Worship The Ground You Walk On novel Chapter 59

Hanna was the type of woman that Kim hated most. She looked innocent and kind, and few people could see them through.

Hanna was like a flowered rooted in poisonous soil, red, beautiful, and attractive; however, she had been polluted by the poison from the inside out. She was beautiful, but the beauty was lethal.

That was what kind of woman Hanna was.

Hanna didn't care what Kim thought of her at all. She looked at Claudia and explained again, “Claudia, please don't get us wrong. It's not what you think!”

Claudia was very confused. She furrowed her brows.

She wanted to trust Hanna. She just hated how all these people were making such a big mess here.

Ben stepped forward. He cast a glance at Claudia. The next moment, his big palm grabbed her slender wrist. Then he pulled her in his arms. He looked up and said to Scott, “We have plans. Excuse us.”

Before the other people said anything, he dragged Claudia away.

Hanna didn't stop them. They were still married, and that was what husband and wife would do. She knew she didn't have the right to get between them.

Scott watched all these things happened in silence. He scorned it. Then he greeted Kim and left.

Kim and Hanna were left alone. Kim put the ice cream on the table and asked Hanna, “When will you leave Ben?”

Hanna was about to leave, but she stopped when she heard Kim's question.

She turned over and looked into Kim's eyes. “Whether I'll leave him or not carried little weight on their marriage.”

“Really? You're haunting him and kept a vague relationship with him. If you're not the other woman, I don't know who would be.” Kim said as she played with the ice cream in her hand. Her words were harsh.

Hanna smiled and sighed as if she had no choice. “You misunderstood me. I do have connections Ben, but it's all about work, as for other aspects...”

Before she could finish, Kim stopped her.

“That's your excuse. You still love him, right?”

Hanna fell in silence after she heard that.

She loved Ben.

She had kept him in her mind for all these years.

That was why she insisted to showed up and be with him. She didn't expect to be the other half for the rest of his life; her only wish was to be a little part of his memory.

“Miss Lewis.” The emotion in Kim's tone had alleviated. She looked serious, as if she was about to discuss a business project.

“You are an excellent woman in every way - your career, family background, and your ability. Women like you can own a perfect relationship as long as you want. Your relationship with Ben has been over! You should be clear that he's someone else husband now! No matter how excellent he is, it won't have anything to do with you!”

Kim's words were like hail from the sky, falling on Hanna's heart. It was broken.

This was the fact that she had always been reluctant to face and accept. She always tried to deceive herself and others, and tried to pretend that everything was just fine. Now the bandage had been torn away, leaving the bloody scar exposed.

In the underground parking lot, Ben shoved Claudia in the car. The door was then slammed shut. Ben sat down in the driving position.

He didn't start the engine. He was just sitting there. It was quiet inside, which made it a perfect place to chat.

Ben took out his cigarettes and held one in his mouth. The lighter flicked and the smell of tobacco started to disperse in the air.

Claudia sat in the passenger seat and looked at him. She signed, “I want to see Conrad.”

“Have you made the decision?”

Ben asked with his gravel and sexy voice. It sounded low and vague. Claudia found it so hard to read the complicated expression in his mysterious eyes.

She frowned impatiently and signed, “It has nothing to do with our divorce. He's my son, and I'm his mother! I have every right to see him!”

“Right?” Ben responded as if he had heard a funny word. He repeated it and sneered.

The next second, Ben turned aside to her swiftly. His muscular body pressed her. Then he put his big strong hands behind her head. He blew a puff of smoke on her face.

Claudia was choked. As she coughed, she vaguely saw the man watched her with a gloomy face. She was afraid of looking into his eyes.

“You're discussing mother’s right with me now? Claudia, who taught you that?”

As far as Ben could recall, Claudia was a beautiful and quiet woman. She was always the most low-key one. Sometimes Ben couldn't feel she existed.

When Claudia stopped restraining herself and directly discussed her maternal rights with him now, he felt she was a bit cute because she looked like an angry little bunny.

The complicated feeling flickered in his mind. Then his eyes turned back as cold as frost.

“I don't need anyone to teach me that. He's our kid, and even if you forcibly divorce me, I swear I'll get the full custody!” Claudia's hands moved and looked decisive. She looked so tough and agitated when it came to the custody of Conrad.

Ben stared at her. Flames of anger burned in his eyes as he recalled the picture of Claudia and Scott sitting together. He squeezed her hand tighter.

“You kept saying that you don't want a divorce, but you've been thinking about how to get the custody of our son. Claudia, you'd better say it like you mean it!”

Claudia suddenly paused. Then she shook her head, but he wouldn't trust her.

“Sign the divorce papers, and you'll get the custody!” Ben stood up and said coldly.

Claudia's anxious fingers curled. She looked at Ben's handsome profile and signed, “I don't want a divorce, but I'll fight for the full custody of Conrad if you insist on it. I want nothing else other than my son!”

Then she got out of the car without giving Ben any chance to argue.

She slammed the car door and left.

Ben watched the lonely view of her back. She couldn't believe this weak woman just exploded with rage using sign language.

His slender fingers tapped on the steering wheel irregularly. His dark eyes were constantly rolling. Then he saw Hanna walk out of the elevator.

He started the engine and drove close to her. The car window slid down and Ben said calmly, “Get in.”

Hanna didn't refuse him. She walked past the car head and sat on the co-pilot seat.

“Ben... you and Claudia... are you really gonna get a divorce?” She suddenly asked.
