　　"And you didn't even hint that you were with the Rawlf Sy! Veronica ah, you are always something!"

　　Yvette looked at her with a pout although sincere happiness for her is apparent in the eyes.

　　Everyone else nodded in agreement. Veronica decided to meet up with her friends because even if none of them weren't able to attend the fundraising event last time where the Madam Vanessa Sy introduced her as Rawlf Sy's fiancé, her friends were able to get an information of this and all of them called and messaged her nonstop to confirm the truth.

　　After her visit at Baelforce and after especially soaping her younger brother, Edward, who has been living his life in dilly dally ever since he arrived in Country P.

　　"I'm supposed to tell you guys, it's just that I've been too busy and it got lost in my mind."

　　"Hmp! What was lost in mind? You're intentionally hiding it and I don't think you'll ever tell us if not because the Sy Madam announced the truth at the event", Floyd chided while sipping his tea.

　　"And much more, you didn't even tell us we have lovely and adorable niece and nephew around! You are such a bad friend!"

　　Pearl said in a rather soft tone, but obviously she's a little mad. Everyone else once again nodded.

　　Veronica's mouth twitched every time they all do this.

　　"Guys, okay let me. I'll tell you everything you want to know."

　　Soon, everyone turned silent, their faces were clothed with eagerness.

　　After the meet with her friends, Veronica was driving on her way to Sy International to fetch the kids. It's around three in the afternoon so she pulled over at a famous bakery shop to buy them their favorite chiffon cake.

　　Arriving at Sy International, Veronica parked her car on the underground parking lot especially reserved for the executives of Sy International, since Rawlf previously gave her an access card for the security.

　　After walking out of the car, she made sure that she closed it safely before walking her way to the elevator. The tall security guard who saw her from afar straightened his body then bowed towards Veronica as she approached.

　　"Good afternoon young madam!"

　　'For sure that man already coordinated with everyone in distinguishing me.' Veronica thought. She nodded in acknowledgment and waited for the elevator to come down.

　　As the elevator door opened, she saw two figures walking out. A man and a woman. One is Secretary Ryan probably sending the woman off, which happened to be the woman she met at the fundraising event and is the eldest daughter of Country P's President.

　　Veronica remembered that last time, Vanessa was polite to this woman, obviously giving the woman a face in public, also she could recall how she called Rawlf's name sweetly giving an idea that they must be closely acquainted to be able to call Rawlf in his name in front of his own mother.

　　The woman's eyes held a surprised look after seeing her but then it instantly vanished as soon as it appeared. But it didn't pass on Veronica's hawkeyed observation.

　　Being an assassin for years and being in the underworld, it's one of the skills she nurtured. The said woman nodded towards Veronica and then smiled sweetly at her.

　　"Hi! Miss Veronica Wang, right?" The woman greets her before Secretary Ryan could greet Veronica.

　　Veronica by instinct started to dislike the woman. It's not because she's giving early prejudice but her years in the underworld heightened her senses towards other people.

　　Whether to trust or put her guard on, Veronica always has faith in her own instincts.

　　Just to be civil since she's not directly acquainted with the woman, the same as how she treated the employees of the Sy International, she nodded towards the woman who's name she could recall as Katarina Cang.

　　Seeing as the woman and Secretary Ryan already stepped out of the elevator, Veronica without another, entered.

　　"Miss Cang, be safe on your way."

　　Veronica heard Secretary Ryan. Obviously the Secretary is trying to send the woman off so he could attend to her.

　　"Yes thank you Ryan. Please send Miss Wang in." Veronica smiled gently after hearing this. Although her inner and invisible eyebrow is raising, "Secretary Ryan, please do send the guest in her car safely first. I can manage on my own. I'll be going on first."

　　She once again nodded her head and pressed on the elevator to close. She looked towards the woman, an amiable look in her eyes like the host bidding the guest on her way out. In reality, this is also the truth.

　　Rawlf loves her and she does too.

　　They have children together. His mother and father clearly accept her to be with their son. Only marriage is lacking to make everything about them legally official.

　　Basically, she is indeed the host and the woman is just a guest, albeit her intention, either it's personal or even business. So when the woman as if hinting for Secretary Ryan to send her up like she (Katarina) is the host, and her (Veronica), is the guest, Veronica couldn't help the pettiness in her and show the woman who is the guest and who is the rightful host and also, to subtly hint her, her position.

　　Truthfully, if Veronica isn't aware of the real politics in Country P, she could have at least show the woman a face, but with her own academic background, she knew that despite being the President, President Cang held lesser power compared to the combined powerful oligarchs or, the elites of Country P.

　　The Sy clan is the most powerful among them, who held an enormous power, wealth and influence. And, Rawlf is the considered patriarch of the Sy clan since his takeover of Sy International.

　　Veronica just came out of the elevator when suddenly she moved sideways. Sound of a broken porcelain rings throughout the executive receiving area.
