Worship The Ground You Walk On novel Chapter 69

In the baby room on the second floor, Conrad lay in the little crib and fell asleep in his nice dreams, sometimes grinning slightly with his mouth open and giggling.

Claudia sat quietly on the side, gently stroking her son's little face, feeling sorry for him but not knowing what to do next.

She thought about her son day and night and looked forward to seeing him again.

She wanted to hold the baby into her arms, but she was afraid of waking him up, so she could only hold back, sit on the side, and watch him quietly.

Ben appeared upstairs silently while she was focusing on the baby, leaning against the door. He was staring at Claudia, who had an extremely delicate profile. Her long hair formed an excellent arc around her ears, and her warm smile, moreover, emphasized her charisma to him.

He rarely observed her carefully like he was now.

Thinking to himself carefully, he hadn’t cared much about her since they got married two years ago. He thought that they got married just because of the will. It was a marriage without love, but only mutual responsibilities instead.

But why did he feel... uncomfortable when she had an accident today?

Ben was cold and calm since he was a child, and he had excellent control over emotions. He was extremely capable of self-discipline and management. He had never lost his sense because of anyone or anything.

But today, he was almost out of control...

Hearing a slight sigh of him, Claudia noticed that Ben had come, so she turned around and met his gaze with her inquiring eyes.

He didn't speak but waved at her.

Claudia pursed her lower lip awkwardly, got up obediently, and walked outside.

Gently closing the door of the baby room, Ben directly held her thin wrist with his big hands. Then he dragged her into the master bedroom in three or two steps.

As the door opened, his broad and strong figure leaned against her, covering her soft breath. They hugged together and turning around as the door closed, he pressed her against the door.

He supported her side head with one hand, while rubbing against her lips with the other. He stared at her, finding himself reflected from her little pupils. Not bad, he thought.

"Why did you want to plead for that person today?" He whispered, his voice low, and his eyes full of desire. His big hands stroked her cheeks, which made her a little itchy.

Claudia looked at him, barely reached out her two small hands, and expressed it in sign language, "I have told you he did this because he missed his past wife so much. I feel very sorry to him and understand his feelings, so..."

Before she could finish her sign language, he interrupted her.

Ben pinched her chin and sneered coldly, "Do you think he loves his wife very much?"

Claudia was slightly stunned. Didn't he?

"Then you know how his wife died?"

Speaking of this topic, Ben couldn't help but smile again. The smile made him more charming and attractive. She was lost in his smile.

No woman could refuse such a man, who was full of hormone. His magnetic sound made him even more attractive.

He held her face and didn't rush to answer. Instead, he leaned forward and kissed her with his thin lips.

His kiss was wild and violent, like always.

It seemed that he wanted to fill all the blank of this period of time. He kissed her directly with great strength, and this made her lost again.

After a while, he slowly let go of her before continuing the topic just now, "His wife died because of him. She committed suicide due to a severe depression. Everyone knows that!"

Claudia was shocked when she heard that!

So Mr. Connor’s wife died because of him?!

But he still pretended to be sad in front of Claudia, as if it were true. Was he acting all the time?

When Claudia was still immersed in her astonishment, Ben started to touch her curly figure with his big hand. His hand kept roaming down on her body, which made Claudia intoxicating.

In the next second, the man quickly bit her earlobe with his thin lips. His fiercely gentle bite made Claudia itchy and out of control.

Ben was experienced. All the women would surrender to him of their own accord.

Seeing Claudia's body gradually soften, he whispered in her ears with his charming voice, "How can you believe him, Claudia? Should I say you are naive or stupid?"

She was stunned, but she felt the slander in his words.

Ben smiled and hugged her directly. Then he turned around and threw her onto the big bed...

The night when she returned to the Crawford’s house again was amazing. She was entangled with a net of desire he knitted for her, which drove her to be obedient to every crazy position he asked, no matter how many times he want, not until they both became exhausted did they pant in climax and collapsed on the bed. Claudia, however, being too tired, fell asleep in the sunrise.

She forgot go back to the guest room, but curled up her body in the corner of the bed, eyes closed.

When Ben came out of the bathroom and went to bed, he saw her at once.

This little woman still had sweat left on her forehead and the blush on her face caused by sex. Her face was so beautiful that he could not move his eyes away.

Ben, who had been accustomed to sleeping alone since he was a child, stretched out his hand and put the woman in his arms inexplicably. Claudia was asleep, but unconsciously she also hugged Ben with her slim arms. She rubbed her face in his arms, and then continued to sleep.

Damn it! Being rubbed by Claudia, his...sex drive was aroused again!

In the Evans family, Blair had just answered Mr. Connor's phone call. She was trembling due to anger and entered Amber's room with a cold face.

"Who asked you to do this?"

The scolding was in Amber's expectation. She received the news as soon as Mr. Connor failed and was scolded by him.

At this moment, she shrank in the hanging chair and used a small blanket to cover herself. She just spent her time with her mobile phone without saying a word.

"Do you know that Mr. Connor has always cooperated with our group. You completely angered him this time! How should we work with him in the future?"

Blair did not know how to say. She walked closer, snatched the phone from Amber's hand, threw it on the bed, and said, "You spend too much time on the phone! You even took Claudia to the nursing home and let her meet her son! How can you do that?"

Amber was so angry that she replied, "I just wanted to win Claudia's trust with that little benefit. I didn’t expect that Ben would go there as well!"

Moreover, many people were spreading the news that Ben and Claudia would divorce soon. Therefore, as long as Mr. Connor and Claudia have a relationship at this time, they would not only get divorced, but also Claudia would lose her reputation!

They could kill two birds with one stone.

Amber also wanted to take a good revenge for her mother, but she did not expect that Ben would still care about Claudia. He even gave Mr. Connor a lesson for the mute!

"I don't care how you deal with it. You go and apologize to Mr. Connor anyway! If we lose this big customer, our business will be worse!"

As Blair urged Amber to apologize to Mr. Connor, Amber have to obey though she was still unconvinced, so she responded and went out, holding her coat and bag.

Amber was driving straight to Mr. Connor's house, and she drove so fast along the way. She was so angry that she wanted to crash in minutes. Even if she was dead now, she wanted Claudia to die with her!

"You wait and see! Claudia!" Amber said to herself fiercely.

She was driving fast all the way to the villa before she arrived.

When Amber saw Mr. Connor, he was sitting on the sofa with his left arm hanging in a bandage and plaster cast. He looked a little embarrassed.

Nate didn't hit Mr. Connor that hard and only broke his arm because of Claudia’s plea for mercy. Otherwise, his injury would be worse.

Seeing Mr. Connor, Amber immediately changed her expression. She stepped forward with a smile and said, "Mr. Connor, how are you doing...?"

As soon as she got closer, she was pulled into his arms by Mr. Connor, and Amber was stunned.
