Veronica CEO's Underworld Queen novel Chapter 101

　　Veronica followed the Madam to their assigned table. Surprisingly, there were unfamiliar women who were also seated there.

　　These women were not there yet when excuse herself earlier for a break. Her line of sight caught the back of a woman sitting on their table.

　　Veronica could tell that the woman was a young woman.

　　When one of the ladies on their table saw them, Veronica saw her open her mouth and she could her lips saying,

　　"They're here." Everyone else on the table turned their way. Veronica maintained her unreadable yet polite expression.

　　When they reached their table, the women stood up to show their respect towards the Sy Madam. Vanessa nodded her head in acknowledgement and said in a rather soft voice.

　　"No need for that. Let's all sit", She then turned her eyes towards the younger woman on the table, the same woman whom Veronica assumed to be much younger compared to the madams there.

　　The woman seeing the sight of the Sy Madame smiled pleasantly yet still with reservation. "I'm glad to see you here, Aunt Vanessa."

　　The woman then turned her head towards Veronica, her smile is harmless…, or so it seems.

　　"It is Katarina. It's a surprise to see you here. Hope your parents are doing fine." The Sy Madam said in platitudes. But this is the extent of the Sy Madam being polite to other people. Even if this lady is no other than the daughter of Country P's President Cang, Katarina Cang. And also used to be the same woman who she hoped to be her future daughter in law, prior to her knowing about Veronica and her lovely grandchildren.

　　In fact, no matter how she thought that Katarina Cang was suitable for her son, Vanessa has no regrets. Veronica is very beautiful, intelligent and portrays virtues she's fond of and much more, given to her two extremely adorable grandchildren! Not to include that her stoic, fierce son loves her to the extent still unknown to the Sy Madame.

　　She realized that no one is as suitable for her son than Veronica. These happy thoughts are masked carefully on the Sy Madame's frosty expression.

　　"They're doing just fine auntie. But also, I couldn't deny of papa's business." The woman smiled then added with a hint of sweetness, "also, papa send his regards you and Rawlf, auntie."

　　Vanessa nodded then turned to Veronica.

　　"I would like to introduce you to Veronica. She's Rawlf's fiancée. Veronica Hija, this is Miss Cang, President Cang's daughter and this is lady Mu and lady Song. Both are the wives of retired military generals."

　　Veronica uttered her, "Please to meet you", towards those ladies being introduced to her. She observed Katarina Cang's expression and she saw no changes.

　　This seemed to be a harmless woman is what made Veronica carefully observe her more. With the way she called Rawl's name in familiarity and sweetness, Veronica is not stupid to realized that the woman has hidden passion reserve for her man.

　　Considering that she's also a daughter of Country P's most prominent figure, Veronica wouldn't take this Katarina as a simple woman.

　　Veronica then remembered something which made her quite stole a glance on Katarina's way and as if confirming something, she turned her attention towards the talking Mu and Song madams.

　　Katarina would from time to time insert her piece but not totally intervene. Veronica also observed that throughout the time, Katarina would maintain her smiles yet her reservation is obvious.

　　If Veronica is to make her analysis, the woman is much older than her, probably late twenties.

　　She's wearing a terno, blue pastel suit with a white tank making the woman appear glamorous, mature and oozing with sophistication.

　　Definitely a woman of high birth.

　　Veronica's phone suddenly rang which caught the attention of everyone on the table. True to her prediction it was Rawlf.

　　She took a quick glimpse of the time on screen, and it's almost ten before answering the call. She first excused herself on the table then greeted,

　　"How are the kids?"

　　She could hear the sexy chuckle coming from the man on the other side.

　　"They already asleep, love. I just called to tell you that I'm coming over to fetch you." "Are you on the way? Who's driving?"

　　"Yes and it's Secretary Ryan." "It's late. Why is he with you."

　　"He sent some documents tonight. Don't be jealous over him. My relationship with Secretary is purely employer to employee."

　　Rawlf said in a joking manner which caught both Veronica and Secretary Ryan who was driving off-guard.

　　Veronica almost choke from her saliva and if Secretary Ryan wasn't just being his usual high alert self, could have long bumped the car unto something.

　　'This man, since when did he learn to make jokes like this?!' Veronica thought to herself. She rolled her eyes then answered,

　　"Okay, let me tell mom that you're coming over. Call me if you have already arrived. Take care."

　　"Okay love." Rawlf then dropped the call and his earlier serious expression returned back to normal.

　　"Continue." He signaled then at once, Secretary Ryan reported how everything in Ming Corporation unraveled according to his plan.
