Chapter 65 None of Them Moves

Terrence said nothing and left the room as she wished.

Alexa was depressed. Her stomach was uncomfortable, and a feeling of nausea came over her.

She casually wrapped her clothes around her and stepped into the bathroom barefooted.

After soaking herself in the hot water entirely, Alexa finally truly felt that she was still alive.

Alexa sank under the water. She didn’t raise her head from the water until the oxygen in her lungs was completely exhausted.

The moist air poured into her body, but she became more and more uncomfortable.

Alexa grabbed the edge of the bathtub and coughed violently for a while. Her lungs were getting more and more painful, so she had to slow her breathing. She panted.

Alexa regained her senses. She looked down tiredly and suddenly realized that the clean hot water

turned red.

The glaring red of the blood gradually spread out in the water. Alexa felt her heart gradually throb with pain. She immediately struggled out of the bathtub.

With the mirror on the wall, she finally saw her face clearly.

His mouth was stained with blood, and she got swollen all over.

She was not even like a human.

Alexa endured the fear and woodenly dried the water in the bathtub. Then, she got the sleeping robe

on the side.

It was just a simple action, but her hands were shaking violently. It took her a long time to put on

the clothes.

In the face of such a situation, Alexa thought of Terrence immediately.

However, she picked up her phone and dialed Kieran’s number.

“Is there any pain in your lungs? Do you feel your heartbeat increasing?” Kieran said in a serious tone, “Can you come to the hospital now? I’ll be there soon.”

Alexa looked at the clock on the wall. It was already half past five. It was going to be dawn soon.

“Dr. Powell, I’ll go to the hospital during the day,” Alexa said calmly. “I don’t feel very uncomfortable now.”

“Yes, I understand. Thank you, Dr. Powell,” Alexa said softly.

Considering her special situation, Kieran hesitated. But he still could not relax.

“You must come to me as soon as possible. Cherish your life. You must not give up.”

Kieran had met many patients with serious conditions since he became a doctor. He often encouraged his patients.

However, Alexa was different. This was the first time he had encouraged his patient in a pleading

way.

In his eyes, it seemed that she had always been unhappy, and she had no interest in anything. She had never shown any strong emotions in front of him.

Alexa must know her own situation better than him, but it seemed that she had never been afraid.

There had never been someone taking her to the hospital.

And he thought Terrence perhaps still didn’t know about this.

As a doctor, this was the situation that Kieran hated the most..

The company of families could greatly reduce the pain of patients, but Alexa didn’t have that.

Because Terrence was two-timing her, Kieran did not have a good impression of him. Coupled with this matter, he considered Terrence extremely terrible.

After Alexa hung up the phone, she took a short nap.

The alarm clock rang just after a while.

After that busy night, Alexa felt extremely bad.

In order to not let people find she was sick, she deliberately put on thicker makeup today.

Alexa pushed the door open and went downstairs. She happened to see Terrence coming out of the

study.

He wore a deep blue suit today and looked dignified and more aloof.

Alexa exchanged a look with him, but Terrence did not show any emotion, as if he had seen nothing.

He just walked away.

She hadn’t said anything yet.

Alexa silently sneered and quietly followed him downstairs.

He casually got himself a newspaper and silently browsed it, but from time to time he glanced at

Alexa.

Instead of following him to sit down, she quietly went to the door.

Terrence’s deep gaze focused on her back, and before he could say anything, Mina stopped Alexa.

“Mrs. Ramsey, aren’t you eating breakfast?”

Alexa smiled tenderly. “No, I have something to do. I’ll go now.”

Just as Alexa finished speaking, Mina cast a meaningful glance at Terrence.

He put the newspaper aside and continued to eat the food on the plate.

“You’re not going to the company?” Terrence asked with no emotion.

“I am. I won’t be late.”

Alexa put on her shoes, hurriedly picked up her handbag, and left.

The hospital was far from the company, and to save time, she took a taxi.

As soon as she closed the door, there was a Bentley behind them, following them at a proper

distance.

As he expected, her destination was the hospital.

Terrence parked the car at the entrance of the hospital with a displeased look. Then, he picked up his phone and found her number.

Alexa ran all the way in and did not notice the phone in her purse.

Terrence called her several times in a row, but no one answered.

He wondered, what is she hiding from me? Does she deliberately not answer my call?

Terrence immediately got out of the car and followed her with a gloomy face.

When Alexa arrived at Kieran’s office, he was waiting for her.

“Do a CT scan and a blood test. It will be quick,” Kieran said. “You can have breakfast after you’re done. I guess it won’t affect your work.”

“Alright.”

“Okay, come with me.”

When Terrence came over, he saw Alexa taking off her coat and handing it to Kieran.

“What are you doing?” Terrence shouted in a low voice, walking to them in an imposing manner.

The moment Alexa saw him, her face turned pale.

Kieran calmly talked to her in a low voice.

“Go, or it will be too late.”

“Okay.”

Alexa responded. Her feet became too heavy, and it was difficult for her to move a step.

“I arranged a CT scan. If you find it unreasonable, you can complain to the hospital,” Kieran said to

Terrence.

“Didn’t I arrange a checkup for you? Why didn’t you go?”

Terrence stood in front of her and asked her word by word. Alexa’s eyes were red. She even felt a faint pain when breathing.

“Excuse me,” Alexa politely said. “Thank you.”

Terrence was immediately getting furious. He grabbed her hand fiercely.

Kieran saw this and immediately grabbed Terrence’s wrist.

None of them moved. The atmosphere was terrible.

“Let her go.” Kieran looked serious and unchallengeable. “You don’t even have this little bit of common sense! You are making a fuss!”,

Terrence glanced at him and gave a cruel sneer.
