grandchildren actually. That's why she's doing her best to trap you with me", Rawlf said in an amused tone.

　　Veronica giggled and felt relieved after hearing what Rawlf just said, "When do you plan on telling her about our cubs?"

　　"Soon. But not soon enough. I haven't even met them yet. I still want to spend time with them with you and not yet with mom since I know that she will have the tendency to take the cubs all for herself. Who knows she might even kidnap them someday."

　　Veronica pinched Rawlf's waist, "What kind of son are you?! You're accusing your mom of a criminal tendency!"

　　Rawlf laughed out loud. His laughter was infectious that Veronica herself laughed at her man's words.

　　"No, no, trust me!" Then Rawlf turned serious.

　　"Mom is... I know mom has been lonely through the years and yet, I can't do anything about it since I have been very busy with Sy International as well. She has no trusted friends as well because of her paranoia that they may be trying to be friends with her to curry some favour or to get close to her husband and snatched him for themselves. Well, can't blame mom because all of that man's mistresses were mom's former friends, except Ric's mother. One of the things maybe that I admired about mom was that, after I took over the Sy International, she also started to leave separately from her husband."

　　"You're calling your father like he's a stranger", Veronica noted.

　　"He has never been a father to me. If I wasn't a confirmed genius and capable, who knows that he might have given Sy International to one of his bastard sons."

　　Veronica hugged Rawlf tightly and kissed the crook of his neck to sooth him. "It's okay. I am not feeling anything anymore. More on like indifference for him."

　　"Then why were you not doing anything now to make your mom happy? Date her if you have a free night. You are her only son and of course, it can't be helped that she will feel lonely. She's aging with nothing to expect from her husband. She only has you, Rawlf."

　　"I was trying. It's just that maybe, my nature as a man is different. You know that there is this theory that distinguishes women from men. And I guess, what I think is enough was not enough for her."

　　Veronica furrowed her eyebrows, "Ah, I hope our son doesn't grow into a man like you! Of course it's not enough not because of the difference between a man and a woman's emotional value but because simply, you haven't done enough for your mother! You're only spoiling her with money and luxurious things, Rawlf but what she really needs is love and attention from her only son!"

　　"Really?!" Rawlf can only say those words, surprised by Veronica's sudden outburst and also because of a realization that dawned on him.

　　Veronica sighed, "And here I thought that your emotional quotient is up to your intelligence quotient", Veronica sighed once again.

　　This man really needed to be taught a thing or two! This will also be a training ground for their children on how to treat them someday when they get older.

　　Well, her children already witnessed the healthy environment with her and her siblings' treatment towards their parents but with Rawlf, she is afraid that the father might influence their cubs with how they treat them someday when they get older!

　　Veronica grimaced just the thought of her twins acting like their father.

　　"Hey, don't be mad anymore. I actually just realized that now. I'm even feeling guilty", Rawlf said in a sincere tone.

　　``We need to advance our schedule to country R. You need to see your children soon so that you would also tell their existence to your mother.'' Veronica said seriously.

　　Rawlf on the other hand can't help but grin and be more excited. "Better", Rawlf replied, not hiding the joy in his voice.

　　Veronica rolled her eyes and thought of all the ways on how to somehow make Rawlf's mother happy tomorrow in her company.

　　She turned to Rawlf who was already asleep after being content with knowing that he will see his 'cubs' soon.

　　'Ah, this man!' Veronica thought in annoyance for his man and pity for the Sy madame.
